PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK MEET DEXTER the MALTI-CHON-POO North New Jersey Dexter is an 18lb 10 yo Maltese-Bichon-Poodle and the sweetest little dude. Dexter was loved his whole life but unfortunately his elderly owner could no longer care for him. He is loving, gentle, and quiet and would be a wonderful companion for someone who is retired or works from home and wants a buddy to hang out with. Dexter loves to nap and EAT and enjoys meandering around the yard sniffing all the smells. In his former home he didn’t have a yard so he is accustomed to going for walks. He lived with another small breed dog in his former home and currently in his foster home and doesn’t have much interest in them. He very much prefers his human but he is pretty independent as well. He is just an all-around easy going guy that is just happy to have a soft bed and yummy food with some pets and loving in between. Dexter is not a fussy eater but his tummy was a bit of figuring out. He landed on a basic kibble and has been regular since. He was brought UTD, HW negative, had a dental and cherry eye removal (it won’t come back), full blood work and xrays, he is neutered, and he is housebroken for outside but he will use potty pads if available. He is a loving little guy that deserves his special person for the holidays. All meet & greets and adoptions are held in north New Jersey, and we do not transport our pups. You must come to NJ. We also do not “hold” dogs. It is “first qualified, first come” and our expectation is you will move quickly to conduct the meet & greet if you are approved. Meet Rio! This 10-month to 1-year-old Maltese mix weighs about 11 pounds and is as friendly as they come. Found as a stray alongside another small dog, Rio has already shown that he enjoys canine companionship and would likely do well with other small dogs. Rio is social, sweet, and happy to make new friends wherever he goes. When he first arrived, he was quite matted and dirty, so he had to be groomed while under for his neuter surgery. His current haircut isn’t his best look—but with regular grooming, he’ll be back to his adorable, fluffy self in no time! He can be cat tested if needed and would likely do well in a home with kids. Rio will need a family committed to keeping up with his grooming needs so he can look and feel his best. Meet Playful Patrick—a tiny 10-pound black and white Maltese mix who looks like a bouncing little lamb when he’s racing through the yard and steals hearts everywhere he goes. At just one year old, Patrick is the perfect blend of playful joy and gentle affection. He loves a good burst of backyard fun, but his favorite place in the world is right next to you—curled up on your lap with his little head resting sweetly on your shoulder, completely content just being close. Patrick is one of those rare little dogs who seems to understand companionship deeply. He is excellent on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and has wonderful house manners in his foster home. He is also neutered, heartworm tested, fully vaccinated, and microchipped—healthy, happy, and ready for his forever family. Social and easygoing, Patrick enjoys the company of cats and gets along well with most dogs. He and a Chihuahua in his foster home weren’t the closest of friends initially, but both came into rescue unneutered, and since that has been addressed, dynamics have improved and he continues to thrive in a structured environment. Patrick is wonderful with children, though due to his small size, a home with older, gentle kids is preferred just to keep him safe and comfortable. He is playful—not hyper—and brings a cheerful, steady joy wherever he goes. Everyone who meets him is instantly taken with his sweet, gentle personality and his undeniable charm. Patrick isn’t just cute—he’s the kind of little dog who quietly becomes your shadow, your comfort, and your constant companion. Tonki was one of them. Now, he’s ready to leave his difficult past behind and begin a new chapter as a beloved member of a loving family. Having learned how to live happily with humans in his foster home, Tonki is patiently waiting for his forever home—where he’ll be cherished, protected, and loved the way he truly deserves. • Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Bright Tonki is a lovable, easygoing pup with a bright, happy energy. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves showing his humans just how much love he has to give! While he may need a little extra time to warm up to adult men, once he does, he becomes a loyal and devoted furry companion. • Affinity with - Dogs: Wonderful with other dogs!
