Story
Brandy is a sweet and cuddly spayed female mutt that we adopted 6.5 years ago. She is 8 years old now, and a small/medium size at 20 pounds. We have loved her and she has loved us but our home is no longer a suitable place for her now that we have a small child who makes her nervous. She is a low maintenance dog who is healthy, house trained, loves pets and walks, and sleeps most of the day, but she does have anxiety and barks nervously around new people and new dogs (but has done well in boarding/doggy daycare situations). She cannot live with small children or cats. We are heartbroken that after a year, Brandy still has not taken to our baby. We are looking to find her a home where she will be loved, safe, comfortable, and happy.

Story
We rescued Astro about 2 years ago and he’s been with us ever since. He’s a loving dog who’s Potty trained & crate trained. He’s an anxious “old soul” so he does get scared of loud noises at times. He Loves to cuddle and sleep on you and will do best with someone who lets him on the couch at times but he knows now to go on unless you tell him to. He Loves to run around when in a yard or park and does well with other dogs. He is more scared than confident because of his past and he just needs a lot of love that can continue to help him with his insecurities. He’s so loving and very smart. He’s not aggressive at all, and loves to lay with you. He’s very shy with people at first but gets comfortable after a while. He does well with other dogs. Because of my recent pregnancy and move we will need to find a new home who can give Astro the attention and love he deserves. He is the sweetest dog ever, please help us find his new family.

Story
We took on this dog as a foster in hopes she would be a good fit. Unfortunately, we are not around as often as we would like to train her. She is only about a year old, she is great with other dogs. She seems to have anxiety issue since we got her. She has been around children since we have had her and she has been great. She has not shown any aggression towards anyone. When we got her we had to teach her to play as she had no idea what that wad. She is a goofy and overall had been good. But I believe she really needs a home that can give her more attention. When she first meets you she wants to run. We still have to approach her with kindness because she does seem scared. That’s been our biggest struggle. We hope we can find someone with love a patience for her.

Story
Meet Lady: a beautiful two-year-old soul with a resilient spirit. Lady wound up at her town's local animal shelter not once, not twice, but three times throughout her short little life. With each shelter stay, Lady's fate hung in the balance, her future uncertain. But five minutes before the world went dark for her, fate intervened! Lady's story is one of perseverance, a testament to the indomitable spirit that resides in rescue dogs. With each return to the shelter, Lady clung to the hope that one day, her forever family would come for her. But time stretched on, and as she watched her kennel companions find their homes, Lady's hope began to waver. She wondered if her family would ever come; if the love she longed to give would forever remain unclaimed. From Lady's perspective, the days blurred together, a montage of waiting and wondering. She yearned for the gentle touch of a hand, the warmth of a loving gaze, and the sound of a family's laughter. No matter how much doubt crept into her heart, she clung to the belief that somewhere out there, her family existed. She held onto that glimmer of hope, the flicker of a dream that refused to be extinguished. And then, in June of 2022, Lady's life took a turn for the better. "The Pitty Committee" whisked her away from the shelter, ensuring that she would never face the threat of euthanasia again. From that moment on, Lady found herself in the serene atmosphere of South Lake Tahoe, where she has flourished under the loving care of her wonderful Foster Mama, Hailey! But, although Lady is safe from a dreaded shelter environment, her journey remains incomplete. She still waits for her forever family to find her.

Lady is more than just a dog; she's a lake-loving adventurer, a spirited soul who thrives on the joys of nature. She yearns for an active family, who will embrace her love for swimming, running, and frolicking in the sun and snow. Lady's heart knows no bounds when it comes to people of all ages. She adores children, and her boundless energy makes her the perfect playmate. She's a fetch aficionado, and her dock-jumping skills are nothing short of astounding. But what sets Lady apart is her unwavering loyalty, her eagerness to please, and her ability to melt your heart with a single glance. This beautiful girl has come a long way since leaving the shelter. She's crate trained, muzzle trained, and she listens to commands with a heart full of eagerness to please. She's not just a dog; she's a testament to the power of love and resilience. A promise of boundless joy to the family that opens their heart to her. Don't let Lady's story remain incomplete. She's been waiting and hoping for quite some time; she deserves a forever family to call her own. We ask that you consider Lady as the missing piece in your life, the companion who will make every moment brighter, and the love that will fill your heart. Complete your life with a furry friend who knows the true meaning of hope, love, and the promise of a forever home. Lady is waiting, and her love is worth the journey. Don't let her wait any longer; make her a part of your family, and create a story of love and happiness that will last a lifetime. Adopt Lady, and change both your lives forever! ♥
