Story
Hello, my name is Linky West! I'm around 9 years old and I weigh about 15-20 pounds. I think I'm a rat terrier mix. I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, healthy, and ready to find my new home! I'm house trained and have learned to walk on a leash fairly well. I do not like crates for more than a short period of time, but that's okay because I can be left out without any worry of mischief making. When I first arrived at my foster home, I was very scared and unsure. Over time, I have settled in and come to love it here. I'm so much more happy and confident. I discovered that I love toys and cuddling. I also love treats! Now that I am more confident, I have found my voice and will let you know any time something even remotely interesting is going on in the house or the neighborhood, so I'd do best in a home that did not share walls with neighbors. I live with four other dogs right now. I prefer gentle, easy going dogs and do not care for bossy or dominant dogs. I also lived with cats in my last home. My favorite companion is my human though. Once I get to know you, I will adore you! Where you go, I go. I must insist that I sit on the couch with you and sleep in bed with you.    An odd quirk I have is that I get scared when someone tries to handle me (like a vet) or put something on my body (like a harness). If you slow down and speak sweetly, it helps me calm down a bit. My other request is a securely fenced yard. This is because I sometimes try to dart out the door and run wild, and also because I'm still working on my leash skills.  I'm really enjoying life in my foster home, but I am ready to find my new forever home!   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          September 2, 2026, 2:47 pm

Meet Bonnie — the Brave Girl with a Big Heart Bonnie’s come so far from her rough beginnings as a stray mama. She’s healthy, happy, and finally ready to find the forever home she’s been waiting for. This gentle, loving girl adores car rides, squeaky toys, and cozy cuddle time. She enjoys walks and playdates with other dogs but prefers to be the queen bee at home—the only pup soaking up all the love. Visitors are welcome, just don’t overstay your welcome! Bonnie is house trained, crate trained, and full of heart. She can guard her favorite things like treats, toys, or even affection, so she’ll do best in a dog-savvy, structured home with older kids or adults. In return, she’ll be your most loyal, affectionate companion. Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. Story
Meet Zennia! Zennia is a 4-month-old , 8 lb. rat terrier/poodle mix who is as sweet, playful, and adorable as they come! This little girl is happiest when she's around people and is always ready to make a new friend.  Zennia is a fun-loving puppy with a BIG personality packed into her little body. She loves to play, explore, cuddle, and be part of whatever her people are doing. She's friendly, affectionate, and has never met a stranger she didn't want to investigate!  Like any young puppy, Zennia is still learning the ropes. She's currently teething, so she can be a little mouthy, and her potty-training skills are definitely still a work in progress.  She'll need a patient family who understands that puppies don't arrive knowing all the rules and is willing to help her learn.  In return, you'll get a happy, silly, affectionate little companion who will keep you laughing and fill your home with puppy joy.  Zennia would love a family who will give her plenty of playtime, positive training, attention, and most importantly, lots of love. She has so much potential to grow into an amazing little dog! If you're looking for a sweet, social, playful puppy to grow up with, look no farther than pretty little Zennia. If you'd like to see more pictures, you can visit Zennia's online album at :  http://www.imageEvent.com/newrattitude/zennia   If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Meet Zuni — a tiny, tender-hearted girl learning to be brave . Zuni is a 1-year-old rat terrier with the most soulful eyes and a beautifully unique coat, like she was carefully painted with love. At just 15 lbs. with her adorable docked tail, she's the perfect petite companion with a quiet presence that grows on you more each day. Zuni came from a rural shelter alongside her two sisters after being surrendered by a breeder. When she arrived, it was clear she had been severely under-socialized, and the world felt like a very big, overwhelming place. But since then, Zuni has been slowly, bravely discovering that people can be kind—and she's made incredible progress. She is still a very shy girl, and new situations can make her nervous. Right now, Zuni is not ready for leash walks, as being in environments where she doesn't feel in control can be frightening for her. She will need a patient, understanding home that's committed to continuing her socialization at her pace, with kindness and consistency leading the way. Despite her shyness, Zuni truly wants connection. She loves being around her people in a calm, familiar environment and finds comfort in routine. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night, adores treats, and absolutely lights up around other dogs—she would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help guide her and show her the world isn't so scary. Zuni may not run up to you right away, but give her time, and you'll see her begin to trust. She'll come closer, lean into gentle ear scratches, and quietly choose you. Those moments feel like tiny victories—and they add up to something really special. Zuni is looking for a home that understands that love doesn't always arrive loudly. Sometimes, it tiptoes in, soft and uncertain...until one day, it's right there beside you. If you have the patience to help a shy girl blossom, Zuni is ready to keep growing—with you . For more photos, visit her album at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/zuni  If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Introducing Millie! This sweet 3-year-old Rat Terrier comes as part of a duo: she's bonded with Jack, and the two must find their new home together. Millie is deeply affectionate with her person and thrives on that special one-on-one bond. She's a bit cautious with unfamiliar faces at first and needs time to build trust, so we're hoping to find her a home without small children where she can adjust comfortably. Millie already has the basics down pat: she's both leash trained and house trained, making her transition into a new home much easier. A small-breed-suitable fenced yard is also a must, giving her a safe space to romp and relax outdoors. Devoted, gentle, and bonded to her best friend Jack, Millie is hoping for a family patient enough to win her heart and give her the forever love she deserves. Millie's estimated birthdate is June 2023 and she weighs about 12 pounds. Her adoption fee is $315 and she is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. To learn more about Jack & Millie, complete an adoption survey at furkids.org and a team member will get in touch with you to schedule an in-person meeting. You must be 21+ to adopt.
