Benny is 80lbs of pure best friend! We pulled Benny from an overcrowded municipal shelter because he really stood out in the crowd. Benny loves people and always brings the fun. He is non-quarrelsome with other dogs and takes correction well when/if he forgets his manners. He would make an excellent family pet and would love an active family or owner that would take him on adventures. The best thing about Benny is that he also settles really well and is highly trainable. If you are looking to add some joy to your life, Benny is your guy! This dog is being cared for by: National Greyhound Adoption Program 10901 Dutton Road Philadelphia, PA 19154 PA Kennel License #3069. Our adoption areas include PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, MD, DC and NoVA.

Story
Vera is a 4 year old lab/terrier/collie mix rescue that is looking for a new home. She is sweet with adults. She can be defensive with her owners around other dogs. She plays well with other dogs in groups. She attends dog house of Delco weekly and always receives positive reports. I would consider her a reactive dog. Not aggressive but can get defensive when other dogs approach while she is leashed with her owners around. Off the leash and in groups of dogs she plays very well. We have a 18 month old toddler at home that she is jealous of and seems to be defensive of the mother.. She loves to run around outside on and off of the leash. She responds very well to commands. She loves to snuggle with her owners. She really is a loving dog but we are looking to re-home due to our toddler growing up.

Story
Georgia is a truly special girl, an absolute peach! Georgia was initially nervous around new people and environments, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate personality shines through. Her favorite place in the world is stretched out across the bed, soaking up pets and smooches from anyone lucky enough to share her company. Georgia also enjoys leisurely walks throughout the day. She isn’t in any rush — preferring to take her time, nose to the ground, sniffing every interesting scent she finds. Because she moves at such a relaxed pace, she’s a dream on the leash and never pulls. This lovely lady has also shown great manners when it comes to house training. At the shelter, she consistently waited to go outside, and she’s kept up that good habit ever since — no accidents in the house, just a well-behaved girl who’s grateful for a routine. Georgia has so much love left to give and is ready to find a calm, caring home where she can spend her days being adored. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will fill your home with warmth and quiet joy, Georgia may be the perfect match.

Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags RescueSouthampton Pa 18966 8/25/25 If only surrenders were funny... Kelce was adopted in 2018 not long after the Eagles won the SuperBowl (Go Birds!), and as you guessed it by now, yes Jason (never his brother) was my fav on that magical team. Fast forward five years and she was surrendered because the home got a little too chaotic (babies). Kelce has been with her foster family consisting of 6 humans (all big kids), 2 dogs (though she prefers the dumb boy dog) and a number of critters, think guinea pig. Kelce took a bit to transition but gradually fell in love with the big male human and is now his shadow. Kelce is looking for a new shadow, one that will give her belly rubs, chase her when she has a tennis ball, and shine a laser pointer for her to go nuts! Do you have the time for endless leans and belly rubs? If so, Kelce is your girl. 8/17/24 Kelce has been living the dream since October 2023. Since then, we have discovered Kelce loves every person she meets (not so much every dog, or kiddos under 10); you can't escape the lean - she'll lean in, or sit on you, so you can't stop petting or scratching her belly; she is strong on the leash simply because she can't wait to get to the next block; and LOVES car rides, and a good game of keep away, but she's doing the keep away! 10/20/23 Kelce, a Wags alumna from 2017, was sadly returned to us when her human family started to grow. As a young pup, Kelce was adopted by a couple that did not have children at the time. As Kelce's family began to grow, they say she became anxious and nervous around the babies. So, they made the difficult decision to return Kelce so she could find the perfect family that fits her quirkiness. Happy to report, after a few days with her fosters, and no longer searching for her humans, Kelce started warming up to and playing with resident dogs. Kelce is a lab mix; up to date with her vaccines; weighs 75# (though we are working on losing a few with long walks); walks well on the leash (though is dying to catch a squirrel!); spayed; and starves for attention. This big girl would be best suited in a family with older children or no children. Do you have room on your couch for Kelce to curl up next to you at the end of the day? 9/12/23 Kelce is a 5 year old lab mix who was living the life until after 5 years her people brought one of those tiny things home that smells like baby powder and cries a lot at night. I just would prefer a home with out such creatures. I am well behaved and a terrific dog. Please visit our website www.wagsrescue.org to learn more about this amazing dog and Wags Rescue.
