PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK MEET DEXTER the MALTI-CHON-POO North New Jersey Dexter is an 18lb 10 yo Maltese-Bichon-Poodle and the sweetest little dude. Dexter was loved his whole life but unfortunately his elderly owner could no longer care for him. He is loving, gentle, and quiet and would be a wonderful companion for someone who is retired or works from home and wants a buddy to hang out with. Dexter loves to nap and EAT and enjoys meandering around the yard sniffing all the smells. In his former home he didn’t have a yard so he is accustomed to going for walks. He lived with another small breed dog in his former home and currently in his foster home and doesn’t have much interest in them. He very much prefers his human but he is pretty independent as well. He is just an all-around easy going guy that is just happy to have a soft bed and yummy food with some pets and loving in between. Dexter is not a fussy eater but his tummy was a bit of figuring out. He landed on a basic kibble and has been regular since. He was brought UTD, HW negative, had a dental and cherry eye removal (it won’t come back), full blood work and xrays, he is neutered, and he is housebroken for outside but he will use potty pads if available. He is a loving little guy that deserves his special person for the holidays. All meet & greets and adoptions are held in north New Jersey, and we do not transport our pups. You must come to NJ. We also do not “hold” dogs. It is “first qualified, first come” and our expectation is you will move quickly to conduct the meet & greet if you are approved. Baxter is a 12-pound, 2-3-year-old Malti Tzu (a Maltese and Shih Tzu mix), and he embodies all the best, sweetest traits of both breeds. Ater a few days in his foster home, Baxter found his voice. Yes he has that Maltese trait. For this reason, Baxter is not suited to apartment life. Baxter was found as a stray in Nashville after someone suspected he’d been hit by a car and brought him to the emergency vet. Thankfully, there were no broken bones> He has now totally healed from a sore back leg. (Hih had X-rays when he was neutered. Everything now looks good.) We wish Baxter could tell us what happened and how he ended up on his own—it’s hard to imagine any family not wanting such a sweet boy. Baxter is both a people-lover and a dog’s dog! He loves to play and would thrive with a young, active canine companion in his forever home. He adores people and always wants to be by your side—be prepared to never be alone again! His leg never slowed him down; he still jumps on the furniture to be with his foster mom whenever steps are available. This young gentleman walks well on a leash and is fully housebroken. • Rescue Story: Meet Tonki👋 In April 2025, a group of small dogs—believed to be victims of an illegal breeding operation—were found abandoned together on the streets of South Korea. Tonki was one of them. Now, he’s ready to leave his difficult past behind and begin a new chapter as a beloved member of a loving family. Having learned how to live happily with humans in his foster home, Tonki is patiently waiting for his forever home—where he’ll be cherished, protected, and loved the way he truly deserves. • Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Bright Tonki is a lovable, easygoing pup with a bright, happy energy. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves showing his humans just how much love he has to give! While he may need a little extra time to warm up to adult men, once he does, he becomes a loyal and devoted furry companion. • Affinity with - Dogs: Wonderful with other dogs! Senior Abigail is back on the market and cuter than ever 😍 Don’t let her crusty old lady looks fool you, she is not a sleepy lapdog for Grandma and likes to be up and about where the action is. She prances and dances on her walks and around the yard and is always right at your feet gazing up at you lovingly and pawing you to share your meals or do something fun. She’s fine with other little dogs that aren’t aggressive to her or would be fine as an only; she’s all about human attention. She changes color depending on her stage of hair growth like a chameleon; when she was shaved down she appeared white but now that her hair is growing back she’s actually tan. Maybe if we let her hair grow long enough she will turn purple 🤔. She is non-shedding so will need grooming and was a matted mess when she originally came to us. We think she’s some kind of Maltese/yorkie/poodle type mix, about 8-10 years old, and 12lbs. She came to us with multiple low grade cancerous mammary masses that were removed but should be monitored for future recurrence or spread, and has chronic dry eye that needs prescription eye drops longterm which she’s very cooperative for. But otherwise in great health, bounces around like a much younger dog and is a friendly sweet little girl.
