Story
Hi, I'm Mando! I am a high energy pup looking for my furever home. I am still quite young and very playful, and I also need some help with training. I am very food motivated and eager to please so it shouldn't be too much trouble. I have retained some puppy mannerisms like mouthiness, and I am quite excitable, so I do ask that any kids in the home are 3 and older. I may do well with another dog and/or cat with proper introduction as well. I am super outgoing and friendly, so I would be a wonderful adventure companion. I hope you'll consider adopting a good boy like me! ---Our facility is open daily from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, meet and greet appointments are highly recommended. If you are interested in meeting an animal please contact us via email at Lancaster@pspca.org to learn more about our adoption process and to set a meet and greet appointment.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Leeda is a sweet sweet soul.  She absolutely LOVES the outside!!!  She is content to wander around the fields all day long!  She would be perfect for someone who has a large fenced yard where she can roam to her hearts content.  She loves people!RequirementsLarge Fenced YardVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!September 23, 2023, 12:03 am

Story
Everyone, meet Milo! Milo is a 11-month-old black lab, male, who found his way to us after a life-threatening sickness a few weeks back. You may remember the beginning of his story, where he was surrendered by his loving owners after he fell ill, and they could not afford to get him the care he needed. After spending 5 long days in the ER Milo was released into the care of his foster family and has been thriving since. Hi friends, I'm Milo! When I first came to my foster home I was at my worst. I wasn't eating really well, and I didn't really want anything to do with the other dogs in the home. Now that I am all better, I am just the happiest little wiggle butt! I love all my humans, both adults and kids and I am getting along nicely with the other 5 pups I am sharing my space with. I love spending time in the backyard. I love to play fetch. I could stay out there all day if you let me. Due to my love for running and a high prey drive, a fenced in yard is required for me. Did I mention I like toys... squeakers, bones, all kinds of toys! I do walk nicely on a leash but could use more practice. I don't mind sleeping in my crate most times but, I would prefer to be by your side. Oh and guess what I mastered this thing called potty training (regression is normal in a new environment). Milo is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. If you feel like Milo is the missing piece to your family, please visit our website at http://www.zoeshouserescue.com and apply. He would love to meet you!

Not good with kids, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Adopted him at 2 months old from Diane’s pet center. He is now almost 9 months old. He’s a lovable, active puppy. Is in need of a welcoming home that doesn’t have children (at least not young children) and would need to see how he would be around other pets. He loves to run and play, loves giving kisses. He is in need of someone that has the time to give just to him. He is a guarded dog and that is why he would be better off not around young children or another pet that would go to his food, toys, etc. He has professional obedience training by Peacock bridge kennel, he is neutered and completely up to date on shots.

Story
Brewer was purchased from a breeder in October of 2021 as a puppy. He is extremely active, friendly and lovable. Loves to go on camping trips, lots of space to run, take long walks and play fetch! Unfortunately the owner has two other dogs and a newborn that do not allow them to give the adequate attention that he so deserves. He is house trained (with occasionally accidents) but it is recommended that he maintains a consistent diet as he can be sensitive to change. Brewer gets along well with other dogs and children but has not been around cats. The owners are truly hoping to find a loving and active family for Brewer to find a forever home with.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.9/16/23 Magnus and Smokey have been listed for 209 days with no interest. I’m making it my goal to find them homes before 2023 ends! That means they need shares, lots of shares!!! Winter is coming and these 2 live outside!! Their foster mom loves them so much but they deserve homes of their own! They do NOT need to be adopted together. These boys are so friendly, happy, and loving! Their 3 brothers have been adopted and all of them are doing so well in their adoptive homes. They are about a year old (estimated DOB July 2022) and we believe they are Silver Lab mix. They are NOT high energy like some year old Labs are! They are very playful, sweet, and lovable. Good with other dogs. Cats….probably not. They haven’t been around kids and would probably not be the best match for small kids. They would never hurt a child on purpose, but they are bigger boys and would easily knock over little ones. Unfortunately, they currently live in an outdoor large fenced area, because that’s the only space available for them. Even though they live outside, their foster mom spends A LOT of time with them. Their brothers have all adjusted very well to living in homes and these boys will too! Lets get these boys into nice warm homes with a comfy couches to lay on! Also available for foster!! Neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $125-$140 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
