Story
See those cute puppies on our website right now? Well, Eddie wants you to know that the vintage, preowned models are so much better and that he is one of the finest examples you'll ever meet. First of all, he would argue that if you know anything about the legendary lifespan of the rat terrier, then at his estimated age of 10 or 11, he's not all that old. True, he is preowned, but his former owner died, and he wants so badly to belong to someone again. He's house-trained and well-mannered, except for occasionally swiping your shoes in order to entice you to play with him.    Eddie gets along with other dogs, but he could probably be happy being your one and only if you're home most of the time. While not a fan of hugging and kissing, he loves to be around you. Somehow he'll manage to sneak his 16 lbs. right onto your lap without you noticing! And if he's not in your lap, he'll be right next to you, even at bedtime. He seems to love everybody he meets, including kids as long as they respect his desire not to be hugged or kissed. On the other hand, he thinks cats and other small animals are meant for chasing, so he would not be a good candidate for a home with cats.    Eddie will amaze you with his energy and love of taking walks, especially when you consider that he has IVDD (intervertebral disc disease), for which he takes a daily pain pill (average monthly cost is $10, and during occasional flare-ups, he'll need additional meds and limited activity while he recovers.) He also gets a little over-the-counter Benadryl for itchy skin and eye drops for dry eye. (Drops cost less than $25/month.) But none of these things can stand in the way of his walks! The boy looks forward to and NEEDS his daily walks. He enjoys meeting people and getting a friendly pet, and he has been known to wait at certain spots in the hope that he'll encounter his new friends again! If you're looking for a walking partner and a wonderful companion, you've just found him! His name is Eddie, and he's ready to be yours! See more photos of this dapper fellow at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/eddie .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Hey You, I think you are awesome! True, I haven't even met you yet. But I LOVE everyone I meet. I am Oskar Diego. I am about five years old and weigh forty-five pounds. I only have a few teeth in the back of my mouth - just enough to chew delicious treats   Otherwise I'm strong and healthy! I have a good solid poop, you humans love tht, right?  I am pretty good at walking on a leash. I enjoy spending time on the deck with you, staying inside is cool too, as long as we are together.  Not that I'm not good on my own, I'm a pretty self-sufficient young man, but I like to be near.  If you work from home or are home a lot, I will follow you around and lay close to you. I just want to be close to my people. But if you need to leave for a day, it's ok, I probably will nap all day. I am a good balance of sleep and play throughout the day.   I may take my time getting used to other pets, but I have experience living with other dogs, so I'm sure it's going to be ok. You will need to learn to shower me, because I may be scared of squirting water. And I have a strong personality: if I don't want to do something - you're going to hear about it. So, please, bring treats. They really help to build trust and friendship between us. I am looking for: 1. A home where I can sit on the furniture with you and preferably on you! 2. A family that appreciates all of my kisses and hugs. I give A LOT of them! 3. A family that will be patient as I continue to learn good manners. 4. a family will treat me with respect: don't yell at me (I'm very well behaved, I don't deserve it) and don't pull or jerk me around (my body - my rules), if you want anything from me - show a treat - I'm very smart, we will figure it out  I am very, very loving and looking to share my love with the right family!           An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:  Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.           September 27, 2023, 7:53 pm

Story
PETIE AND RILEY BONDED SENIOR PAIR ~~ Jack Russell Terrier, Neutered Males, White and Brown, 12 pounds, AGE: Riley 14 ~~ Petie 18. Petie and Riley are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They are senior pets and are looking for a quiet, safe and loving place to retire and live out the rest of their days. Their former family moved out of their home and left them outside and alone in the backyard with no one to care for them. A kind neighbor provided food and care for TWO MONTHS, in the hope the family would return to claim them. Although the neighbor reached out to the family several times, they never responded or come back for their fur babies. The neighbor was unable to care for them any longer, we took them in, provided vet care and lots of love. They were heartbroken at first, but have adjusted to life at our clinic. However, they deserve and need a real home and a real family…good and kind people that will love and take care of them. Together. Can you take them in? Riley does not have any teeth and eats wet food. He has some lipomas (fatty growths) on him, which do not hurt and do not seem to bother him in the least. At his age, anesthesia is not advised. He has a negative heartworm and fecal and is up to date on vaccines and vet services. Petie had a recent dental cleaning, has a negative heartworm test and fecal, and is also up to date on vaccines and vet services. Anyone who loves the breed will love these sweet guys! They are friendly, alert and lively, still a little bit nervous, inquisitive, pretty good on the leash and are working at remembering how to be housebroken. In a kennel environment, especially after living outdoors for an extended time period, manners can be forgotten. A little training and they should be good as new again. And, if you have a doggy door, even better! We just ask that they be kept as indoor dogs! If there are other pets in the home, we always suggest a meeting beforehand to ensure a smooth transition and to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how they are with other pets or children. Since they are truly a special case, the adoption fee for both pets is $50. And, anyone who takes in both of these sweet boys will receive 10% off all future vet services, food, medicine, and everything they need for the remainder of their lives (if they are brought back to us at Crabapple Knoll). Do you have space in your heart and home for sweet little Petie and Riley? If so, come and meet them today and change their lives forever! Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Weekdays 630AM to 7PM. Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 4PM. Closed on all major holidays.
