Story
Age:1 Weight: 118 Location: New Hope, PA Nicknames: Melly Good with other dogs?: Yes. Mel loves all friendly dogs and would benefit from a confident K9 companion. Good with cats? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with a cat Good with children? OK for kids over: 15 Activity Preference: Needs in-house activities, Up for a long hike any day., Low maintenance overall but needs quality outside time., Will go with the flow IQ: Smart Melody's favorite things: Mel loves snacks, taking walks with her people, learning what toys are, rolling in the grass ans sunshine. Melody is good at: meeting dogs, behaving in the house, walking on a leash Ideal home: another dog, quiet environment, someone at home most of the day, a fenced yard Training Needs: socialization with people Health issues: Healthy puppy on preventatives and Wellactin Meet Melody Mel was brought to a city shelter and was extremely fearful. She is doing much better and with the right home she will continue her confidence building. She is about a year old and house trained, great on a leash, loves other dogs and NEEDS a fenced in yard. We would prefer an adult only home as she is still afraid of loud noises and lots of commotion. A confident dog would be a big plus.   PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Please visit www.AmericanBulldogRescue.org to apply! This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
We are all celebrating because TATE IS HW- AND IS OFFICIALLY CLEARED TO GO ON TRANSPORT TO A FOREVER HOME 🏡 🥳 Tate is a big, handsome snuggle bug that is searching for his forever family🏡 Tate came into rescue already a 100% good boy and ready for his forever home. He is around 6 years old & a wonderful, settled pup. He is a mastiff mix that is respectful with his size and loves to give us a big beautiful smile in exchange for belly rubs🥰 Tate gets along with everyone he meets, human and animal alike, and we think he would do well in a home with or without furry siblings. He is currently in a home with two other male dogs and they get along wonderfully! He is very passive and friendly. More than anything, he wants a couch and a bed to snuggle up on and some people to spend his days with. He also LOVES car rides and will rest his head on the dash while being your shotgun rider💕 Tate is housetrained, walks well on a leash and is great with kids! He needs to be in a home without cats, but we know there is a perfect, cat-free home out there! If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama, Pennsylvania and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!
