Story
Meet Thalia! Thalia is a sweet, happy girl who always seems to have a wagging tail and is ready to soak up all the attention you have to give. Since settling into her foster home, she has begun to decompress and show more of her personality, gaining confidence and starting to explore the world around her. Thalia does well with calm dogs and prefers to walk in the back of the pack, taking everything in at her own pace. On walks, she has shown very little prey drive. She has encountered squirrels and even a fox without much interest beyond mild curiosity—after all, they seem like pretty strange-looking dogs to her! While Thalia has not yet been cat tested, her calm and curious reactions to wildlife suggest she may do well with cats. As with any new introduction, we would recommend a slow and proper transition. We're still getting to know this lovely girl and will share more about her personality as she continues to settle in and blossom. For now, we can tell you that Thalia is a joyful, affectionate companion who is ready to find a family of her own.

Story
Lucy is discovering the world for the very first time—and it’s a beautiful thing to watch. Coming from a home where she didn’t get much socialization, everything is new to her. Like a young child, she approaches life with wide-eyed curiosity, wonder, and a quiet excitement that grows a little more each day. Lucy is dog-friendly and naturally a bit shy, but with the help of her loving foster “momma” and resident dog companion, she’s beginning to understand that she’s safe and that people can be kind. Her confidence is blossoming, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see her learn to trust. She would thrive in a home with another dog—one who can be her playmate, cuddle buddy, and gentle teacher. Having a canine companion helps Lucy feel secure and encourages her to keep coming out of her shell. At her core, Lucy is sweet, affectionate, and full of quiet joy. She absolutely lights up when she gets to play with toys—it’s clear she’s making up for lost time, and her happiness is contagious. Watching her discover simple pleasures is sure to bring a smile to your face every single day. Lucy is ready for a patient, loving home that will continue to show her that the world is a good place. In return, she’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, love, and endless moments of wonder.

Story
Hello, ladies! My name is Ford Ranger, and while I arrived at the shelter as a stray with very little known about my past, I've made one thing crystal clear about my future: I am looking for a home where the feminine energy is strong. I am a certified Girls' Guy™. The female staff here? Obsessed with me. Me? Equally obsessed with them. The men? Well... let's just say we're still in the "it's complicated" stage of our relationship. I do require someone with breed experience. I'd prefer an adult-only home who understand that trust takes time and good things are worth waiting for. Once I decide you're part of my inner circle, though, prepare yourself. I become a world-class cuddle enthusiast. Despite weighing considerably more than a Chihuahua, I firmly believe I am lap sized. This is not up for debate. I also have a playful side and enjoy having fun with my people. What I need most is a family willing to provide structure, positive reinforcement training, and consistency while I continue building confidence and learning how to navigate the world. So, if your household is giving "women supporting women" energy, if your playlists occasionally feature girl power anthems, and if you're looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to adore his favorite people, we should probably meet. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #3537

Story
Astoria is a special girl with a heart that’s just waiting for the right people to help it shine. She first came to us as a stray and was later adopted but unfortunately returned after becoming too rough with the other dog in the home. Since being back, we’ve continued learning more about her and have seen just how much she wants to connect, she just needs time and understanding to feel safe. Astoria struggles with confidence and can be unsure in new situations or around unfamiliar people. Because of this, she’s looking for a patient, quieter home that will allow her to settle in at her own pace. We believe she would do best in a home with children 13 years and older who can respect her boundaries while she adjusts. Once Astoria begins to trust you, her personality truly comes alive. She’s affectionate, playful, and loves being around her people. She also has a rough-and-rowdy play style and could benefit from continued work on her manners and learning appropriate ways to channel her excitement. With patience, structure, and a family willing to help build her confidence, Astoria has all the potential to blossom into an amazing companion. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #3537
