George is a precious boy who is looking for a special home with patient humans as he is slowly learning that the world isn't all scary. He is easily startled by unexpected noises and movements and would do best in a quiet, calm, and secure home. George is learning that he is safe and loved and has given lots of tail wags, some play bows, and occasional kisses! He has a gorgeous coat and the cutest little ears. He likes being next to his foster mom on the couch and is starting to play with toys. He's a great work-from-home companion as he is quiet, has been well-behaved, and hasn't needed lots of attention. He did well sleeping in a crate for the first few nights, but now happily sleeps in bed with his foster mom. He gets along fine with the other dogs in the home, including the senior chihuahua. Meet little Bobby! 🐕 He and his two brothers are waiting to be adopted. They are 14 weeks old and weigh about 11 lbs. they will be under 20 lbs. full grown. Their Dad is a purebred Irish Black & Tan Jack Russell (8 lbs) and the Mom is 1/2 Jack Russell 1/2 Corgi. She weighs about 15 lbs. Both parents are my personal dogs. They have been raised in my home on my horse farm with my other dogs. They have been very well socialized and are super friendly and loving. I am being very particular as to who they are Re-homed to. I am looking for a home with at least one other dog (unless of course you would like to take 2😌) and a fenced yard as this breed requires lots of play time and an area to run. They would not do well crated all day. If you have experience with Jack Russells that would be a bonus as they are a special breed with lots of personality! There will be a very reasonable re-homing fee just to cover their shots and wormings.🐕❤️

Meet Maru: Maru is about a 10 year old (as of July 2026) Jack Russell Terrier mix (best guess) that weighs about 16 pounds. Maru was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Tennessee. One of our regular rescuers witnessed poor Maru being dropped off while they were picking up another dog. His owners said they didn’t have time for him anymore; they removed his harness and leash and took his blanket and toy out of his crate and took him inside in the empty crate. The little buddy was scared and confused, but luckily we were able to find an open spot and went to pick him up the next day. Maru is now being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Maru was shy at first but warmed up after a day. Maru has been good with other dogs, but seems to be overwhelmed by the multiple dogs in his foster home. We believe he would prefer a home with one other dog or he would also seem happy on his own. Maru is a big snuggler and loves nothing better than to lay in his person’s lap! Maru is good with people, but we think small children may scare him - he would love a calmer more laid back environment. Maru is crate trained, but loves his doggy bed to snuggle in. When Maru sees his harness he gets very excited to be able to go on a walk - he loves his walks and is great on the leash. Maru loves to be outside and we would love for him to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to sniff and sunbathe the day away. Maru is house trained.
