Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rhino is a handsome 2-year-old Cane Corso with soulful eyes and a quiet, thoughtful presence. He can be shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his gentle and affectionate personality begins to shine. He forms meaningful bonds with those who earn his trust and has a soft spot for the ladies. Rhino is crate trained when left alone and does very well overnight outside of the crate. He has experience being around dogs of many sizes and personalities and generally does well, especially with appropriate introductions and clear expectations. He has a solid foundation of training and shows good potential for continued growth. Rhino’s foster mom is actively working with him to build confidence, reinforce structure, and support positive behaviors as he prepares for his forever home. Transition & Training Support To ensure Rhino’s success during adoption, there will be a 4–6 week training and transition period with his foster mom as he moves into his new home. This period is intended to provide continuity, consistency, and guidance during a major life change. The goal is a smooth transition that supports Rhino emotionally and behaviorally while setting clear expectations for long-term success. Adopters should be prepared to participate in this transition process and maintain the routines and training strategies that have already been established. Ideal Home & Adopter Expectations Rhino will thrive in a home that understands large-breed dogs and values structure, patience, and ongoing training. His ideal home will include patient and consistent adopters who allow him time to adjust and build trust; a willingness to actively participate in the 4–6 week transition and training period; clear structure, routine, and boundaries; experience with large or guardian-type breeds (or a strong commitment to learning); proper dog introductions and ongoing social guidance; an  an understanding that training is an ongoing process, not a one-time solution.A calm, supportive environment with clear communication will allow Rhino to grow into theconfident, loyal companion he is capable of becoming.SummaryRhino is a gentle giant with a soft heart who is looking for an adopter ready to invest in him, guide him, and appreciate his steady, meaningful bond. With patience, consistency, andcontinued support, Rhino will make an incredible lifelong companion Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 15, 2026, 4:27 pm

Story
Hello! This is Kori. She is 5 yrs old. An sweet energetic girl. She loves people and is also very affectionate. Kori came to me as a boarding and daycare client however her previous owners went through some life changes and couldnt keep her. They were considering giving her to the shelter however I didn't think she would do well in that environment. She does get nervous in new noisy places so i decided to foster. I run a boarding business so shes been around all size dogs. She does well with male dogs. Other females take some warming up to but in time she's ready to play. She has been around small children via her previous home and loves children. She does know the basics (Sit, Stay, Down etc.) She is house and crate trained as well. She is an free adoption. She is coming with everything needed (Beds, Crate, food). I am also offering to help pay 50% towards training to help her transition into her new home. Kori is such a good dog. She would make a great addition to the family.

Story
PLUTO – A Gentle Giant Who’s Learning What Love Feels Like   Pluto’s story is one of quiet strength, resilience, and hope. When he was first found, Pluto’s body told a heartbreaking story—thin, weak, and covered in the marks of neglect, he had clearly been struggling to survive for far too long. Yet even in his frailest moments, his eyes showed nothing but kindness and a longing to trust again.   With time, care, and steady meals, Pluto has begun to heal. His once fragile frame is filling out, his coat is regaining its shine, and his spirit is blossoming. Today, Pluto is discovering the joy of simple things—soft bedding, full bowls, gentle voices, and the company of people who see him for the beautiful soul he is.   Pluto is a large, calm, and affectionate boy. He moves with quiet confidence and has a gentle presence that draws you in. He gets along well with other dogs, especially those who are respectful and laid-back like he is. He’s not demanding; instead, he enjoys just being near his people, resting his head close by, or soaking up a few moments of peace in the sun.   After everything he’s been through, Pluto deserves a home that will offer him consistency, kindness, and the unconditional love he has always given in return. He is a living reminder that even after hardship, trust and joy can return with patience and care.   Pluto is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. He will be fully vetted prior to adoption.   Location: Texas (available for transport) Adoption Fee: $350 plus health certificate and transport (if out of state – varies by location) Adoption Process: The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. All Pep’s Pals Rescue adoptions include a virtual interview and video meet-and-greet.   Pluto is ready to leave his past behind and finally experience the comfort of a loving forever home.
