Story
Cupcake is a 7-year-old, 15-pound male schnauzer mix from Texas! Cupcake is a gentle, playful, and smart pup.
He has adjusted very well during his time in the city. Cupcake enjoys burrowing into a pile of pillows, playing fetch, and snuggling up on the couch with his foster family. He is working on learning to “sit” on command and other obedience training. During his time with his foster family, he seems to be house trained.
Cupcake is working on leash skills. He is a great walker but is easily spooked by loud noises or people walking by. He is not aggressive or reactive, just timid and a little fearful of the action of the city. His forever family will need to continue working with Cupcake to reinforce and advance the progress he’s been making.
Cupcake has done well when left home alone during the day. After a morning walk, he likes to spend the day snoozing on the couch. He greets his foster parents with a smile and wagging tail when they return home.
He loves to be cozy with his foster family and can often be found with his favorite stuffed brown bear.
Cupcake is looking for a medium active family. He appreciates downtime and active moments. He doesn’t require long walks, but gets bursts of energy indoors and loves to play. He would do best as a solo dog, since he is timid around other dogs. Cupcake has not been exposed to children and although he is shy, we think he would do ok with kids if they can match his gentle nature.
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
