Name: Mongmong Age: 4 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: JRT (Jack Russell Terrier) Mix Color: Black, tan, and white Weight: 9.5 kg (20.9 lbs) Height (at shoulder): 32 cm (12.6 inches) Mongmong is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves people — whether you’re a familiar friend or someone he’s just met, he’ll happily come over for pets and attention. He’s especially gentle with young children and is comfortable being picked up with arms under his belly. Once he warms up, he’ll even show you his belly! He’s curious about other dogs and will approach them to say hello, though he doesn’t typically engage in play. Gentle with cats, not much interest in them. Mongmong has a moderate energy level and enjoys outdoor activities like walks, but settles down calmly afterward. He’s well-behaved on leash, doesn’t pull, and follows his human companion nicely. He is not food aggressive and remains calm in a kennel or during car rides. Mongmong was found injured, likely from a car accident, and was at risk of euthanasia at a municipal shelter. After being rescued, Mongmong had one eye removed due to phthisis bulbi, a condition that caused his eye to shrink and lose function and had hernia surgery on 25.05.01-but he’s recovered beautifully and is now ready for a fresh start Mongmong is a brave little survivor with a heart full of love. He is a 7-year old, active, sensitive, routine-oriented dog who does best in a quiet home with experienced owners and no other dogs. He would love a small, fenced yard with grass. He struggles with overstimulation and change, some noises (like our dishwasher) make him uncomfortable, but he is deeply bonded to his person and finds comfort in predictability. He sheds heavily (white hair). He is not suitable for a busy household or first-time dog owners. He is never aggressive toward humans or dogs but is not very comfortable around children and he reacts with loud noises when he sees other dogs. He loves to go for walks and play fetch. He seems to have a behavioral disorder similar to the human autism. He is house trained but will only go potty outside (he would never use a potty pad). We love him but he is not adapting well to life in a small apartment in a big city.
