Story
We acquired him from a previous owner back in 2013 who moved and couldn't have a pet. He was 6 months old at the time and we've had him for 12 years since. Blu is a sweetheart but as he ages has less patience especially with kids. He's bitten kids multiple times and adults at times too. Words to describe him are: energetic, loving, cuddly, loyal (when trust is gained), protective, playful, anxious, he loves being outside, and he dislikes large groups of people.

Story
Meet Pipsqueak, Pip for short! Pip is a 1 1/2 year old Jack RussellTerrier/Pug mix. He’s a really fun guy that thinks having a great time is his job! He is an energetic little dog but has an “off” switch. He just needs his daily walks and he is fine. Pip loves to play with toys and he loves to be snuggled up on your lap. He needs an owner that understands boundaries and balanced energy because whatever your mood is, that’s Pip’s mood too! Pip is a follower and needs a leader. If left to his own devices, Pip will try to run the world and no one needs a Pip running the world! lol! He is happy little dog that just wants to have fun. Have I told you that Pip LOVES to play! And he is vocal when he plays. He will “talk” to you when you talk to him and he will quietly “complain” when he has to wait his turn for treats. He is crate trained and will let you know when he needs to go out to go potty. He is housebroken. He is leash trained but he does pull at first because he is excited and he’s a really good road dog. We feel his ideal home would be as an only dog. He is fine with other dogs but likes all of the attention for himself. He wants to be your number 1 and honestly at this point he deserves it! He has had a rough beginning to his life. We believe Pip would do best in an adult only home. He has never been around children before. Overall, Pip is a good boy but he needs a home that will focus and direct his energy and won’t let him get away with everything just because he is cute and snuggly. And if you want a buddy that has the stamina and personality of a big dog but comes in a teeny, tiny package then Pip is your man! Pip weighs 12 pounds and is full grown. Our adoptions are restricted to residents within 30 miles of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. See our adoption policies for more details on our adoption process. If you are interested in adopting one of our available pups, please complete an adoption application. Story
Raine was adopted from the Los Angeles County Baldwin Park Shelter as a 2-yr-old in 2024 by a young family. All was well until a new baby was born, who Raine thought was a toy! Things went from “trying” to “bad” when the baby became more mobile and a target for pouncing! Raine is a Jack Russel Terrier mix. She has all the exuberant non-stop energy of a Jack Russel, but is also quite affectionate and snugly. She loves wrestle-mania and tug-of-war with her foster brothers and sisters, both smaller and same-sized. She seems a little intimidated by her slightly larger foster brother, but there is no aggression. Raine is a jumper and can easily go 3 feet vertical from a standstill, but for the most part, she is respectful about jumping in or out of enclosures. Raine walks well on a leash, although pulls a little. She likes to ride in the car. She sleeps quietly through the night next to her foster mom. Her house training is reliable if she has access to a dog door and a secure yard. Raine loves her food, so care will need to be given to keep her svelte figure and so she doesn’t scoop up another dogs’ food! Raine has a strong terrier drive to chase little beings, as her previous owners discovered! She gets excited when the bunnies are on the move in their enclosure, and barks at the cats in the catio. She also teases her smaller (and older) foster brothers and sisters, but is readily corrected. After one or two corrections, Raine moves on. Raine would do best in a household with a similarly energetic dog, or with people who will get her out on a daily basis for a long walk or run! She will need to be taught the rules of the house with a firm hand! Raine’s vaccines are up-to-date. She’s neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in Raine, please contact Jean by phone or text 714-803-0154

Story
Frida was found as a stray in Riverside, CA. Despite numerous posts and other contacts, no one came forward for her. Frida is a Jack Russel Terrier mix. The “mix” gives her a broader forehead and funny ears, but she has all the exuberant non-stop energy of a Jack Russel. She loves wrestle-mania and tug-of-war with her foster brothers and sisters, both smaller and same-sized, and doesn’t seem to care who wins. There is never any aggression. Frida is a jumper and can easily go 3 feet vertical from a standstill, but for the most part, she is respectful about jumping in or out of enclosures. Frida walks well on a leash, and likes to ride in the car. She is affectionate and snugly. Her favorite hang-out is the top of a pile of beds her foster mom has stored in the garage – like the fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea!” However, while she may think she’s a princess, Frida sleeps quietly through the night. Her house training is reliable if she has access to a dog door and a secure yard. Frida loves her food, so care will be needed to keep her svelte figure and so she doesn’t scoop up another dogs’ food! Frida would do best in a household with a similarly energetic dog, or with people who will get her out on a daily basis for a long walk or run! She will need to be taught the rules of the house with a firm hand! Frida’s vaccines are up-to-date. She’s neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in Frida, please contact Jean at 714-803-0154 or email jshill828@gmail.com . An adoption application and home check are required.
