Story
Braison is a great, goofy energetic dog. He is Terrier/Hound mix. I adopted him 6 months ago. From a private owner. I love him, and he loves me. I'm 74 and just can’t give him the attention that he needs to flourish. He always wants to play, is constantly by my side, follows me everywhere almost from day one. He’s very loving and happy to meet people and other animals, but needs to be with a younger family. He would be great with Kids, loves to play with other dogs, was raised with cats. He is fully vaccinated, just got his 3 year Rabies shot. Neutered in good health. I will provide all Vet records, Toys, Bed, Food, Collar, Harness, Leash and treats. He walks great on a leash, obeys some commands, Sit, Stay, Down, Paw, Fetch etc. he is learning to press voice buttons for Treats, Food, Water, Outside, etc... NO Rehoming fee, but thoroughly vetting all applicants. His new home must be a house with a fenced yard, a family with kids or other pets even better. Please reply to meet him.

Story
Hello pet lovers , I have had Kyo for the past 7 years. We got him and his lil brother in a small box in 2018 and me and my sister have decided to keep him since we wanted a dog so bad. However, throughout the years, Kyo would be more anxious without us by his side and cause a scene when we leave the house. Since I just delivered a baby, I don’t have much time to be with Kyo now since I will be focusing on my newborn. Kyo loves to explore, play and be by our side , he also loves to play fetch and tug ! I just want to find a good home for him that would give him more attention and training as we wish we could have done more.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Coraline - Your New Adventure Buddy! Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Mix | Status: Spayed, Microchipped, Vaccinated, Heartworm Negative | Adoption Fee: $550 Have you ever seen anything cuter? Coraline is an absolutely adorable JRT puppy with short little legs, a long thick body, and a personality that will steal your heart! This sweet girl came to us from our partner rescue in Louisiana and is currently thriving in her New Jersey foster home. Personality Coraline is the perfect combination of rough-and-tumble playfulness and cuddly affection. She's a true Jack Russell puppy with tons of energy who loves to play hard and cuddle even harder. Her kisses and lovies are truly the BEST! This little lady is super affectionate and always follows her nose on her next adventure. She'll play independently or romp with another active pup—she's happy either way. What Coraline Needs Coraline is looking for an active family that will: Take her on long walks to tire out that puppy energy Provide a fenced-in yard where she can safely explore and play Commit to ongoing training (we're currently working on no jumping and taking treats gently) Have older, considerate children (not recommended for younger kids due to her rough play style) Good to Know &#226&#156&#133 Kennel trained &#226&#156&#133 Working hard on housebreaking &#226&#156&#133 Dog friendly—would love another playful pup or be fine as an only dog &#226&#156&#133 Ready to go home: spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative If you're ready for an energetic, affectionate companion who will keep you active and shower you with love, Coraline might just be your perfect match! Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! Story
Meet Karlena! Known affectionately as "Sass/Sassy" in her foster parent's house.  Karlena is still recovering from a traumatic past life, but as each day passes, so grows her confidence. This little girl is the definition of brave and strong, but she is still learning more each day that she can trust humans after the ones in her past have let her down time and time again.  Karlena is still getting accustomed to living in a home and learning a normal routine, so most of her trips outside to go to the bathroom aren't successful yet - but she's been a quick learner with pee pads. A yard or private ourdoor space would be amazing for her to get adjusted to learning potty training off of the busy, bustling NYC streets. This little girl is also very food motivated and LOVES slices of cheese and any human food. She is incredibly shy, and still keeps to herself most of the day when her foster parents are home, but she does like to explore and sniff around at night and when she's home alone. She's also been doing amazing recently spending time with another dog in the house and being able to grow her confidence by observing him, so being adopted into a home with another pet would be ideal for her as she continues to come out of her shell.  Karlena will thrive with adoptive parents who are understanding, patient, and willing to meet her where she is and not rush her, and continue to foster a safe, calm and quiet environment for her to decompress, heal, and learn to trust. In time, when she's ready, we have no doubts in the world this sweet, sweet girl will come out of her shell and be the most perfect pup to a very lucky family!  ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea. ##2517627##

Rocky is a lovable and playful dog. I got him when he was 3m old and he was my lil buddy. Because of health reasons I can no longer care for him and would like him to go to a loving home where he would be loved and cared for like he should be. He just needs to be loved and trained a bit more.

Story
Steve -  1 year, 25lbs, BeagleTerrier Mix, Neutered - low rider :)  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Their Foster Parent Says: "Steve loves people and dogs and chasing after squirrels and birds. Every time we pass a person or a dog, he is always wagging his tail and pulling his leash to greet them. As soon as someone gives him affection, he literally slides down and rolls over on his back for belly rubs. He is such a trusting and sweet dog. In the morning, he waits patiently for me in the bathroom while I get ready and will sit or lay down on my bath mat (since I have towels everywhere on the floor to protect my white carpets, he thinks any towel is for him) then we go for a 45 minute walk, come home and he eats his breakfast, depending on how tired he is from his walk, he will typically play on his own for an hour before taking a 4 hour nap. We then go for a potty break, play a little more and then another 45 minute walk in the evening followed by dinner, more play time and a final night potty. He is definitely teething right now and is a little mouthy which is understandable for a pup his age. He loves playing fetch, gnawing on his toys and is very food motivated. As a typical lab, he scarfs down his food in 5 minutes even with a slow feeder. He needs leash training as he pulls very hard during our walks when he sees a bird, squirrel or dog which is often as you can imagine in NYC. He is a little afraid of bikes, buses and leaf blowers and will pull the leash to move away from them and gets down low. However he is pretty tolerable of the city life and will adjust quickly. He’s very comfortable in elevators, with stairs and riding the subway which is impressive coming from South Carolina. The best part about this pup, is he practically came potty trained and crate trained and has had no accidents thus far! The best pup of the 7 I’ve fostered thus far." Level of dog ownership experience needed:BEGINNER: This means we predict this dog will be low on the challenge scale due to its breed/age combo. Potentially a good fit for someone who has relevant dog care experience (fostering, dog sitting) and is looking to adopt their first pup.  Energy level MEDIUM: Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  City pupSeems unfazed by the sights and sounds, may as well have been born here.POTTY TRAININGYes – Few or no accidentsCOMFORT LEVEL WITH STRANGERSSocial butterfly – Wants to be friends with everyone who walks by, loves anyone who will stop to say hello. BEHAVIOR WITH CHILDREN (always requires adult supervision)Maybe for age 12 and up – Is either big and energetic (okay with kids big enough not to get knocked down) or a little skittish (could be comfortable with older children that can be extra gentle) SOCIAL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER DOGSYes – Good with most other dogs (sizes, breeds, etc.) as far as we know and enjoys socializing with other caninesRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER ANIMALS (cats, small pets, etc.Not sure – Wants to chase squirrels and birds so may not be a good match for a home with cats, rabbits, etc. MOUTHY BEHAVIORNeeds training – Is either still in the puppy stage or was never trained. Tries to put their mouth on your hands when playing or needs attention, grabs leash, chews on your personal belongings SEPARATION ANXIETY (Adjusting – Might cry for a few minutes when you first leave the house but settles pretty quickly and has no problem being left alone otherwise. LEASH MANNERSWTF is a leash – Pulls hard. Zig zags like crazy. Has no idea how to walk on a leash or doesn’t have outside privileges yet (too young)CUDDLE BUG LEVELMedium – Likes to snuggle when he's in the mood but often stays in his own bed JUMPING ON PEOPLE TO SAY HELLONeeds training – Very excited to greet everyone and has no idea how to do so politely. Jumps up on most strangers or other dogs that go by. In puppy phase or wasn’t trained as a young adult. CRATE TRAININGYep/mostly – Seems comfortable in the crate, may whine a little at first but settles pretty quickly. We use the crate when we leave the pup alone and/or at night.  Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm tested if coming from the South or Puerto Rico ; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes.
