Story
Meet Banjo! Banjo is a 5 year old Plott Hound mix weighing about 65 pounds. He is a beautiful boy with his brindle coat and white chest and markings and he has the most expressive face. Banjo is a sweetheart and a fragile soul that likes to be told he is a good boy and he just wants to please. Banjo loves to be active and is a high energy dog. He enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, and playing. Most of all, Banjo enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch. Banjo struggles with confidence and anxiety issues, but has been working on these things with a trainer and will do wonderfully in the right home while continuing his hard work and with an adopter that is knowledgeable with anxious dogs. Banjo is reactive to new situations and he is learning to come out of his shell and be more engaged in the world and not so selective and nervous around strangers. Banjo is also very food motivated! Banjo is well versed in obedience training and knows sit, crawl, down, stay, bed, speak, and roll over. He is muzzle trained, house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Banjo will not chew on bones or play with toys and his fosters are working on getting him to learn what toys are. Banjo would be best in a home with a single person or couple. Banjo gets along with other dogs when introduced slowly, he will play with them, and could do well in a home with multiple dogs but needs the proper iand slow introduction with an experinced dog owner. Banjo would prefer a home with no children and likes women more than men. Banjo requires a fenced in yard and an active adopter. If you are interested in adopting Banjo, please go to our website at charliescrusaders.org and fill out our adoption application.  ##386437##

Story
Meet Fable: Fable is a 9 month old (as of February 2024) plott hound mix (best guess) that weighs 36 pounds. This rootin tootin cowboy litter of 3 (Farley, Farris and Fable) are sure to steal some hearts! These cuties were found abandoned in a rural area and luckily made it to our rescue. Fable is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Fable is a sweet, playful handsome boy that is looking for his very own family! To put it simply, Fable is a big love bug! He just wants to be with his person and that’s what makes him happiest! Fable loves playing with toys and exploring around the dog yard. In the play yard he avoids rough play with the other foster dogs and likes to hang with the easy going ones. Fable has a gentle spirit and lots of love to give! Fable is working on his house training. We would love for Fable to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely! Fable is up to date on his shots and neutered. If you are interested in adopting this cute cowboy, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. ##1807994##

Story
Nubby (first known to our rescue as Domino) is hoping he’ll be someone’s FUREVER Valentine this year ♥ Nubby was surrendered back to our care after his home caught fire, and family’s housing situation changed. Nubby likes to be low-key. He is the perfect companion for someone looking for a dog that will snuggle with them on the sofa as he is an expert. Nubby would love a quiet home (respectful or older children, no hyperactive dogs). A home that has a large fenced-in yard would be ideal, although not a must-have for this boy. Nubby is overall very low maintenance as long as his furever home is quiet. He is a very social dog and loves being around people. One of Nubby's cutest features is his nubby tail he wags every time he sees someone. He loves car rides and is happy to go wherever his new family would take  him. www.mostlymuttz.org Great with cats, dogs Requires fenced in yard 43 lbs Domino is being fostered in Springfield (Delaware County), Pennsylvania). #handsomesenior #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #rescuedismyfavoritebreed  If you are interested in adopting Nubby and would like to provide the loving home this boy deserves, please contact Mostly Muttz! You can apply at https://www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. Diane is such a beautiful, sweet girl with an ideal, gentle spirit about her. She can be a little on the shy side at first meet, but that doesn’t last long and she opens up. Diane is a calm girl overall, but does get her zoomies on from time to time.  She walks nicely on a leash without pulling. We are looking for a home with children 10+ since she has been scared of very young children. Story
Meet Holly. Holly came to us from an Alabama shelter very pregnant. She had her pups and they are now weaned. Holly is very friendly and social. We believe she is some sort of hound mix about 3 years old. Holly weighs about 45 lbs. She does well with other dogs in her foster home. Holly is a very sweet girl that will need a home with a securely fenced in yard or someone that will keep her on a leash. Holly is scheduled to be spayed on March 20, 2024 and will be ready for adoption. She is also a candidate for foster to adopt if you are within an hour of the rescue. Holly is now up to date with vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting Holly,  please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.  ##1915154##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mika arrived from Puerto Rico with her travel companions, and we are delighted to have this bundle of happiness.   Mika is a Sato dog which is a street or beach dog from Puerto Rico. The Sato refers to a variety of small to medium-sized stray dog. Satos are similar in appearance to small Pointers or Terriers. These free-ranging dogs are known to make excellent family pets. Unlike other feral dogs, the Satos have a small territory, and many are always in contact with people.  Mika was referred to as a Labrador/Plott Hound mix by the veterinarians who vetted her in Puerto Rico. Whatever she is, she sure is sweet. Mika is described by the folks who cared for her at Punta Santiago who rescued her as "amazing with dogs of all sizes, super people friendly, and having no food aggression." She is very happy and friendly and will make a perfect lap dog for some lucky family. Mika is approximately a year old and cat tolerant with supervision. We are looking for an adoptive family or foster home. Mika's adoption fee is $500.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 6, 2024, 3:37 pm
