Story
Kuiper is a very sweet dog that thinks she is actually a cat. No amount of explanation will convince her otherwise. She loves to cuddle and play with cats and adult humans. She was not introduced to children until she was an adult dog and so she is very confrontational with humans that are under approximately 10 years old. Kuiper’s owners are expecting their first child and need to find her a new home away from scary children!

Story
I adopted Jax almost 7 years ago when he was 11weeks old at an adoption event. He has always been an anxious little one, but now that I am caring for him alone full time, I do not think my work schedule is working for him. I’m a Nurse practitioner with long days, and nothing that I am doing seems to be helping with his separation anxiety, and I dont want to medicate him daily, so I think he’d do better with someone who either works from Home or has a more flexible schedule than I do. This pains me to write, as he is SUCH a good, loving and obedient boy and i love him so much. He’s good with kids and isn’t around other dogs much, but has done well when he has been in the past. House trained, but the separation anxiety affects that when i’m not Home. Not at all destructive. Truly a great dog who may need more time than i have to give right now. :(

Story
It breaks my heart to make this post, but after a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to begin looking for the perfect forever home for my deaf dog, Rex. I’ve had Rex for about 6 years, since he was just a puppy. We’ve been through so much together, including moving to Philadelphia, but I’ve come to realize that my current lifestyle just isn’t what’s best for him. I work night shift as a nurse, and apartment living in the city has been hard on him. He clearly misses having a quiet environment and a yard where he can explore freely. This decision is entirely about giving him the happiest life possible. About Rex: * Deaf since birth (likely double Merle) * Neutered * Up to date on all vaccines and preventatives * Chicken allergy * Takes daily fluoxetine (Prozac) for anxiety * House trained * Loves people and is always excited to make new friends * Can live with other dogs, but they need to be patient since he can’t pick up on many canine social cues due to his deafness

Story
Artie is lovable, energetic and a beautiful 2 year-old black/white mix breed dog. He would be happiest in an environment that has a fenced in yard to play freely outdoors. I live in a small home on a very busy public street where there is a lot of traffic. Artie does not have access to open space, and must be on leash whenever outside. He is friendly, loves belly rubs, and gets very happy when he greets people. I adopted Artie from Providence Animal Shelter at 3 months old. Artie has been professionally trained, is smart, learns quickly and responds to positive reinforcement. He walks well around town on a gentle lead leash. He is sweet with babies, and is used to being around other dogs. Artie weighs 63 pounds; he is tall, very strong and full of muscle. I struggle with osteoarthritis, especially in my hands, and am having difficulty managing Artie’s strength and size. Artie deserves a home environment where he can play outdoors and be a loyal, loving member of a family.

Story
Meet Your New Best Friend! 🐾This handsome boy is a smart, affectionate pup who's looking for the right forever home. He's crate trained, eager to learn, and picks up new things quickly. While he isn't fully house trained yet, he's making progress and will thrive with a consistent routine and a little patience. He has a calm personality but still enjoys the typical puppy fun—playtime, bursts of energy, and the occasional puppy nipping as he continues to learn good manners. To help him be his happiest and most successful, he's looking for an adult-only home with no children and no other small pets such as small dogs, cats, birds, or other small animals. He'll do best with a confident handler with some prior dog experience who can continue his training, provide structure, and give him the love and attention he deserves. If you're looking for a loyal companion with lots of potential and are ready to help a wonderful puppy grow into an amazing dog, he just might be your perfect match.

Story
Bluey is a 2 year old (5/11) mixed breed dog who was named after her one blue eye. She is about 40-45lbs. She was rescued from home at last in January where we were told she was found in a shelter in the south. She is the sweetest, most lovable girl. A Velcro dog who wants constant pets and cuddles. She listens well and is eager to learn. She loves squeaky tennis balls and bones to chew. She is crate trained and will sometimes go in voluntarily if she needs space. Bluey has been in a home with another dog. They play well together but have gotten in a few fights over bones/food. Bluey needs to be in a home without children. She fears them, is uncomfortable around them, and has shown aggression towards children when scared or provoked. She did bite my daughter when my daughter pushed her away from food, which is why we need to re-home her. We are absolutely heart broken. She truly is such a good girl. Please give her a second chance. She just can’t be with kids.
