Story
Meet Mako, a magnificent 10-year-old mastiff mix whose soulful eyes and tender spirit will melt your heart instantly. This gentle giant has journeyed through abandonment and hardship, only to emerge with a kindness that touches everyone he meets. Now, Mako is ready to find his forever home where he can finally enjoy the simple pleasures of a warm bed, loving family, and peaceful neighborhood strolls. Mako's journey began when he was discovered abandoned at a local school, struggling with a noticeable limp and blindness in his left eye. Despite these challenges, he captured the hearts of our rescue team. Under our care, Mako has flourished: his limp has completely resolved, while his blind eye has been removed to improve his comfort and quality of life. This distinguished gentleman enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along wonderfully with older children (his impressive size makes him better suited for families with kids who understand how to respectfully interact with larger dogs). Everyone at the Sanctuary adores how he gently leans into you for pets and cuddles, silently asking for just a little more of your attention and love. Mako walks beautifully on leash, respects doorways and has fully mastered house training and crate training. His understanding of basic commands demonstrates his intelligence and eagerness to please, making him a joy to have around the home. His wish list for his forever family is pretty short: a loving family, neighborhood walks, and a warm bed. Mako’s adoption fee includes his completed veterinary exams, vaccines, neuter and microchip. He's ready to go home with you, bringing his gentle presence and unconditional love to complete your family. Will you be the one to give this deserving soul the retirement years he so deserves? Story
Penny came to us from the euthanasia list at the county shelter. She weighed a severely overweight 110 lbs and suffered from chronic eye issues. She was going to be euthanized for her medical needs. She was a volunteer favorite at the shelter, and what was more than clear to all of us was that this precious girl had simply never been given the chance to live the life she deserved. Since coming into our care, Penny has lost over 45 lbs and is looking better than we could have ever imagined. She has transformed into the type of dog who would fill her perfect home with all the love in the world. She loooves to play, adores her toys, has learned impressive obedience commands [and impulse control!], and she really is something special. Given her size and strength, Penny would do best with a person or family who can keep up her obedience work at home so she can continue to be her very best self and get in all the walks and activity that she needs. And speaking of home, she would love to be your one and only fur baby, and she made me promise to tell you that a yard for her would be a dream come true. Penny's adoption fee includes her completed veterinary exams, bloodwork, vaccines, microchip and spay. With her in it, we can promise your home won't feel empty again, and she is sure to steal your heart 100 times over...guaranteed! To meet Penny, apply here https://lovethemallrescue.org/penny. She is sure to steal your heart 100 times over.

Story
**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces Vintage Paws Animal Rescue** Meet Raisin- the BIG dog with a tiny name. :-) Raisin is approximately one-year-old and weighs a whopping 115 pounds! He is guessed to be some sort of Mastiff/Cane Corso mix. Raisin came to the rescue because he was actually tied up outside of the shelter door with his bed and food. We don't know much about Raisin's past, but we do know he is presently a BIG love-bug! Raisin is full of affection and energy. He will need a family who is able to provide him with the space and outlet for his energy that his size/breed will require. Raisin is leash-trained but a strong boy, and pulls on the leash when excited. He is working on his basic manners and knows "sit" and "paw" for a treat; he would love to learn more!  Raisin is sweet with his human friends and loves back scratches and pets. He is a curious boy though, and may not come up to you right away, because he's busy checking everything out. Please only apply for adoption if you are a fan of slobber and schnoodle- because Raisin has plenty of both! ;-) Raisin has done fine with other dogs he's met at the shelter. Please plan on bringing your dog from home in for an intro. Raisin's adoption fee includes neuter surgery, vaccinations up to date including Rabies certificate, and microchip.
