Meet Skye!Hi, I’m Skye ?? (Yes, this is my serious face.) I know… I look like I’m judging you. I promise I’m not. That’s just my face. Underneath this permanent “resting husky face” is a huge love bug.I’m 5 years old, which means I’m happily past the wild puppy phase. I’m more of a low-to-medium energy girl. I enjoy long walks and may pull a tiny bit at first, not because I’m misbehaving, but because I’m excited and there are important things to sniff. Once we’re home though? I am a professional couch cuddler. Movie nights are my specialty. If you’re binge-watching a show, I will be right there beside you, fully committed to the plot.I’m house trained (zero accidents so far — I’m a classy lady) and crate trained, too. I don’t know a ton of commands yet, but I do know how to gently melt into you for pets. I love car rides, truly a top-tier activity, and I have a soft spot for stuffed animals. Unlike some huskies, I don’t destroy them. I simply hold them. Gently. Like the refined queen I am.I’m very gentle and will happily let you rub my ears and even my feet. I also have a signature move where I lay on my back with my legs straight up in the air like a dramatic little starfish. It’s adorable. You’ll pretend to laugh at me, but secretly you’ll take pictures.I prefer a home with older kids because little ones can make me uncomfortable. I like calm, respectful energy. With other dogs, I’m more neutral and just need a little time to warm up since new dogs can make me nervous at first. I’d probably thrive as the only dog, or with a super chill, emotionally secure dog. I haven’t met cats yet, but my foster parents say I occasionally act like one, so we might be compatible. What I really want is a loving, stable home, maybe with a nice backyard or humans who enjoy regular walks. I don’t need chaos. I just need my people. I’m incredibly loyal, very affectionate, and happiest when I’m near the humans I love.So don’t let my serious model face fool you. I may look like I run a board meeting, but I’m actually just a soft, snuggly husky who wants to be your very best friend.Love,Skye ????To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Milo!Milo is a 45 pound, 7 year old Husky mix who will immediately steal your heart. He came to us from a shelter, where he was dropped off by his previous owner for developing glaucoma, which ultimately led to blindness. Milo’s disability doesn’t slow him down one bit! Most who come into contact with him don’t even notice he can’t see until it’s told to them. Calm-natured and gentle-mannered, this sweet boy makes friends easily with all humans. Milo is very well behaved, hardly ever barking and never engages in destructive behaviors. Milo will do just about anything for a good treat, and is very smart, making him easy to teach new tricks. He’ll be your loyal pal forever if given his favorites - peanut butter or beef marrow bones! Milo is low-energy, but does love to play with his human every now and again. Long walks and learning new tricks are among some of his favorite activities. Milo would do well in both a house or apartment building, as he is low-energy and rarely barks. He does love to spend time outdoors, so a fenced yard or balcony is a plus! Milo loves to be around his people, and enjoys all the snuggles he can get! However, Milo does just fine being left alone if needed and will happily greet you when you return. Milo is crate and house trained, and has not had an accident since being in our care. Though he is crate trained, his foster does not often crate him as he is calm and not destructive. Milo would need slow and proper introductions to other dogs in the home. He would need a friend who is low-medium energy and is patient with him, given his disability, which sometimes leads to him bumping into others/objects.Milo’s glaucoma requires daily eyedrops, which are necessary to prevent pain and disease progression. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Cruz!Cruz a one-year-old Husky/Shepherd–Bull Terrier mix with a story as special as his personality. His mom was rescued from the California fires, and Cruz was born safely in Texas—now he’s ready to find a foster, foster-to-adopt, or forever home of his own.Cruz is all puppy energy—goofy, clumsy, and endlessly entertaining. Think “puppy parkour” meets “professional snack thief.” He loves to run, play, and soak up attention from everyone he meets, including kids, and he enjoys being around other dogs. He would thrive in an active home that can keep up with his zoomies, though he’s also learning his manners with other dogs and will need a patient adopter to continue guiding him.But Cruz isn’t all chaos—he’s got a soft side too. When the day winds down, he’s ready to clock out and turn into your bedtime supervisor: “Excuse me, it’s 9 PM. Lights out.” He’s crate trained and actually loves his crate—it’s his happy place—and he’s currently working with a professional trainer to keep building great habits. With his big personality, loving nature, and hilarious antics, Cruz is equal parts adventure buddy and snuggle companion. He’s ready to bring laughter, energy, and a whole lot of love to the lucky home that gives him his chance. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt.
