Story
Meet Mimi, a declawed Maine Coon mix, born in 2018. She came to Saving Hope when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. The chaos of leaving the only home she had ever known triggered a past issue with stress-induced bladder stones that caused a blockage. She had surgery to remove them, and now this beautiful girl is ready for her forever home.Mimi is a super sweet, smart, playful girl with gorgeous looks to match her stellar personality. She loves being brushed, which is needed to maintain her luscious long coat and prevent hairballs. Mimi enjoys chasing toys and is a catnip lover. She is initially cautious in new places but warms up within a couple days. Mimi is a quiet girl with a very tiny meow. She is very serious about being petted and will gently paw your arm and meow if you stop! Mimi has never lived with another animal before and is sensitive to loud noises, so she would do best as an only pet with older children. She eats prescription urinary food to keep her healthy. Although Mimi needs daily brushing and special food, she is easy to please and just wants a couch to lounge on and a person to love that loves her too. She is vetted and has excellent litterbox manners. She would like to be an only pet.Saving Hope supports all kitties keeping their claws. Mimi was surrendered to us declawed. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. We cannot reply to all inquiries, but respond to all no obligation applications. Story
Meet Azalea! Azalea is a gorgeous Maine Coon mix born early 2022. Azalea's story is a true testament to the power of love and determination! She had a home and knew love at some point, her demeanor suggested so. But somewhere along the line she was failed, whether intentionally or not she was forced to defend for herself unspayed and vulnerable to all the dangers cats like her face. Despite it all, she has a forgiving heart and a sweetness that only comes from a loyal and loving cat. She enjoys being spoiled with pets and belly scratches and all the comforts a home provides. She is confident and doesn't take no for an answer. She knows how sweet and safe life can be and she wanted that for her babies. Azalea is living proof that kindness can change lives! She doesn't mind other calm cats and dogs that will leave her alone but wouldn't mind having her very own person all to herself! She is fully vetted and has excellent litter manners. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. We cannot reply to all inquiries, but respond to all no obligation applications. Story
We adopted Musha a little ago because we had a really strong bond with her the multiple times we visited the shelter. She’s super sweet and affectionate, a huge cuddle bug who got along especially well with those who like to have a lot of guests over. She’s also super playful and energetic for her age, especially if you put in the effort to play with her. We decided to put her up because she doesn’t seem to get long well with our cats. She seems to have came from a traumatic background before we got her, especially since we found out her previous owners had declaw her when we got her from the animal shelter. She doesn’t really fight other animals, she just go through a lot of stress around them because of her condition. And when she’s under a lot or stress, she tends to urinate. She’s a super sweet cat with a bold personality and we would really like to relocate her to someone who could provide her with a better home.

Story
Harker is the bravest kitten in her litter, much like her namesake- Jonathan Harker from Dracula.   Even though she’s very brave, this little girl looks like she has seen some… stuff. But despite her haunted and shocked expression, Harker is an absolute sweetheart of a kitten and is on the hunt for vampires, fun, and her forever home. She’d love to live in a big gothic castle, but she will forgive you if you have castle taste on a studio apartment budget. As long as you have time to give her love, attention, vet care, and snacks.  Like most kittens, Harker loves kitty companions and would love to be adopted into a home with a resident cat or with one of her siblings (Maybe Applebottom or Robin?) Harker is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, she is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $125.    RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $125 for cats, and payable by Paypal, Venmo, cash, or check. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. ##2078816##

Story
Applebotom jeans, kitten with the purr (with the purr!), the whole club was looking at… well, Applebottom because, honestly, a cuter kitten has never existed! This stunning boy decided he wasn’t meant for the street after all and has given up his previous life of being outside to become an absolutely adorable, playful kitten who is always up for a new adventure or snuggling up with his siblings for a cuddle puddle nap. We think Applebottom would love to be adopted to a home with a resident cat to help him grow up into the best cat he can be or with one of his siblings. Maybe Harker or Cheez?  We don’t DNA test our kittens, but we think he looks like he could be a Maine coon-type mix. Most cats in the US are made up of a variety of different breeds, and we think Applebottom falls into that category as well. Either way, we know he’s 100% cute! Applebottom is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, he is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Story
Cheez is a thoughtful little kitten who prefers to let his more boisterous siblings do the adventuring while he stays close to his people and accepts as much petting as you’ll give him. This sweet little boy tends to be a little more shy, but we think he’ll gain more confidence once he’s in a forever home where he can have someone’s undivided attention. He has a tiny little meow, and will follow you around begging to be pet and loved on. He’s so attention motivated that he tends to forego treats and toys for a good scratch under his chin. Once he trusts you, he just melts his whole body into you and would love to be adopted by someone who works from home. He’s the perfect kitten to cuddle while you read a good book or watch binge Netflix. We don’t DNA test our kittens, but we think he looks like he could be a Maine coon-type mix.
