Story
This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.   6-7 months old, 20 lbs.   From Puerto Rico to the Jersey Shore! The Sato Project reached out for help, and of course we couldn’t say no. Meet three very special siblings, Bailey (boy), Lily, and Lexi (girls),  who just made the big trip in search of a brighter future.  At about 6 months old and 20–25 lbs, these cuties will likely grow to a perfect medium size (around 30-35 lbs full grown). As for their breed mix...well, that’s part of the fun! They’ve got the look of labs, shorter legs like bassets, and faces that resemble greyhounds or whippets. Whatever the combo, the result is 100% adorable.  We are looking for active homes with secure yards for these pups, along with families ready to commit to training and obedience. With the right guidance, they’ll grow into outstanding canine citizens.  Sweet, lovable, and ready to be someone’s best friend,  these pups are eager to start their new lives here in NJ. Could that be with you?*Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.October 16, 2025, 3:37 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Percy- the definition of a "good boy" At  1 year old and 57 pounds of golden lab love, Percy is everything you could hope for in a furry best friend. He's the total package: friendly, gentle, and just perfect. This handsome boy arrived on our 1/10 transport and he's doing very well in his foster home. Percy is the kind of dog that just fits - the one who greets you with a wagging tail and lots of love! He loves people, adores other dogs and kids and is fine with cats. This affectionate boy will follow you from room to room and he loves to give you kisses and hugs when he hasn't seen you in a while. Some of his favorite things include playing with toys, chews and his foster brother. He enjoys lying by the glass door and watching the birds, squirrels, and cars outside. Percy still has some puppy energy and would benefit from regular exercise and mental enrichment. He's very food motivated and a fast learner. Percy is smart, trainable, and picks up commands quickly! This good boy comes when called, knows sit and down, and he's working on other commands. Percy is still working on his leash walking skills - he loves to walk but pulls a bit. His foster has had a lot of success using a harness with a front clip. Percy is fixed, up to date on vaccines. Percy tested positive for heartworm and has begun treatment. We are looking for a foster to complete his treatment here in NJ with 2 visits to Barnegat Animal Clinic. His adoption fee will be $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training  prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.  CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Izzy!  This girl is ready to head to NJ, she just needs an adopter or foster to make the trip Izzy is as sweet as they come. She loves spending time with the people around her, but she’s also wonderfully independent — happy to quietly relax nearby or entertain herself with a toy. She’s great with cats, dogs, and she especially enjoys snuggling up with canine friends for a cozy nap.   She recently resided in a foster home and her foster mom describes her as one of the easiest dogs to have in the house. She’s fully potty trained, doesn’t need to be kenneled, and will spend the day happily snoozing on the bed or playing with her toys until you return. She’s gentle with her toys, often napping with them for comfort, but she’ll also happily play a round of fetch when you’re up for it.   Listening is where Izzy truly shines. She’s eager to please and already knows several cues including sit, stay, paw, leave it, heel, and takes treats gently. She loves to be outdoors, but only if you are by her side. She loves enrichment games, frozen treats, and lick mats — all things that keep her sharp and content. She rides beautifully in the car and is a great companion for public outings.   If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who’s as easygoing as she is affectionate, Izzy might just be the perfect fit to join your pack. Izzy is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.  Her adoption fee will be $450.
