Story
Hello, my name is Linky West! I'm an 8 year old, 15 pound, rat terrier mix. I'm a spunky and sweet girl who is a bit shy and unsure at first, but I warm up eventually, especially if you have treats. I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, healthy, and ready to find my new home!   I had a loving person, but sadly they passed away. I was left alone in an abandoned house with only my fur friends and the occasional visitor to feed me. It's not surprising that I am loving life in my foster home where I have nonstop human companionship and furry friendships. I even started playing with toys and they are so fun!   I live with four other dogs right now. My favorite is the big, shy one (I love him!) and my least favorite is the loud, obnoxious one (I hate him!). I also lived with cats in my last home. My favorite companion is my human though. Once I get to know you, I will ADORE you. Where you go, I go. I will sit on the couch with you and sleep in bed with you.   I am not a fan of collars, harnesses, or leashes - they scare me! I hope to get more comfortable with them after more time and practice, but for now, I need a securely fenced yard in my new home. I can be a bit of an escape artist, so anyone who adopts me will have to be careful to keep me safe and secure. I don't mind going in a crate for meal time, but I don't like going in one for extended periods of time. That's okay because I don't make mischief when left out to roam freely while home alone. One other awesome thing about me is that I'm house trained!   I'm really enjoying life in my foster home, but I can't wait to find my forever home! Would you like to be my new best friend?   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Reintroducing Boo-Boo: Your loyal sidekick! Age: 6 Months | Weight: 23 lbs of pure love Status: Fully vaccinated and ready for adventure! Puppies grow and change so fast, we thought it was time to share some updated information on sweet Boo-Boo. If you’re looking for a medium-sized best friend with a large-sized heart, Boo-Boo is your guy! Now 6-months old and a sturdy 23 lbs., Boo-Boo has officially graduated from the baby phase and is ready to take on the world. While his name might be Boo-Boo, he’s anything but a mistake! He’s a smart, affectionate rat terrier mix who embodies the best of the breed: he’s clever, loyal, and incredibly sweet. Why Boo-Boo is the best: Social butterfly: Boo-Boo is a friend to all! He’s great with other dogs once he’s had been properly introduced. He’d love a canine sibling to wrestle with, but he’s also happy being your one-and-only. Housetraining hero: As long as he has a human who can take him out for frequent "business trips," he holds it well indoors at his foster home most of the time, though he's still learning. Versatile living: Now that his puppy shots are complete, he’s ready to explore! While he’d think a fenced-in yard is a total dream for zoomies, sunbathing, and exploration, he would be ok without one as long as he gets plenty of time. Food motivated=trainable: This puppy (like most puppies) loves treats, so he should be easy to train for tricks and manners. The ultimate shadow: True to his rattie roots, Boo-Boo wants to be where the action is. Whether you’re folding laundry or watching a movie, expect a warm chin on your knee and a wagging tail by your side. Boo-Boo is looking for a family to continue his training and give him all the head scratches he can handle. Is your home the one he’s been waiting for? Story
Reintroducing Yogi: The smart, spunky adventurer! Age: 6 Months | Weight: 25 lbs. of clever curiosity Status: Fully vaccinated and vigilant! Puppies grow and change so fast, we thought it was time to share some updated information on sweet Yogi, a loyal watchman with a heart of gold. If you're looking for a dog who actually takes his "home security" duties seriously, you have to meet Yogi! At 25 lbs., Yogi is a handsome, sturdy boy who might be "smarter than the average bear," but he’s also a lot more observant. Yogi has a big, impressive bark that sounds much tougher than he actually is! He’s not aggressive—he just wants to make sure everything in his world is safe before he lets his guard down. Why Yogi is a special find: The ultimate guard dog (in training): Yogi is naturally alert and will definitely let you know if a stranger—or the mailman—is approaching. If you want a dog who makes you feel safe and looked after, Yogi is your man. Slow and steady wins the race: Yogi is "selectively social." When meeting other dogs, he tends to bark a lot at first. He just needs a little extra time and a patient, slow introduction. Once he realizes a new dog is a friend, he warms up and shows his playful side! A dedicated shadow: Once you are in Yogi’s "inner circle," you are there for life. He is incredibly devoted to his humans and will be your most loyal companion, stuck to your side like glue. House-training progress: Yogi is well on his way to being fully reliable as long as he’s kept on a consistent schedule. Yogi would love to have a big yard to run around and explore, but he can live without one if he gets lots of outdoor time for "business", exercise, and play. Now that he's fully vaccinated, Yogi is ready for a home and family that understands he needs time to assess his surroundings before jumping in. He is looking for a confident owner who can lead the way and show him that the world isn’t so scary. In return, he’ll give you a lifetime of protection, smarts, and deep devotion. More photos of Yogi are available at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/yogi If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Spike is a 10lb fun-loving terrier mix. His owner never showed up to reclaim him from Animal Control.  He was scared and timid at the shelter.  Once he arrived at the foster's home, he opened up with a ton of gratitude and personality.  He immediately became BFFs with Jack Frost.  They ran zoomies and chased each other all day long.  He is not house trained, but working on it.  Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications.
