Story
Luna has been part of our family for six years and is about 8 years old. She is a great dog, house trained, loves walks, rarely barks or howls, frankly almost never. She is great with kids, as we have small children. Great with cats, we have two. She has been boarded before and has no issues being around other dogs. Her only negative tendency is she becomes protective if she is given a bone. Over the past couple of years our life has changed drastically however and we simply do not have the time to give her the quality of life she previously had with us. We've wrestled with the decision but are looking for someone who can dedicate more time to her, especially long walks. We are only willing to give Luna to a new owner if they will be able to offer her a better life. She has so much love to give and loves getting pets and going on long walks. Our available time is not what it used to be.

Meet Fable: Fable is a one year old (as of October 2024) plott hound mix (best guess) that weighs 36 pounds. This rootin tootin cowboy litter of 3 (Farley, Farris and Fable) are sure to steal some hearts! These cuties were found abandoned in a rural area and luckily made it to our rescue. Fable is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Fable is a sweet, playful handsome boy that is looking for his very own family! To put it simply, Fable is a big love bug! He just wants to be with his person and that’s what makes him happiest! Fable loves playing with toys and exploring around the dog yard. In the play yard he avoids rough play with the other foster dogs and likes to hang with the easy going ones. Fable has a gentle spirit and lots of love to give! Fable is working on his house training. We would love for Fable to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely! Xena is a 3-year-old Plott Hound mix weighing 52 pounds. A delightful girl, she came to us from a family who didn't want her or her ten puppy litter. How sad! But of course that's where we came in. Xena's foster says she is sweet, affectionate, playful, great with other dogs and very food motivated. (Better keep a box of bones around the house!) This girl who has been treated for heartworm would make a great addition to your family!
