Story
Hi!  My name is Jesse and me and my brother Joey are both looking for forever homes.  We were taken to a really scary place called an animal shelter 'cause our owners had too many dogs and we were the ones given up.  We ended up on something bad called "the list" but then BCAA heard about our situation and said they would help us ... yeah!  We were really shy when we first came into foster but our foster parents are really nice and I came out of my shell first and love getting attention; I will come running when you call for me and take all of the loving you want to give, and then when you need to do something else I go off and start exploring again.  Our foster mom says if you're looking for a running or hiking partner, you can't go wrong with either of us as we're at a good age where we can safely go for long runs.  The best guess of our mix is yellow lab but our foster mom says whatever we are mixed with, we're both super handsome!  I am the smaller of us at just under 50lbs and Joey weighs almost 55lbs; at about 18 months old we shouldn't get any bigger.  We have gotten along with the other dogs we have met both big and small.  I haven't paid any attention to those things called cats but my brother is fascinated by them.  I am not crazy about my crate 'cause I would really rather just be out chilling with you but will go in for treats and food time.  I am pretty good on leash especially once I realize you are one of the good guys!  If you would like to meet me or Joey, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Hi!  My name is Shannon and I am looking for a forever home.  I was surrendered to a shelter by my previous owners and as an owner surrender, I was at the top of something bad called "the list".  Fortunately, BCAA heard about me and said they would help me  ... yeah!  I am a typical, happy lab mix who is between 12-18mos old who just loves life.  I'm a little over 50lbs and as an adult dog, shouldn't get any bigger.  I love getting attention and when initially meeting new folks I am a little excited but I promise, I will settle down and enjoy getting lots of loving; however, because of my exuberance, I would probably do better with older kids as I might unintentionally knock over smaller ones.  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and haven't paid any attention to those things called cats.  While I would much prefer to be out with you, I have done really well in my crate overnight without any accidents or tearing up of my bedding (I will let you know not to forget about me if I see or hear you).  I love going for walks and other than initially pulling when we first go out, I do pretty good on a leash.  I love my food and treats which I take gently and will be great for any future training you might want to do together.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Hi!  My name is Deagan and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up as a stray and taken to a really scary place called a shelter where, after my hold time was up, I was put on something really scary called "the list".  Fortunately, BCAA heard about me right before something bad was going to happen to me and said they would help me  ... yeah!  I don't appear to have had an easy life as I do have some calluses on my legs where I was probably kept on concrete a lot, but that hasn't dampened my wanting to be loved and belong to a family.  I am a smaller chocolate lab mix at 41lbs although my foster mom has been giving me lots of extra food and treats 'cause she says I needed to gain a couple of pounds when I first came into foster.  At around 4years old I am past all of that puppy foolishness.  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met but have shown a little too much interest in the cats so it would probably be better for me to have a home without them.   While I would much prefer to be out with you, I have done really well in my crate overnight without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding.  I love going for walks and I do pretty good on a leash as it means I get to be with you.  I love my food and treats which I take gently.   If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Meet the “M” puppies! They are a litter of 9 lab mixes… possibly with Aussie based on some of their coloring and longer coats. Their mom is a smaller lab mix who weighs about 40 pounds. They are 8 weeks old now and will be ready for adoption Saturday the 27th at 9 weeks old. They're DOB is 2/20/24. We are guessing they will be around 40 pounds full grown. They are typical puppies who will need continued training and lots of love! They are playful, happy, and love people. They will make great additions to a loving family. If you would like to meet one of them, apply at bcaafnj.org Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
