Danielle aka Coco is a sweet, comical little girl.She loves being petted and is quick to offer her belly for tummy rubs. She enjoys tearing around the backyard, at breakneck speed but stops after a couple of laps. She loves playing with her foster buddy, Marvin (aka Vinnie), but she can sometimes challenge other small dogs. She will also initially challenge larger dogs, but stops after being put in her place a time or two with a bark from the larger dog. Coco was returned for nipping at a baby but she was okay with toddlers in her foster home when she returned to our program. Because of her history, I would not recommend placing her with babies or children under the age of 6 or so. A trial period with any other dogs in the home would be recommended. She could also be an only dog and be perfectly happy. She loves people. ****Prior to filling out an application or contacting RHS, please completely read the instructions below.**** ALL ADOPTERS/FOSTERS MUST LIVE WITHIN 60 MILES OF RICHARDSON, TX. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Meet Cleo, a very affectionate little girl who is looking for a loving home. Cleo is 20 pounds and 2 years old. Dex is a 10 year old terrier mix that came from a hoarding situation.  He arrived very scared, but with love and affection is coming out of his shell.  Very sweet, but very timid. We think he received minimal or no human contact. This little guy will need a quiet home with someone who will be very patient with him while he continues to learn a life of love from human(s). He will take some time to trust you. He is food motivated and a fast learner. He needs more leash training. We are working on potty training. He loves to play with other dogs and is very submissive. Little Foster was running with two others and had been for a long time.  He was paralyzed with fear when we first got him.  He is now doing well witih his Foster Mom, and so very sweet.  He weighs about 13   lbs and about 5 years old.  He loves other dogs so he needs one at least to make him feel comfy!  He has changed so much since he came to us shaking and cowering.  He is a sweet boy!  He is heartworm positive but we are treating him. ##1911379##

Frosty loves going to events and will be your restaurant patio pal.   He loves going for walks and just hanging out. He has a medium energy level and likes to cuddle and can even play scrabble (okay, maybe he's not the best speller!) You get the idea though. Frosty is a doll and deserves only the best home!
