Let's give Joey a warm welcome! This adorable pup was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services and is taking some time to relax. Luckily, he's found a fantastic foster home with Alex, who's been kindly putting up with his quirky behavior. We're really thankful to Alex for fostering Joey and helping him settle in. It's been a bit of a bumpy ride, but Joey's starting to feel more at ease. He was initially hesitant around Alex's husband, but they've since become buddies. Joey's also hitting it off with Alex's two dogs. He's still working on his potty training and leash manners, but he's getting there. This sweet pup is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, and he's looking for a forever home. Our Adorable Chihuahua / Jack Russell foster puppy is looking for a forever family! Joey is 9 lbs and 1 year old. This tiny dynamo looking for a home where his person or people will keep up with his training and teach him how to be a loved family pet. He is very affectionate, loving and bonds very quickly. He likes being picked up, curling up in a lap, sunbathing or burrowing under covers. Joey has puppy energy, is great on leash, likes walks around town and playing with toys. He is crate trained, potty trained, good in the car.
He is getting along well with both of our dogs (male and female) although he would be just fine as an only dog. Like many rescue dogs he is a little affection starved and loves to be with people - he would thrive in a home where he is getting a lot of attention. Because of his size, I would say no children under 12:)
With his silky, low-shedding coat, cute freckles and portable size, he will make a wonderful pet. He is the sweetest little thing!!
Joey is being fostered through Gunter’s Legacy Rescue at our home in Larkspur. He was pulled from a kill shelter in Modesto and we are so happy that he has a loving future ahead.
