Story
He was purchased from a reputable Boerboel breeder. He is DNA tested and that information will be provided to you if you choose to adopt. He is 2 years old, he will be 3 in 2026. In a new home, he will require a lot of time with you as he is a very affectionate dog. Although he is a big dog, he does not require a lot of space. So if you have a condo or an apartment, he will do well there. However, if you have a farm or a lot of space, that would be the ideal place for him. This breed is made to be a farm dog, the name Boerboel translates into farm dog. If I could describe him in a few words, I would say lovable, sweet, and silly. The cons for him are moderate shedding and some allergies.

Story
This is Scotty, hes a purebred English mastiff and he turned eight years old this month. Ive had him since he was 3 months old, hes been my best friend for the past 8 years and it breaks my heart but I have to unexpectedly move for work and I cant take him with me. Hes spent his whole life in a wooded area where he was able to roam and have more freedom than the typical dog does but hes an indoor dog too. Hes very sweet and gentle all hes ever wanted is love and attention, hes great with kids and he grew up in the home with two cats. Hes happy and healthy, although he might be an old man at this point he is still more than capable of running and playing. I would love for him to go to a loving family with a farm or some land where he can live out the rest of his life happily. There is no legal requirement for him to be fixed as the page says at the top. Also I would be willing to partially sponsor his stay with you

Story
Meet Tuco, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his paws! This handsome Mastiff mix has already stolen the hearts of everyone at the shelter. Tuco`s story began when he was abandoned at our shelter after his own passed away, but despite his rocky start, he hasn’t let it dim his sweet and loving spirit.Tuco is a smart boy who knows a few commands like `sit` and is eager to please. Since arriving, he’s been co-housed with another dog—likely his longtime companion—and has shown he can do well with canine friends. With his calm nature and affectionate personality, Tuco is ready to find a family who will give him the love, security, and cozy naps he deserves. If you’ve been looking for a loyal best friend, Tuco might just be your paw-fect match! This pet is available at:BVSPCA - Lancaster2195 Lincoln Hwy ELancaster, PA 17602PA Kennel License #18767

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Hello to all of my fellow Mastiff lovers.   I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Bear and I am the quintessential Mastiff mix of loyalty, playfulness, gentleness, and protectiveness.  I would love to share my home with a human/s who know my breed well, as I am not a novice owner.  I take my job seriously and want you to know when there is a shift in the environment that may need your attention.   I am not a big barker but I am vigilant until you tell me that everything is ok.     I enjoy my crate and it can be a place of calm if I start to take my job too seriously.  I am completely house trained as well.     My strengths:  Smart - I know my 8 basic safety commands in varying capacities - Look, Touch, Sit, Down Stay, Come, Leave it, and Place.  Playful - I love toys, running, jumping, and hanging with my people.  Polite - I am polite on leash unless something fun comes my way like chickens or dogs.   I can become cautious if I see strangers but I move along fine if you tell me everything's ok.   Quiet - I am not a big barker and would prefer watching as things come and go in my environment.  Loyal - I am the most trustworthy guy you will ever know once I know that you are a part of my pack.  I am trusting and enjoy a cuddle once in a while.  I will look for you and want to be with you always.  Trusting - Once you belong to me, I am yours forever.   I am a great sleeper and love my meals.  I enjoy riding in cars.   I enjoy long walks when the weather is not too hot.  I think I would enjoy hiking a lot.     Things I am working on:  Commands - Perfecting my 8 safety commands.  Trusting new things - The more places I go and the more you can let me watch from a distance, the more I can trust new places.  Trusting new people - I need slow introductions with new people who are confident and want to have a relationship.  I am not interested in casual interactions.  I will do best if I know what you expect of me in these situations but I would prefer not to be pushed or 'talked into' socializing.     I will do better with no children or other pets in the home, as I have a hard time sharing the affection.  I was not proofed with cats so I don't know how I feel about them.     General Mastiff traits -  Mastiffs are known for their gentle, calm, and loyal personalities, making them excellent family pets. They are also protective and courageous, exhibiting a natural instinct to guard their families and homes. Despite their imposing size, Mastiffs are often described as 'gentle giants' due to their affectionate and patient nature.    Here's a more detailed look at their personality traits: Loyal and Devoted: Mastiffs form strong bonds with their families and are known for their unwavering loyalty.    Gentle and Affectionate: They are naturally gentle and affectionate, especially with their family members, and enjoy cuddling and close companionship.    Calm and Patient: Mastiffs are generally calm and patient, making them suitable for households with children and other pets, though early socialization and training are still important.    Protective and Courageous: They possess a natural instinct to protect their families and territory, making them excellent watchdogs.    Intelligent and Eager to Please: Mastiffs are intelligent dogs that learn quickly and respond well to positive reinforcement training methods.    Relatively Quiet: While they can be alert and watchful, they are not typically known for excessive barking.    Can be Suspicious of Strangers: It's common for Mastiffs to be wary of strangers, but with proper socialization, they can learn to be more accepting.    If you are interested in Bear, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 6, 2025, 10:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER:  Tiny Tim “Tiny” PERSONALITY: Tiny can be on alert around people that are not regulars in the home however with some supervision and guidance he can warm up fast and become very loving. He has a bit of an “alpha” attitude and will occasionally have a low soft growl around small children. It is recommended he not be placed with any home that has pre teens or regular pack members that can over do it on attention. He is loyal and loving , he requires a lot of petting and attention. He does drool and will need help keeping his front legs cleaned often. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: He likes being around other regular pack members and will bark at anything he deems a threat including door bells. MEDICAL ISSUES: He may have allergies as his eyes often have a mucus build up in both eyes but he enjoys getting his eyes wiped. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: No pre teens or no homes with a immature personality as he does not like to be teased. A home with a lot of love to give because he cant get enough.
