This young Husky/Shepard dog mix was the victim of divorce and owner surrendered to the Euless shelter. Dash is 15 months old, 47lbs, fully vaccinated, neutered and heartworm negative. He has a lot of energy as you would expect from a young dog of his breed and would make a great running or hiking partner. He enjoys car rides and would be a great sidekick on weekend adventures. Dash needs a little leash training, but learns quickly and is very smart. He’s dog friendly and loves going to doggie daycare. Dash is the kind of dog that easily becomes a member of the family. Due to his energy level and size, home without small children or frail individuals would be best and would benefit from a fenced in yard.If you would like to meet this fabulous dog, please contact jgressett@sbcglobal.net or 214-536-8606July 26, 2024, 10:32 am

Unfortunately, his foster mom lives in an apartment with no backyard. This is not the best place for an energetic husky.  Dakota loves people and is extremely smart.  As with all young huskies, he needs lots of exercise and a yard to run and play in.  He would also be a great running companion or exercise buddy.   Huskies are not bred for Texas heat, so Dakota will need to be adopted as an inside dog.  Outside living conditions only will not be considered.  Dakota is up to date on shots, neutered, kennel and potty trained.  He will need a yard with a six to eight foot wooden fence. If you would like to meet Dakota, please email steffeniegaprescue@gmail.com  July 26, 2024, 10:32 am

Navajo came to the shelter as a stray and was not claimed.  Sadly this is happening a lot this summer.  It is definitely too hot in Texas outside for huskies, so anyone interested must be willing to make him an inside dog during the Texas heat.  If you would like to meet Navajo, please email steffeniegaprescue@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 10:32 am

Story
"Meet Luna ADOPT ME LUNA Luna is a beautiful 6 yo, 56 lbs, incredibly intelligent Siberian Husky/Shepherd mix who is looking for a home in DFW, TX. She is good with cats. However, Luna's personality tells us that she enjoys being the main, most adored dog in the house. Therefore, she may compete with other dogs in the home for attention, toys, and treats. She is a very people-oriented dog. She loves to be loved on, especially belly rubs, and bedtime snuggles. She loves, loves, loves riding in the car and she is good on a leash. This girl is craving to be someone's main dog on the go. She has an adventurous spirit who craves learning new things. She is not great in a crate, which is typical of her breed. She will go into a crate if you tell her, but it takes her a long time to settle down. MORE PICS IN THE COMMENTS Stats: Spayed Knows basic commands (No, Stop, Bedtime...) Crate-trained, but looking for a home that does not require this. Leash-trained Potty-trained Good with Cats Okay with Dog, but looking for a home where she can be an only dog Good with Kids - if older. No small children due to her size only Current on vaccines Current on heartworm and flea prevention Heartworm Negative Current Dental (4/11/24) Last Check Up with Bloodwork (4/11/24) Medical: Luna has an issue with the skin on her nose and we are in the process of determining if it was her injuring herself trying to get out of a crate or fencing in her previous home, or if there is a dermatology issue. Once she heals up from her dental, our rescue will get her nose biopsied and have the full details available to potential adopters. Questions? cowtownpets@gmail.com Adoption app: https://cowtownpets.org/online-adoption-app/ Adoption fee: $250 Rescue Story: Luna was pulled from her previous home after her owner reached out saying she could no longer care for her. Upon pick up, we found that Luna was neglected in terms of health care and left outside. Despite living in some amount of regular pain from dental, skin and ear issues, Luna remains vivacious, fun, and loving. She is now on her way to being a healthy girl with a bright future ahead of her.
