Bailey is not just a dog; she's a big, beautiful bundle of love waiting to become a cherished member of your family. This gentle giant is estimated to be a delightful Mastiff mix, aged around 4-5 years and weighing approximately 70 lbs. Currently residing at a boarding facility, Bailey is eagerly looking for her forever home where she can share her affectionate heart with her perfect match. Personality:  Bailey is a people-loving canine with a heart as big as her paw prints. She adores human companionship and has a well-behaved demeanor that will surely melt your heart. This lovely lady seeks to be the sole dog in her new family, as she values one-on-one attention and doesn't have a desire for dog parks. Bailey's ideal day involves spending quality time with her family, chasing tennis balls, and indulging in the occasional ice cream cone treat. What Bailey Wants: Bailey's wishlist is simple - a loving adopter who is ready for all the doggy kisses she's been saving just for them! She thrives on companionship and is ready to fill your life with joy and loyalty. Her affectionate nature and good behavior make her the perfect addition to a home where she can be showered with love and attention.Don't miss the chance to make Bailey a permanent part of your life. Adopt today and let the adventures with this incredible canine companion begin! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Age:1 Weight: 118 Location: New Hope, PA Nicknames: Melly Good with other dogs?: Yes. Mel loves all friendly dogs and would benefit from a confident K9 companion. Good with cats? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with a cat Good with children? OK for kids over: 15 Activity Preference: Needs in-house activities, Up for a long hike any day., Low maintenance overall but needs quality outside time., Will go with the flow IQ: Smart Melody's favorite things: Mel loves snacks, taking walks with her people, learning what toys are, rolling in the grass ans sunshine. Melody is good at: meeting dogs, behaving in the house, walking on a leash Ideal home: another dog, quiet environment, someone at home most of the day, a fenced yard Training Needs: socialization with people Health issues: Healthy puppy on preventatives and Wellactin Meet Melody Mel was brought to a city shelter and was extremely fearful. She is doing much better and with the right home she will continue her confidence building. She is about a year old and house trained, great on a leash, loves other dogs and NEEDS a fenced in yard. We would prefer an adult only home as she is still afraid of loud noises and lots of commotion. A confident dog would be a big plus.   PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Please visit www.AmericanBulldogRescue.org to apply! Story
Odin is a pretty sweet dog, he likes to jump and sleep on furniture because he thinks he's human most days, which wasn't allowed in our home, but would make him the happiest pup in his new home. His only special need is that he doesn't like thunderstorms or fireworks, he gets very anxious with loud noises and we have a prescription for him to help keep him calm when a storm comes. No other special needs besides love, he's very lovey. He's also protective from afar, which has been great for me as a smaller woman, however, with his size, I was never really able to control him on the lease because he's stronger than I am, therefore he wasn't properly socialized and has never been to a dog park because I knew he would control me and not the other way around. He has lived with other dogs and children which was perfectly fine, and anyone who entered the house was safe also. It's just outside his home where I am unsure due to his strength and my lack of strength.

Story
Needing to rehome this sweet boy. Preferably in the purcellville or surrounding area (northern virginia). He’s a 4 yo mastiff (from Korea!). Neutered, super well trained. We have had him for a few years but have recently undergone multiple big life changes and it’s just not fair to him. He’s a super social and active boy- he would do best with a family/other dogs in the home. And some space, as he's 120 lbs. We would like to meet/see the home of the potential adopter before moving forward- he deserves the best home. Feel free to ask any questions- thanks so much.
