Story
Meet Dawn: Your Future Best Friend Breed: Miniature Poodle Color: White & Red Weight: 15 lbs Age: Adult Gender: Female Personality: Gentle, shy, cautious, and sweet Her Story Dawn is a stunning 11-pound white and red Miniature Poodle who is officially starting her new life as a cherished companion. Dawn is a breeder release, meaning she spent her early years in a breeding environment and is completely new to the comforts of a traditional home. Walking on rugs, hearing the television, and realizing that humans are a source of endless affection are all brand-new experiences for her. Her Personality Dawn is a gentle, sensitive soul who carries herself with a lot of caution. Because her world used to be very small, she is naturally shy when meeting new people and entering unfamiliar spaces. She is not the type of dog to rush to the door to greet you just yet; instead, she prefers to observe quietly from a safe distance until she knows she is secure. Underneath her cautious exterior lies the intelligent, loving heart of a poodle. With a patient handler who uses soft words and gentle movements, Dawn will slowly let her guard down, revealing a deeply devoted companion who is eager to learn how to be a pampered pet. What Dawn Needs in a Home A Patient Adopter: Dawn needs a family that understands her background and won't rush her. She will thrive in a predictable, low-stress environment where she can explore her new life at her own comfortable pace. A Fenced-In Yard for Safety: For Dawn's safety, a secure, fenced-in backyard is highly preferred. Sudden noises or unfamiliar sights can easily startle her right now, so having a secure outdoor space where she can relax, sniff the grass, and master her potty training without the pressure of a leash is incredibly important. A Calm Household: A quieter, more serene home environmentideally without very young childrenwill provide the perfect sanctuary for Dawn to build up her confidence. Ready to Welcome Dawn Home? Dawn has spent her past giving to others, and now she is ready to receive the love, comfort, and security she so truly deserves. If you have a patient heart, a secure yard, and the love to help this beautiful red poodle bloom, Dawn is waiting to start her true forever chapter with you. Her adoption fee is 600 which includes rabies, current vaccines, microchip and spay. Story
Lainey is a beautiful mini poodle that was rejected from the breeder due to an umbilical hernia. These are normally cosmetic they're a small bulge where the belly button was and it protrudes which is easily fixed on our dime at the time of spay with our rescue vet. Believe us when we say she's well worth it! Lainey is a sensitive soul. She's just a baby that has been through changes in her enviornment and needs a little time to bounce back. She will reward you with her loyalty and lots of love as long as you give her the same. Lainey has a beautiful coat which will require regular grooming so be prepared for those costs when applying. Her adoption fee of 800 covers her certificate of health from the vet, current vaccines, microchip, her spay with the umbilical repair at our rescue vet. If you do adopt Lainey and use your vet for alter we will reimburse you 100 plus what our vet would charge us to do the repair. This must be done at an age appropriate time and we will have a contract in place at the time of adoption. If you think Lainey is the one for you please apply at thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com WI licence #506053 Please visit our website www.thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

His adoption fee is 400. Story
My name is Bubbles. I’m a 6 year old, 18 pound breeder release female mini poodle. Sweet as can be. I just want to be around my people. I’ve met cats, a few dogs, live around chickens and am fine with all of them. I haven’t been around small children much but I am so docile I’m sure I’d love them too. I’m good on a leash, enjoy my walks. So far, I’ve had no accidents in the house, but my foster family keeps me on a good schedule. I’m not a fan of the crate, but settle down after some crying and barking, seems to be getting better each day. At night I’ve been lucky to snuggle in bed with my foster family. Fenced in yard isn’t necessary, I just keep close by to my people and very good at recall. If you feel I’m right for you, I’d love to find my forever home. Just need some patience to allow me to settle in to a new change again. I’d like to enjoy life in a great home. If interested a $550 adoption fee is required through Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue. I’m being fostered in Cedarburg area and you can reach out to my foster mom at helgakeyser@gmail.com. Or apply at tinypawssmalldogrescue.com

Story
About Me: Name: Ash Breed (or best guess): Poodle Approximate Age: 4 years Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 10 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: patient family, another small dog and fenced potty area Why In Rescue: puppy mill survivor Profile:   Ash came from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who was no longer going to use him for breeding.  He came to us very scared but he is starting to open up and is learning how to play and be a dog.  He is starting to trust humans, but we haven't worked on leash walking yet.  He can learn to be a loving pet, but it will take time and patience.  If interested in him, please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website.   Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS June 16, 2026, 11:23 am
