Meet Miz Bizkit: Miz Bizkit is about a 2 year old (as of June 2024) lab mix that weighs 57 pounds. Miz Bizkit was a neighborhood stray in the city who found a random house to have a litter of puppies under. Miz Bizkit and her pups were wondering around looking for food when animal control was called to get them to safety back in 2023. The puppies (food litter) were all adopted out and Miz Bizkit stayed with a souther foster for heart worm treatment and socialization. Miz Bizkit has completed her treatment and is now ready for her forever home. She is looking to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania nto meet more prospective families. Miz Bizkit is a sweetheart and loves every adult she meets! She’s mostly independent and not much of a cuddler, but she loves back scratches! Miz Bizkit prefers a calmer environment. Miz Bizkit absolutely loves to play ball - she will play keep away though so having 2 balls to switch out makes for a more fun way to play. Miz Bizkit is very food and treat motivated; she knows sit, shake, and listens well. Miz Bizkit has worked with a trainer for a few weeks and they have assessed that she does well and is happiest when she is familiar with the people and dogs she is around. She can do well with savvy older kids or teens. With other dogs she does well with slow, thoughtful introductions and in a calm setting; she is an alpha dog and will show her dominance. She would do best as an only dog. She is sweet with adults and not overly reactive with strangers. Miz Bizkit is a great girl for the right fit. Miz Bizkit is housetrained - she hasn’t had any accidents in the house while on a routine break schedule. Miz Bizkit is leash trained and crate trained and she rides well in a vehicle! Miz Bizkit will need a physically fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Miz Bizkit is up to date on her shots and spayed. Meet Loretta: Loretta is about a 3 year old (as of July 2026) lab mix that weighs about 35 pounds. Loretta was found with her sister, Patsy, near a dump site on a country road in the south. A nice man found them and brought them to us and we were able to get them into the rescue. Loretta is currently being fostered in the Lancaster, PA area and would love to meet her forever family. Loretta is as sweet as can be! This cutie is a petite gal that is very loving and friendly. Loretta's charm shines when you meet her. Loretta loves to play with other dogs and is very submissive. Loretta is medium energy and will romp and run around but then settles to chill inside. We think Loretta's ideal home would have a companion dog to play with and a fenced in yard. Loretta loves children and is very gentle. She was a little wary of the cat she met, but didn't bother with it and was seemingly indifferent to the cat. Loretta loves water - she would happily accompany you on a trip to a lake or hike along a creek! Loretta is working on her house training and has done great with routine breaks outside. She is crate-trained. Loretta needs a little help with leash training, as she pulls when she is walking. Loretta is up to date on her shots and spayed. Meet Phoenix: Phoenix is about a 7 month old (as of July 2026) lab mix (best guess) that weighs 46 pounds. Phoenix was found in a high kill shelter along with her 2 brothers. Sadly, this trio contracted parvo and Phoenix was the only one who was able to pull through! We were heartbroken for her brothers but have promised this little survivor that we will find her a wonderful forever home to live out her happy, lucky, labby life! Phoenix is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Phoenix is a very sweet girl! Phoenix gets along great with other dogs. She is playful and loves romping around on her own or with the other dogs and puppies in her foster home. Phoenix loves all people and has been good with children. Phoenix walks well on a leash and is crate trained. Phoenix currently is staying in an outside kennel and we are unsure of her potty training status, but she is eager to please. We would love for Phoenix to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Phoenix is up to date on her shots and spayed. Meet Venice aka Vinnie: Vinnie is a little over two years old (as of August 2025) Plott Hound / Lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 60 pounds. Vinnie was rescued from the streets as a stray with his litter mates. The litter has grown and his siblings have all found homes and now it’s Vinnie’s turn! Vinnie is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Vinnie loves to run and play! Vinnie likes toys and treats. Vinnie is good with other dogs. Vinnie has gorgeous eyes and will surely steal some hearts! Vinnie is currently living at a kennel facility and we are not sure of his house-trained status. We would love for Vinnie to have a fenced in yard to run and play freely. This lovely lady is Umbreon!She came to the shelter as a stray and is now ready to find her new furever home. She is a little shy when meeting new peopleat first, but she does enjoy affection once she is comfortable. She would likely enjoy a quiet and calm lifestyle, but once she settles in she may be more playful and energetic.
