Story
Coco is 4 years old and is very sweet! She’s does well loves to cuddle on your chest and get snuggles. She’s does well likes to play with feather cat toys and is great with dogs. She gets along with other cats but is not getting along with my son’s other male cat which is why we’re looking to rehome. She is up to date on all her shots and does well with cat baths. She will bring anyone joy!

Story
This is prince. He had originally been adopted around 5 years ago when he was 9. Since adopting prince, we've got to see his personality come through. He's a pretty chill guy and mostly likes to just hang around wherever you go. He's not a big cuddler, but he'll happily sit beside you and accept pets while you relax. Now that he's getting older he's definitely showing a bit of arthritis and he does need a little bit of (cat safe) laxative mixed in with his wet food daily, but otherwise he's in good health and can act independently. He has a very soft and fluffy coat and loves to show it off by rolling around on the floor or just sleeping on his back.Prince is a fairly large cat, given that he's half maine coon. When we had originally adopted him, he was overweight and had trouble with asthma, but after some time in a smoke free home we haven't seen any asthma flair-ups in the years that we've had him.It breaks my heart, but due to instability here, he'll need a new loving home.

Story
I’m Sue, foster mom for Zeus and Oreo, a bonded pair up for adoption. These two boys have formed a quiet, special bond in my home, and I would love to see them continue that together.Oreo is the one who will win you over immediately. He’s a big, beautiful tuxedo with a thick, smoky coat and a confident, easygoing personality. He loves people, loves being brushed and pet, and will happily cuddle up with you to watch TV. He’s friendly, relaxed, and just a really easy cat to have around. Oreo came to us through no fault of his own when his family had to surrender him due to allergies, and he’s handled the transition like a champ.Zeus is different - and that’s what makes him special. He’s a stunning Maine Coon and a gentle, sensitive boy who takes his time learning to trust. He’s not the kind of cat who rushes into your arms… but he is the kind who will quietly choose you over time. He now approaches, sniffs for connection, and has started asking for pets - and those moments feel incredibly meaningful. These two complement each other beautifully. Oreo brings confidence and ease, while Zeus brings depth and quiet connection. They both enjoy simple things - toys from the toybox, watching the world from a window, and just sharing space with their person.Zeus will need patience and a calm home where he can continue to open up, but he’s already making progress - and having Oreo by his side gives him a sense of comfort and stability. If you’re someone who wants an easy, loving companion and the opportunity to make a real difference in a shy cat’s life, this pair offers both. Oreo will be your instant buddy… and Zeus will be your slow, meaningful bond.Zeus born 6/10/2021At Meowtown, we don’t have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They’re not waiting to become housecats… they already are. They just need a house. If you are interested in them, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a meeting with my foster home!

Story
Diglet needs a home as soon as possible. He has mites and we've treated him 5 times but haven't been able to get rid of them. I had a stroke recently and have high bills now. I can't afford to take him to the vet. He needs help badly, because he has been getting pain spasms now. I recently treated him again but he still got the spasm. He's such a sweet cat, I hate to see him suffer. He's good with people and pets, just until he is healed and the mite are gone, he shouldn't be around kids, because he can't control himself with the spasms. Please someone give him the help he needs.Diglet is 6 years old. Came from a breeder, but not exactly sure if hes any breed. They said Maine coon, but hes not nearly as big as Maine coons are. He's a sweet cat, calm, and loving.

Story
Our next events to meet our pets:  Saturday September 27, 2025 from 1:30-3:30PM  at Take Me Home Pet Rescue 580 W Arapaho Rd Suite 433, Richardson, TX 75080 Saturday October 4, 2025 from 1-3PM at Petco in Plano 801F W 15th St, Plano, TX 75075   Marie Curie is the only girl in the ‘science babies’ litter and she’s as brilliant on the outside as she is on the inside! She’s a stunning torbie (mix of tortoiseshell and tabby) and an experiment of beautiful colors! Like her namesake, Marie is independent and happy keeping herself occupied. She’s playful, but less adventurous than her brothers and is happiest snuggling and making biscuits on you or a soft blanket. Marie has two siblings (Atom and Bond) and could be happy on her own or with a friend. Marie’s formula is 3 parts love and 2 parts independence. If you are looking for a balance of affection and independence, Marie could be the girl for you!    Marie Curie is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, she is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $135.  Our Adoption Process: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo an in person or virtual home visit from an RHS representative. Complete Application.  https://www.richardsonhumanesociety.org/adopt/ Phone Interview/Vet Check. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. We also get a reference from your vet, if applicable. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in. We will try to include the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Due to COVID, we may ask you to send a video of your yard and the pet's expected living space. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. ##2481268##
