Story
Hey, I'm Hugh and I'm HUGELY popular around here because I get along with all big people! I do prefer to be an only child!  I pack my HUGE personality into a medium size package of doggone cuteness. My list of needs is NOT huge at all though - just a family that loves hugs and kisses. A fenced in yard would be great or you could take me jogging with you or we can binge watch Netflix. I'm HUGELY flexible. See the theme yet? OH - and you can do one more thing. It goes likes this: throw ball. take wet ball from my mouth, throw ball, take wet ball from my mouth, admire my adorableness as I run after ball.  The other thing you can do is ask about meeting me because I think you will have a HUGE desire to adopt ME!  I'm not a fan of the crate but I'm comfy in the laundry room and I am a good boy when left alone free - I do not chew or mark. I'm a very well behaved boy! ##1354369##

Story
Everyone Meet Willis aka Willie Nelson 🤙🏼 Willis (or Willie) About Mr. Willis: He came into the shelter as a stray in March and has been treated for some type of dermatitis and an upper respiratory infection (he has been on antibiotics for both.) Shelter staff estimates he is approximately 5 years old with a birth date of 04/04/2019! He needs LOTS OF LOVE as he is malnourished and his skin is still healing. He does not appear to be reactive in anyway to people or dogs! Willis did great at the groomers getting a probiotic bath for his skin and the groomers fell in love with his sweet self! Willis is not neutered at this time but does have an appointment for May 17th! Willis is guessed to be a Labrador retriever mix and is weighing in about 52 pounds! He is underweight and will need to get back to a healthy weight! Willis has an exam at the vet Friday April 26th for a full exam and any further medication needed! Willis loves to go outside for a walk, he loves peanut butter and elk antlers and loves to have his human by his side! Willis is learning what toys are and how to use them but will come with all of his new things his foster momma has gotten sweet boy!Madison Budney

Story
Benton is such a good boy! Benton is a very easygoing and sweet older pup with a happy, sunny personality. He's not afraid to share his opinions with you (he likes to "talk). Even with only being in his foster home a short while, he's doing great with potty-training and is letting his foster family know when he needs to go out. Leash walking is still new to him so he needs some more practice to be confident on walks. He's doing pretty well with crate training-he keeps his crate clean at night but it does take him a bit to settle down at night when he first goes in. Benton LOVES toys...ALL the toys. He can keep himself entertained with an abundance of toys (or even better-you could play with him!), but he's still a puppy and learning what things in the house are toys for him and what things are not his. Benton is great with other dogs, he's playful but also submissive. This amazing pup is just ready to join the perfect family to help him continue to be the best boy he is in his heart!

Story
Well, hello! Was it my paw-sitively handsome good looks that made you click? Or maybe my playful grin?? Regardless, I'm glad you're here! So, here's the thing: I'm amazing (my foster family's words, not mine!) I'm a low-to-medium energy pup with a PhD in "House Manners 101" and a silly personality that is difficult to capture in photos. Not only am I crate- and house-trained, I also know my basic doggy do's and don'ts and take treats gently. That said, I need to be your one and only furbaby, but since I'm the total package, why would you need anyone else??!I'm looking for a loving, calm home (no small humans, please; they make me nervous) with a fenced-in yard and lots of soft spots for napping. I'm still working on my leash skills, but if you're dog savvy and patient, I know we'll get there together! If you think we might be a match, please contact my foster family at wcacdogfoster@gmail.com! You can also watch me on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6Y2XbZjT2d7ZjRsMyZTDN4ZKZYK2Ab9PJasper Likes: Being with my people; napping on soft, cushy surfaces; sentry duty in the yard; car rides; walks; butt scritches; and chest scratches.Jasper Dislikes: other dogs I see on walks; delivery trucks (UPS, FedEx, etc.); bathsFun Facts About Jasper: When I'm really happy and excited to see you, my whole body wags. After I poop in the yard, I celebrate with a zoomie! And, if you slowly, gently scratch my chest, I'll relax so much I might fall asleep.Jasper is up-to-date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and neutered. He needs to be an "only pet" and would do best in a home without small children. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Story
Meet Bond, the dog who might just be a pig trapped inside a canine's body! With his unmistakably snorty demeanor, Bond is a unique character that's sure to add a lot of joy and laughter to your life. Outside, Bond transforms into a sniffy and curious explorer, driven by an insatiable curiosity. However, be prepared for his strong opinions on where he wants to go-he's not afraid to take charge and might just drag you along for the adventure. His leash manners showcase his strength, so a sturdy grip is advised. Bond is a true potty-trained pro, making him a low-maintenance addition to any home. Volunteers have stated that it's essential to note his extremely strong prey drive. During a recent playgroup session, this guy was a bit of a surprise, he came in and his entire face became a huge SMILE, he was super happy and playful with his female playmate, was appropriate, loved to play bow and sideswipe. Even though he is no longer a puppy, he's got moves and is pretty high energy for his age. If you're ready for a strong-willed, snorty companion with a love for exploration, Bond is the one. Come meet him at the shelter and embark on a unique adventure with this charismatic dog-pig hybrid! If you're interested in learning more about Bond, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Bond 246268."Bond is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. Story
Meet Desiree, a dynamic two-year-old lab-staffie mix, radiating energy and a heart ready to learn. Though she may appear a tad shy, Desiree is a willing and enthusiastic student when it comes to just about everything. She quickly mastered table manners, potty training, leash walking and a few tricks. She is eager to learn and to please you. She is very affectionate.Desiree is friendly and interested in saying hello to all dogs and people she meets on walks. She plays well with other dogs, is not aggressive, but is best paired with dogs her size as she can play rough as well as gently. Desiree plays daily with her foster brother who is a three-legged Rotty mix. They love to play tug-of-war and keep away. They share all their toys and treats freely. She enjoys unpacking little baby squeak toys from a playtime log or hunting for treats in puzzle toys. As you work on refining her trick repertoire, you'll discover a loyal and devoted companion who thrives on the joy of learning and receiving attention. You will both enjoy a rewarding journey and bonding.Desiree's vibrant personality means she comes with a good amount of energy, so be prepared to keep her engaged. She is not hyper but does need regular exercise and engagement. She is very strong and runs very fast. She tries not to jump up but is so excited to engage with you that she sometimes forgets. She loves camping and hiking and shows a remarkable ability to remember trails and her way around the neighborhood. She has earned our off-leash trust so that she can play fetch and run freely around in the yard. She listens well and responds when called. If you're ready for an energetic and trainable partner who will adore you and appreciate you, Desiree could be the perfect match for your loving home.Desiree is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and has been spayed. If you have children in your home, we always recommend supervision between animals and children. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 51 Age: 2yrs 3mths 1wks
