Story
🩶Meet Rosemary, a “Sato dog” from Puerto Rico! A “Sato dog” refers to the small to medium-sized stray dogs in Puerto Rico. Island dogs are smart, loving, highly trainable, and make devoted companions. There is no love like the love of an island dog.
📝 (4/23/24: Six week update):🥺We are still searching for a forever home for Rosemary. All of her siblings found homes, but her. Rosemary and her 4 siblings were found in Humaco, Puerto Rico. They were rescued on 2/22 from an asphalt factory with their mom- a 55lb black Lab mix. Rosemary is sweet, smart, curious, and loves to play fetch. She enjoys walks and is leash trained! Rosemary is on a routine schedule, doing great with crate and potty training, and sleeps through the night. She adores her foster doggie friend, met other doggies, other humans, and does great with younger kids. She has taken a few trips with her foster family and is a pro in the car. She knows commands such as: “Sit, off, wait, and is working on “heel.” She is VERY food motivated and will be a breeze with continued training. Rosemary was briefly introduced to cats back on the island and did not seem bothered by them. She has a great personality, will be a wonderful adventure buddy, and is all around a GREAT pup!
