I adopted Monty during Covid in Baton Rouge, LA. At the time, I was in college and have since moved to Dallas for work. I am unable to take care of her with my busy schedule so she stayed in Louisiana with my dad. She's a super loving and sweet dog, but I no longer want to put responsibility on my dad.

I got rukia from a shelter in Dallas about 8 months ago in November. She was also about 8 months old. Rukia was at the shelter for 3 months prior, however I’m not aware of her history before the shelter. She is about 18 months now weighing about 38 pounds. She’s not going to get any bigger. Super friendly dog, however she’s very very anxious, timid & very clingy. Living with 0 aggression. But she can be very shy and just has a very soft but timid scared nature. She needs affection pretty much 24 hours a day. Very smart , good listener

Lola was rescued from a local shelter and now her owner has to give her up to no fault of her own. She is a gorgeous, sweet girl. She is great with small dogs and seems a bit timid with large dogs but we think she would be fine in time as she gets to know them. She is obedient and aims to please. She is about 9 months old, Jan. 2024, and weighs 50 lbs. ##1623586##

While visiting in rural Arkansas, the finders for Nori noticed Momma Ivy being neglected by her owners - malnourished, no water and 5 little babies out in the dirt. They couold not leave her and them in those conditions to starve/die. With great intentions and no plan, they scopped them up and brought them to Dallas. The finder reached out to Cody's for help. The puppies were weaned now so another rescue group took them and we took Ivy. She is now safe at our foster's home. She is so pretty and sweet. She is being taught to walk on a leash and is a fast learner. Ivy comes when you whistle and will sit on command with treat encouragement. She is wonderful with the finder's 4 year old son. She is great with other dogs and is not high energy but loves to play with them. She is a bit shy at first when meeting new people but will warm up when shown affection and kindness. She would be best with a playful dog who is not over the top. She has a beautiful blonde brindle. She weighs 30ish lbs. She is learning to sleep in a crate but would love to be on a bed or her bed out with her people for security. ##2774592##

This is Tinkerbell! She will be 6 months old on July 23rd. Her mom was a rescued stray and later found out she was pregnant and had 7 puppies! I chose Tinkerbell because of her coloring. I thought bringing into our home would be a positive addition. I have realized that since bringing into our home with my two young kids it is not a good fit. I do not have the extra time to give Tinkerbell the attention and training that she needs and deserves. I work full time and two young kids to take care of. She is a puppy, so she does like to play, and my two young kids are just not into that. She knows sit and shake and is being crate trained. We are working on potty training, but she does still have accidents since it is hard for me to keep an eye on her with two young kids in the house as well.
