📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story: Meet Leeju👋 She was found on the street in South Korea at just 2 months old and sent to a high-risk city shelter along with her four siblings. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and sent to her foster home 2 months later. Her foster family has been taking good care of her since, and she’s been living peacefully with the resident dog. LeeJu is now more than ready for a furever home! • Personality: Friendly, Curious, Cautious LeeJu is such a friendly and lovable pup with a curious and cautious personality. Her energy level is mid-low as she mostly chills in a kennel at home and prefers to have light walkies mainly for the bathroom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Super friendly with other dogs as long as they are not too large or aggressive. She doesn’t respond to barking dogs as well. She currently lives with a resident dog in her foster home, so she will be a good fit for a family with other furry companions. - Cats: Good with cats. - Adults/Kids: Good with both adults & kids. She is calm even when kids pet her. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly using the bathroom outdoors but sometimes indoors when she can’t go outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good. • Car Rides: Not anymore. She got better at car rides. Her foster tries to walk her for potty before jumping into the car. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Barks/Howls: A little bit towards continued noise from outside the house. • Appetite/Food Allergies: She likes any sort of food! / No food allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: She loves being petted on her face while snuggling up to your side! / She feels cold easily due to her short coat. • Health: Had surgery on both knees in 2021 and recovered fully. Now maintaining her weight is important. Otherwise, she’s healthy! 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Sadly, no one came looking for them, and a shelter is no place for a sweet puppy! Thankfully, their luck has changed. K-9 Lifesavers stepped in, and these pups are now safe and ready to find their respective forever homes. Caramel is a true Heinz 57 mix — but one thing we know for sure is that she is 100% adorable! This girl is very sweet, friendly, lovable, great with other dogs and good with kids. Her foster mom says that she is a great dog overall! She’s ready to put her rough start behind her and discover just how wonderful life with a family can be. She loves to cuddle, likes to play tug of war, and go on walks. She’s crate-trained, and she is well on her way to becoming house-trained. At her young age, Caramel is in her prime for training and socialization and ready to learn all the things that will help her grow into an amazing companion. With a little guidance, lots of love, and plenty of puppy adventures, she will make a fabulous addition to a loving home. Could Caramel be the missing piece of your family? Apply today and change this deserving gal’s life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet mama seeking her own humans!FRANCESCA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Francesca and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (9/6) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22305)!   Name: Francesca       Best Guess for Breed:  Miniature pinscher mix   Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of May 2026       SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:   24 pounds   Gets Along With: Other dogs!  We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations: Francesca is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but landed in a place where heartworm treatment is provided! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to discuss where in the treatment process this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left!   Francesca is Looking For:  Her forever home! She did an amazing job raising her six babies Felix, Fox, Freddy, Freda, FRan, and Frank to be great family pets. They're all off to seek their own humans and now Francesca is seeking her own humans to love and be loved by. She's in her prime as a young adult dog and is eager for long sniffy walks, romps, and all those wonderful adventures. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved, where she belongs. In exchange she promises loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Does Francesca have a spot in your home and your heart?   What My Foster Says About Me:  Francesca is shy out in the world, startled at sudden sounds and reluctant to say hello to people, but friendly with dogs we meet on our walks. In the house, she’s a completely different dog, loving and silly and affectionate. She follows me around the house and is always looking to cuddle with me, either on the couch or on the floor. She and my Chi/Min Pin Gracie love each other’s company both at home and on walks. She’s quite the mellow little girl, content to curl up on a chair or on the floor for most of the day. In the afternoon, she’ll go onto the deck to catch some rays. She takes well to the crate, but I can confidently leave her and Gracie to wander around the house when I leave.   When it’s time for walkies, she runs up to me, puts her little paws on my chest and covers me with kisses while I attach her collar. When I return, she’s waiting for me with tail wags and kisses. At night, she’ll sleep either in the crate or on the bed without incident. She doesn’t play much with toys, and doesn’t chew on anything inappropriate.     Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:    The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life!  Please visit us online at    www.luckydoganimalrescue.org   .    BE A FOSTER!!!    Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering, please contact    fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org   !
