Northbrook, IL

Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,

Story

Chico is a sweet, sensitive boy who has already come so far! When he first arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender, he was extremely frightened and had never even been walked on a leash. With patience and kindness, Chico proved himself to be an incredibly fast and willing learner—within just one day, he began accepting the leash and going for walks! Chico can be shy when he first meets someone and may cower when he’s unsure, but once he realizes you’re safe and kind, he absolutely blossoms. ❤️ He becomes affectionate, enthusiastic, and so excited to be your friend. 🐶 He’s also very dog friendly! Chico thrived in foster care with three other dogs of different sizes—a large male, medium female, and small female—and has done wonderfully around other dogs. His foster has been showing him how much fun life can be! Chico has gone to the beach, walked around town, and even attended Bingo at a local establishment. He’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all, and now he’s ready for a patient, loving family to continue showing him just how good life can be. 💙

Story

Meet Bonnie & Clyde – Two Hearts, One Incredible Bond! 🐾❤️ These pups are being fostered in Mississippi, but included in your adoption fee is transport to you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport which is the most animal friendly transport on the road! Bonnie and Clyde are an adorable brother-and-sister duo (or at least that's what we believe!) who are approximately 8 months old and appear to be Lab/Terrier mixes. These two sweet pups were found wandering together, and it was obvious they hadn't had an easy time. Both were underweight and had cuts and scrapes on their legs, making us believe they had been out on their own for a while, doing whatever it took to survive. Through it all, they had one thing they could count on — each other. ❤️ Now safe and sound in a loving foster home, Bonnie and Clyde are getting a chance to enjoy the puppyhood they deserve. But one thing hasn't changed: these two are absolutely inseparable! They eat together, go outside to potty together, play together, and pretty much do EVERYTHING together. Where you find Bonnie, you'll find Clyde, and vice versa! We aren't sure what adventures these two shared before coming into rescue, but whatever they went through, they went through it together. Because of their incredibly special bond, our greatest wish is to find a family willing to adopt them together. They've already lost so much, and we would love nothing more than for them to spend the rest of their lives side by side, never having to worry about being alone again. Bonnie and Clyde are currently living in a foster home, where their foster mom is getting to know their personalities and daily routines. Interested in giving this dynamic duo their happily ever after? Please reach out to us! We would be happy to connect you directly with their foster mom, who can tell you more about these two sweethearts and help you decide if they would be a good fit for your family. Bonnie and Clyde survived the hard times together. Now we're hoping they can enjoy all the good times together, too. 🐾❤️ 💲 Adoption Fee: $600 for Both Bonnie and Clyde Your puppy's adoption fee includes: 🐶 Spay/neuter 💉 Age-appropriate vaccinations 🪱 Deworming ❤️ Current heartworm and flea prevention 📍 Microchip and 🚌 Transport to you

Bogart

English Pointer Mixed Breed (Medium)

Male, 8 yrs

Barrington Hills, IL

Size

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Details

Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,

Story

Bogart is a sweet senior, an English Pointer Mix, estimated at 8-9 years old, weighing 55 lbs. Sadly Bogart had been found tied to a post on a desolate country road, left to die, abandoned and alone. No dog deserves to end up this way, especially a sweet, gentle senior. In spite of his past neglect and trauma, Bogart trusts people and just wants to be loved. This precious boy is calm, gentle, cuddly and sweet. He loves people and wants to be with his people at all times. He loves belly rubs and enjoys going for walks. He also likes relaxing in the secure, fenced yard at his foster home. In his foster home, he enjoys the companionship of a couple of other dogs who are his size. But does prefer people, being with them, cuddling with them, and always eager to please them. Bogart is eager to learn and eager to please. Bogart likes to sleep on his fosters’ bed at night, to be close to them. We want to find him a forever family willing to provide him such attention and companionship. Bogart needs a forever family wherein someone is home most of the time. He can become very anxious when no one is around / when he is left home alone. Another dog in the home is helpful but he will need to learn that if gone, his people will be returning to be with him. He would also enjoy a secure, fenced yard. (No underground fences, please) Although a bit older, Bogart is in good overall physical shape. However he came to us with a previous eye injury leaving him blind in his right eye. His eye does not appear to bother him or cause him any pain. It definitely does not impede his overall vision. Bogart has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative and on year-round heart worm prevention, is neutered and micro-chipped If you are interested in opening your heart and home to this special pup, please reach out to BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895 for more information on adoption. Note that BAARK is located in the NW suburbs of Chicago and adopts local to the Chicago area.

Billie

Pointer Australian Shepherd

Female, 7 yrs

Barrington Hills, IL

Size

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Details

Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,

Story

Billie is an adorable young mix, thought to be a Pointer/Aussie/Lab mix. She’s about 44 lbs, a bit on the lean side currently. And estimated at 4 years old. Billie joined us from a very horrible neglectful situation. She along with eight other dogs was rescued from a trailer, after the owner of the trailer was taken to a mental health facility. All dogs were starved; two were starved to death. Billie was one of the survivors, but barely so. She was skin and bones when joining our rescue program….and a look of hopelessness filled her eyes. During the last several weeks that Billie has been in her BAARK foster home, she has made notable progress, gaining weight, looking better, feeling more confident, and showing us some pep in her step! She’s even starting to play with other dogs. An ideal home and family for Billie is one who can understand her past and give her the time and space she needs to continue to build her confidence, and blossom into a loving, playful girl that she deserves to be. Good nutrition is very important given her past. Billie obviously is good with other dogs but the preferred home for Billie would be as an only dog, or with another calm friendly dog. She’d love a secure fenced yard where she could run, play, and exercise. She is scared of quick movements at this time, so smaller children would likely be overwhelming to her; older children should be fine. If you would like to consider Billie for a member of your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. Note that BAARK is located in the NW Suburbs of Chicago and adopts local to our area.
