Story
We adopted Musha a little ago because we had a really strong bond with her the multiple times we visited the shelter. She’s super sweet and affectionate, a huge cuddle bug who got along especially well with those who like to have a lot of guests over. She’s also super playful and energetic for her age, especially if you put in the effort to play with her. We decided to put her up because she doesn’t seem to get long well with our cats. She seems to have came from a traumatic background before we got her, especially since we found out her previous owners had declaw her when we got her from the animal shelter. She doesn’t really fight other animals, she just go through a lot of stress around them because of her condition. And when she’s under a lot or stress, she tends to urinate. She’s a super sweet cat with a bold personality and we would really like to relocate her to someone who could provide her with a better home.

Story
Harker is the bravest kitten in her litter, much like her namesake- Jonathan Harker from Dracula.   Even though she’s very brave, this little girl looks like she has seen some… stuff. But despite her haunted and shocked expression, Harker is an absolute sweetheart of a kitten and is on the hunt for vampires, fun, and her forever home. She’d love to live in a big gothic castle, but she will forgive you if you have castle taste on a studio apartment budget. As long as you have time to give her love, attention, vet care, and snacks.  Like most kittens, Harker loves kitty companions and would love to be adopted into a home with a resident cat or with one of her siblings (Maybe Applebottom or Robin?) Harker is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, she is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $125.    RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Story
Robin has the softest fur and the cutest little fur mask on his face. Despite looking like part of a crime fighting duo, Robin has reported that he’d commit *a lot* of crimes for a good snack. Good day? Time for a snack. Bad day? Time for a snack. Got tickets to the Chapell Roan concert? Time for a snack. Didn’t get tickets to the Chappell Roan concert? Time to cry AND have a snack. Just had a snack? Time for a snack! Truly, this kiddo’s capacity and love for snacks is endless. But even more than a good snack, Robin is looking for his forever home where he can be loved and cherished. He’d love to be adopted with one of his siblings like Harker or Cheez! Robin is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. Story
Arwen is a gorgeous kitten that is 90% fluff, 10% sass. Arwen has incredibly soft fur that you just can’t stop petting- plus, she won't allow it anyways. She's the most playful of her siblings and it’s clear she has been raised with all boys. This tiny girl can hold her own!  Arwen and and her brother Legolas are the best of buds and we're hoping to adopt them together. Like most kittens, she can get a little shy in new situations, but once you give her some snacks and toys, she's back to her usual boisterious, playful self.  Once she's tired herself out from playing, she loves to cuddle up with her foster family and snooze in their arms until she gets her next burst of energy!  We don’t DNA test our kittens, but we think Arwen looks like she could be a Maine coon-type mix. Most cats in the US are made up of a variety of different breeds, and we think Arwen falls into that category as well. Either way, we know she’s 100% cute! Story
If you are looking to have a life long companion that never leaves your side, Gimli is your boy. He is the first one to greet his foster family at the door and always wants to be as close to them as possible.  He's the opposite of the strong silent type. Instead, this little guy loves chatting with his foster family and telling them all about his day and feelings. He is truly an incredibly sweet little boy who just loves all the attention you will give him.  Gimli and his brother Radagast are best friends and we think he would be happiest if they could be adopted together.  We don’t DNA test our kittens, but we think he looks like he could be a Maine coon-type mix. Story
Radagast has the funniest fur! He has a mix of long fur and medium fur and he looks like he's puffing up, but it's just his unique coat!  When playing,  Radagast is on the gentler side and is always the first one to get side tracked (especially if you have a snack to give him!) . He and his brother Gimli are best friends and are well matched with their gentle play styles. Radagast is a pretty chill kitten who has a laid back, affable personality and we think he could be a great fit for a variety of homes!
