Story
My sweet Linnie 💗 Linnie is a 10 year old Maltese little lady who was time stamped at ACCT Philly. Her owners surrendered her to the shelter because it was obvious by her breath that she needed a dental and they said they could not afford it. The team at Zoe’s House, with the help of our wonderful community, got her free of the euthanasia list and into a loving foster home. She was determined to have a serious heart murmur but with medication, she was cleared to undergo surgery to be spayed and to have a dental where the diseased teeth were removed. It was also determined that Linnie has some mammary masses, likely from not being spayed early in her life, which are likely cancerous. Her heart and age caution against the prolonged surgery to remove these masses. Linnie is on a daily heart medication and gabapentin for any discomfort. Linnie is unbothered. She is a lady who knows what she likes and what she wants. She enjoys her meals, long naps thereafter and loving in between. She travels fabulously in the car and walks well on a leash. She loves a pup cup 😋She is house trained and cares not for the crate. She doesn’t need it. She is a true lady who is just hoping to enjoy her golden years close by her human. She is being fostered with other small dogs and tolerates respectful interaction but she would love to be the center of your eye and heart. She is a joy❤️ Linnie is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A home visit and meet and greet with all residents is part of the application process. She is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is microchipped. Story
Hello, my name is: SpencerApprox. DOB: 07/22/2022Weight: 5.1 lbsSex/Breed: Neutered male MalteseRescued From: Breeding kennelSpencer is a gentle little Maltese rescued from a breeding kennel, and he’s slowly learning how wonderful life can be. He’s timid and would do best in a calm, quiet home with someone patient who will let him build trust at his own pace.Even though he’s still a bit nervous, Spencer happily greets his foster family with a wagging tail when they come home, and once he’s comfortable, he enjoys couch snuggles and gives the sweetest kisses. He does great with other dogs and would love a home with canine friends to help show him the way. A fenced yard would be ideal since he loves going outside and sniffing around.Spencer is still learning potty training and leash walking, but he’s an easygoing, very good boy who’s trying his best. With love and patience, he’ll make an incredibly loyal and loving companion.Help us continue to step up for dogs like Spencer and consider donating towards their medical care: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-make-a-difference-in-animals-livesAll our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
✨Meet Maxie!✨ Maxie came to us after being surrendered by her previous family. Maxie is a 2 year old Maltese mixed breed. Maxie is a young dog that will require a family up to the task of providing her the ample physical and mental exercise and training that all dogs require. All dogs require an adjustment period after adoption to decompress and acclimate to their new home, routine, housemates, and environment. Patience, consistency, and guidance are required to help them successfully transition and become a part of their new family! If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Angel’s Retreat West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335

Story
Hi!  My name is Mattie and I am looking for a forever home. I was part of an operation to rescue over 80 small dogs in order to put a backyard breeder out of operation as we were not being very well taken care of.  One of those rescues reached out to BCAA to see if they could help some of us and they said yes ... yeah!  We were all pretty scared when we first came into foster but everyone has been so nice to us and with some TLC and time, we are slowly coming out of our shells.  I would love to find a  quiet home, maybe with a friend or two to help me learn the ropes.  My foster mom was told I am a "malti-poo" (part maltese & part poodle); she just says I'm super cute.  I weigh just a little over 9lbs and at around 18mos old, I shouldn't get any bigger.  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and even share a crate with two of my friends without any issues, including eating side-by-side.  I have done well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any of our bedding.  I have never had a leash on before & they do scare me so I will need a physically fenced yard in order to take care of my business.  If you would like to meet me or one of my friends, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Lady’s a 7yo 10lb Maltese mix. She’s dog selective, cat and kid 13+ friendly. She’s housebroken if kept on a schedule but will wear a diaper and use pee pads and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She’s agile, smart, likes squeaky toys, people and going for walks but will bark at people, dogs and noises. She is easy startled so best to sleep in a dog bed on the floor so not to accidentally wake her while sleeping. Lady’s foster requires a calm home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be an only dog, brushed/groomed often to prevent matting along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lady as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lady takes medication for a seizure disorder and for her eyes. She’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Phila, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
