Story
Ava was found in a Northpointe neighborhood. Signs were put up in the area and she was posted on neighborhood sites. Sadly, no one claimed this pretty girl. Emmy’s Hope Rescue began sponsoring Ava in July 2020.   Ava is a very sweet, happy-go-lucky, even-tempered and affectionate big girl. She is very curious and has a high energy level. She loves to run and play fetch with balls, ropes and frisbees. When she is not fetching, then she likes to carry something around in her mouth. She loves to be petted, shake hands and give hugs. Ava needs a big yard to run around in and a loving, active family that’s experienced with big dogs.                                                                                                                                                                             Estimated birth date:  February 2019 Approximate weight:  70 lbs. If you would like to meet Ava, please call or text Stephanie at: 281-622-6549. *** ADOPTION CRITERIA *** To qualify to adopt from Emmy's Hope Rescue, YOU MUST HAVE ALL 4 QUALIFIERS: 1. Live in the Houston area (no more than an hour's drive away). 2. Be 21 years or older. 3. Have a fenced yard. Fencing must touch the ground all the way around the yard. 4. We are looking for experienced pet owners. You must have at least 3 years of good vet history, with your current and / or past dogs. Your vet record should show that you take your dog(s) to the vet annually for an exam and to update their Rabies and DHPP (distemper, parvo) vaccinations and heartworm testing, and that you purchase a monthly heartworm preventative.April 14, 2024, 5:43 pm

Story
Saint and Jude were found as strays. They have been with us for 8 months without any interest. They are very sweet boys who adore people. They are well mannered and aim to please. They love to play together but also know how to settle and take a nap close to each other. They would flourish in an active home with a family who would take them on long walks and play with them in the yard. Jude is great with other dogs. Saint is more selective - He is ok with females and young dogs.To meet me, please fill out an adoption application on https://www.hartrescue.com/adoption-process

Story
Hello!  My name is Harmony. I am a very high energy and treat motivated.  I am selective with meeting new dogs, but with proper introduction I'll feel more comfortable. I feel a little threatened by dogs bigger than me. Like I've got something to prove. I am crate trained and ride well in the car.  Not sure what I think about cats... I love attention and am working on my social skills - some are not sure what to think about me because I am not real timid at first - I am an up in your space type of girl. I am still working on my manners as they don't teach those to you on the streets but I am learning quickly!&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 I would enjoy a large yard to play in. I'm working on leash training because I love to run with the wind! Will you be the one I call family? April 24, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Harper is very in-tune to her people.  She is still young at heart and therefore is also high energy. Her energy level requires a high fenced yard with plenty of room to “zoom” :0).  She is a great car rider, who doesn’t drool or get carsick and loves to ride. She is crate trained and VERY treat motivated.  She gets along well with MOST other dogs - but can be selective so proper introduction would be best. She gets along better with male dogs than females and would be PRIME for an "only dog" household.  Harper has a tendency to play rough so needs supervision to avoid over-escalation with other dogs.  She has not been around children or cats. She has tried to play with the horses but is not vicious.  She is truly a loyal loving girl that needs her forever home! She is a girl and not always aware of  her strength. She would be a great addition to an active family. Thank  you for adopting!! We would love to get updates should you want to send them!!! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Thank you!     April 24, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Rabon is a wonderful dog. He is crate trained and loves to get lots of attention and petting. Rabon will play with the neighbors dogs on the other side of the fence (both male and female and the same size as him). He likes to run, and depending on the dog will play with them. He destroyed any toys he got and his bed, but does not seem to be interested in deer antlers. He eats dry food and gets chicken and vegetable. Both Rabon and his foster sister Chapel are currently working with the trainer, and they can be adopted separately. April 24, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Smoothie is one of a littler of 7 that were found while their eyes were still closed.  She is the only female in the bunch.  She is timid at first but warms up QUICKLY - constantly seeking attention and approval - she is very smart.  She has not been housetrained, but we are working on crate training and she is doing very well!!  She loves to run and explore, and has a tendancy to be clingy to her people.  She has not been exposed to cats or kids.... so larger kids would be better as she does not know how to contain her energy.  She is a LOVE.  Smoothie is friends with EVERYONE she meets - two AND four legged.  April 24, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Hey there! I have some great news for you - I have a furry friend who is looking for a loving home! His name is Dale and he is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. Despite being shy, he promises to be the best companion you could ask for. He never barks and is very quiet. He is fully trained, crate trained, and walks very well on a leash without pulling. The only thing that he needs is trust and affection from his new family. Would you be willing to help him feel comfortable and loved? Dale would be a perfect fit for elderly people, as he requires very little maintenance and is already trained. He is not bothered by other dogs and has never met a cat before. Although he is not very fond of going outside, he is fully potty-trained and does his business quietly and discreetly. Maybe with your help, he can learn to love the outdoors too! This little guy has so much potential and just needs someone to believe in him. He smiles on walks and is slowly coming out of his shell, but still feels most comfortable in his corner in the kitchen. Will you be the one to help him break out of his shell and show him the love he deserves? Thank you for taking the time to read about this amazing pup!April 24, 2024, 11:08 am
