Story
Hi!  My name is Duane I am looking for a forever home.  Me and some of my friends were rescued from a pretty bad situation where we lived outside all of the time in a small pen and we were all pretty emaciated and missing most of our hair.  Our initial foster home spent a lot of time doctoring us and giving us lots of good food so now we look really good.  She then reached out to BCAA to see if they could help us all find good homes and they said yes ... yeah!  I appear to be a doodle mix, just not sure mixed with what.  I am guesstimated to be about 5 years old but I act more like a 1-2 year old as I'm a happy boy and am now loving life; I weigh a little under 55lbs and could probably gain another couple of pounds.  I have a beautiful, silky black coat which has grown back beautifully.  Even with my past, I love people and getting attention.  When I'm with the other dogs, I just love to run and play and I am a little on the goofy side.  I will need to find a home without cats, though, as my foster mom says I'm showing too much interest in them.  While I will settle down in a crate, I really would prefer to be out.  My foster parents are working on my housebreaking skills and I'm doing better as long as I get out on a regular basis.  I'm starting to get the leash thing down as I have figured out it means I can be out with you and going on an adventure but some additional training wouldn't hurt.  And talking about training, I really, really love my food and treats which you can use to help me learn new stuff.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org. Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Dusty is an adorable Lab mix boy with a mostly black coat and sweet white markings that make him extra handsome. He is about 4 months old and weighs approximately 25 pounds. Dusty is a sweet, cuddly puppy who is coming out of his shell and learning so much in his foster home.He is happy-go-lucky and friendly with everyone he meets. Dusty is wonderful with kids and absolutely loves cuddling on the couch with them. He also loves other dogs — whether it’s playing, romping around, or snuggling up for a nap, he enjoys it all.Dusty is playful, loving, and doing great with his house and crate training. He is truly a great puppy who is sure to grow into an amazing adult dog. It’s with care and thought that I’m looking to rehome Deuce, a 3-year-old Pit Bull–Labrador mix. This is not an easy decision, and my priority is finding him a safe, stable, and loving home. About Deuce: • Neutered male • AKC/UKC registered (papers available) • Trained and well-mannered • Healthy with vet records and vaccine history • Loyal, smart, and very people-oriented Deuce would do best with an owner who understands dogs and can give him consistent structure, attention, and exercise.
