Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate Special Needs: None Physical Fence: Preferred / No Invisible Fences Nickname: Brock-Lobster Likes long walks, Sunbathing, Taste-Testing Arrival story: Brock was pulled from Detroit Animal Control Approximate age / Weight: 10-ish Years young, 95 LBS Hey guys - I’m so excited to meet you! I’m Brock! I’m about 10 years young, but my foster parents think I may be a bit younger. I love going for walks and am great on leash! I enjoy trotting around town checking out new spaces. I get bursts of energy throughout the day, so walks or playtime are needed so I can enjoy my best life. I’d probably enjoy adventuring, but I'm perfectly content to just lounge around. I love playing tug or chasing the ball outside or just relaxing and chewing on Benebones or other chews. Pigs ears and bully sticks are my absolute favorite. I’m also a bit of a foodie! I love trying new foods, but watch out! Sometimes I get over excited about treats and get a little too chompy, so watch your fingers. I love everyone I meet, but because of my size and energy around taking treats, I would do better in a home with teenagers or adults. I look forward to meeting you and hope I can become a special part of your family. Contact: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. Puppies (under 6 months) $250 + $50 refundable Spay/Neuter deposit + $50 refundable Training deposit. Story
Are you looking for a sweet and lovable cuddle bug? If so, look no further then Elizabeth Bennet! Elizabeth is a happy good who just wants to be in the mix. She is so excited to meet you, and every other person you know. Elizabeth would love to be your little shadow and follow you around, she would make a great companion to everyone she meets. She also loves to get up and show off her silly side, Elizabeth loves to run around and play with toys. She hopes her new home has space for her to play lots of fetch and allows her to run around and get the zoomies. Another one of this girls favorite things has to be snacks, you are sure to win her heart with a few tasty treats or a yummy chew. When meeting dogs here at the shelter Elizabeth appeared interested in making friends but could sometimes be a little nervous and unsure of herself. We strongly recommend she meets all resident dogs in the home before adoption to make sure she is a good fit for your family. She would likely do best with a calm and social dog who will read her cues and give her space when she asks for it. Does Elizabeth Bennet sound like the perfect addition to your family? Come down and meet her today!Elizabeth Bennet's ideal home:- strongly recommend meeting dogs

We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   May 3, 2024, 3:06 pm

Range is a sweet guy who loves everyone he meets. He's still learning about his new foster house and how to "listen" to his foster mom because he's deaf. He is learning hand signals and what each one means. He would need a calm home with no little kids or small dogs. 🌞 Approximately 2 years old, neutered male, Boxer/Great Pyrenees mix 🌞 60 lbs 🌞 UTD on vaccines, microchipped 🌞 Potty trained 🌞 Crate trained (but he hates it and will let everyone in a 50 mile radius know!). He does have crate anxiety and will try to get out of left alone to long. 🌞 Velcro dog and has to be his person at all times 🌞 DUE TO BEING DEAF, A FENCED YARD IS A MUST FOR RANGE 🌞 Does well with bigger dogs, with slow and proper introductions 🌞 Very food motivated 🌞 Is a counter surfer and will get any food left on it 🌞 Needs someone patient and caring to love himIf you'd like to adopt Range, go to www.newhopepetrescue.com/adopt to fill out an application. Please check out our adoption process & on-line application here: https://www.newhopepetrescue.com/Adoption Fee for dogs cover the following vetting:1. Story
Libby is a two-year-old Caucasian Shepherd that was found as a stray. She does have a permanent health condition that makes her Special Needs. We noticed right away that she has a strange gait and we were concerned, so she saw a specialist. The tests showed some undetermined neurological issues and arthritis, as well as dysplasia in all four limbs. This causes her to walk in a wobbly way. These things do not stop this determined, lovable girl ,though. She will &#194&#147run&#194&#148 around the yard and play with the kids, and chew on bones all day long. She is a very unique dog that will need a particular home to spend the rest of her life in. There are some specific requirements for her to safely walk aruond. Minimal stairs, and carpet or a lot of area rugs. The home will also need a gated yard with open access to the door, such as a sliding door, French doors, or a door that is not on a landing or down steps. Most importantly, she needs a home with all the love and kisses to give to her! Regular trips to the groomer Libby is great with kids and has been in her foster home for a few months with 9, 7, and 3 year old kids. She also is currently living with two other large breed dogs. She would likely do best in a home with non guardian breeds, and has not been around smaller dogs. She has only been around cats once that we know of, and she didn't seem like a huge fan of them. Libby is currently on an anti-inflammatory medication twice a day, potentially for the rest of her life, cost is around $60-$70 a month. She is a big girl and with that also comes lots of food. She eats about 7-8 cups of food a day, and the water bowl will always need refilling. Libby is just a big cuddly bear that needs all the love she can get. Please contact us if you have questions or would like an application to adopt. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**May 4, 2024, 10:17 pm
