Vera is the definition of a gentle soul. She carries a calm, steady presence and a softness that you feel the moment you meet her. While she may be shy at first, it’s simply because she’s still learning that the world can be kind. Give her a little time to settle in, and she blossoms into the easiest, sweetest girl. A more rural setting would be her dream — somewhere quiet where she can walk without too much commotion. She walks beautifully on leash in calm areas and absolutely loves being outside, soaking in the fresh air. She prefers dogs her own size and would truly benefit from having another steady, laid back dog in the home to help her continue building trust. She is ultimately submissive and very respectful with other dogs. Due to some prey drive, she is not suited for a home with small animals. Vera’s stunning white and silver coat, accented with soft gray ears and delicate spots, matches her personality — understated, elegant, and quietly beautiful. She is both house trained and crate trained, and she appreciates the security of her own quiet space to enjoy high value treats like special bones. Vera does prefer to eat alone so she doesn’t have to worry, and she thrives in a peaceful home environment.  She isn’t the loudest dog in the room. She won’t demand the spotlight. But for the person willing to give her patience and reassurance, Vera will give you something incredibly special: quiet loyalty, soft companionship, and a heart that chooses you every single day. Chip is practically a pro at fetch already and he is going to be OBSESSED when he grows up. He’s an active little guy who loves his toys. He’s quite good at keeping himself entertained. If you’d rather throw the ball in the yard or go to agility class instead of walks, he’s the pup for you! His favorite place to be is on top of you. Napping on the couch next to you is an acceptable alternative in his opinion. He hasn’t met many people or dogs so he’s still a little shy but he’s getting braver every day. Especially if that new friend happens to have a tennis ball or frisbee! He cries a little bit when he goes into the crate but quickly settles down and is comfortable hanging out by himself in there. He learned to go potty outside in just 2 days and will throw himself at the door to let you know he wants out. He would probably learn to ring a bell to go out just as fast. His only accidents now are if you don’t make it to the door in time.
