Story
Hi my name is Jack! I love people, petting, and all the attention I can get. Car rides, hiking, going for walks, and guarding the yard are some of the things I like to do. I really like stuffed animals, but don’t usually chew them up, just carry them around. I get along with most dogs, but if challenged I will defend myself. I was starved before my foster family took me in, so I guard my food and bones from other dogs. I’m happy to share with my humans though. I love people so much! Currently I live with several dogs from 4-80 pounds and play nicely with all of them. My foster mom would be happy to bring me over to meet your dogs and see if we could be friends. When can we go for a ride?!

Story
If you are looking for a big dog that hates to leave the house....ie no walks needed. Who is gentle, quiet and housetrained....and could easily be an only dog look no further....Chuck is your guy! He loves to be at home with his people and is fine being an only dog! He loves to walk around a yard and rest in the sun! He is fine at home and not destructive! He just would love a quiet household where he can watch TV, lay by his people and have a few snacks! Low energy is his favorite mode. He will jump around to great you in the am and when you come home but otherwise he is a quiet and sweet guy.  Chuck would prefer to never go for a walk! His home is his castle and as a guy who was without a home for 5 long years his goal is to never leave his home:) He loves soft dog beds, cheese, quiet people and being at home!  Chuck does need a home with a securely fenced yard.  If you have questions about Chuck his foster would be happy to talk with you:) Mary 602 568 5219 please feel free to call after 5 or on the weekends or texting is great too! Chuck has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Chuck could be the right fit for you, please complete an  application found on our website:     Application *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool   used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up. September 18, 2024, 8:38 pm

Story
Hi I’m Nala, I am so happy to meet you. I do love my people and I get excited when I first meet new people because I am still a puppy of sorts. I believe I am about a year old.  I am a fan of belly scratches and I’m learning to sit, and walk nicely on a leash!  I really don’t bark often, only at meeting new people and a little with unknown doggie pals until introductions are done. After I meet a dog.....best friends for life! I love sleeping with my head on my doggy friends:) I don’t like the hose, I don’t know what it is. I know, its kinda weird since I have Lab in my genes. I think it’s the sound. I know I can be trained to be the best house pet and family member. I like being near my people, and I will be loyal in my new home. If my people are around I am ok with meeting new other humans. I will need a few minutes to know we are both safe. (treats help ) and then I am good to go. I think I am pretty and I’m easy to brush. I don’t mind my ears or teeth being looked at. I am still learning my manners, but I can be a lover girl. Nala is a big dog and she does need an owner who has experience with retrievers, shepherds or other large breeds. Nala's adopters must be 100% committed to training and loving her for the rest of her years. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $350 helps offset medical fees. If you live in the Phoenix metro area, and think Nala could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application *   at:   https://www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ .    *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. Different policies and fees may apply. **Meet Carmella!** Carmella is a sweet 4-5-year-old pup who’s been through a lot, losing her home and now waiting patiently for a forever family to call her own. She’s a gem on a leash, rides well in the car, and takes her treats with the utmost gentleness. Carmella is a smart girl who knows her basic commands and is eager to please. She’s best suited for a home without small dogs, cats, or children, as she can be a bit bossy with other dogs and feels nervous around new people. For her comfort, it’s ideal to give her some space, like a crate or another room, when visitors come by. Carmella is looking for a calm, relaxed environment where she can unwind and enjoy life with her special person.  She would do best in a secure yard where she can explore safely, under supervision, to ensure she doesn’t find a way out. Before heading home, Carmella would love to meet any resident humans and dogs to make sure it’s a perfect fit. If you’re searching for a loyal companion to share peaceful days with, Carmella is ready to fill that role in your heart and home. If you are interested in meeting sweet Carmella, please fill out the form below.  Adopt: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FPP/Dog   Foster: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/FPP/Dog   Text 602-695-6232 Located in Phoenix, AZSeptember 13, 2024, 7:41 pm
