Story
June is a mellow loving dog. shaynesrescue.com is how to apply to adopt Here are two You tubes of June https://youtube.com/shorts/HnXGgtx_j7E?feature=share https://youtu.be/_7hEOP3mERc We think she could be Pointer or maybe even some Catahoula? Hard to say! She is in Foster in Tumwater, WA. Yes if you allow her to, she loves to sleep in the 'fur'niture, but she is also very content on a comfy dog bed. She really loves dog beds. She is amazing. She is calm and easy going making her the perfect pet . Yes if you live an apartment, she will likely take some time to get used to all the noises/commotion, as she is used to a rural life, but she will get used it, all of our dogs do. If you are someone who is busy in life, understandably and do not want a demaning high energy time consuming addition she is easy and calm. She has not shown any tendencies to destroy anything and has never had any potty accidents. She does potty on the leash (hey that is a huge for a dog from Texas lol) . Would recommend her for a mellower home, not a busy home with young children, as we haven't had her around young children. She seems to for now prefer slower intros to new people/dogs only because she is cautious but it has always gone fine. No she is mellow so a young playful dog is not a good match for her. She is fine with smaller dogs, in fact not so cautious with them, just needs to be around dogs who wont demand she play as that is not her preference. However, over time she might want to play with another dog, right now she just prefers to just hang out (and her dog beds, OMG she LOVES dog beds, even outside on the patio! Here is a u tube of her with a cat! https://www.youtube.com/shorts/IQym9RhsBXs Here is another u tube of her! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyKyBRAnP6s We have a 5 day trial you an ask about how that works. Please apply at shaynesrescue.com We guess with adult supervision as we ALWAYS say with children she should be fine, but no we have not kid tested her because we do not have children.

Story
Hi, I am Nikki! I am the perfect age to bring fun and love into your home. I still have plenty of playful energy. I love running, playing, and trips to the beach, but I also know when it is time to be calm, cuddly, and sweet. I get along well with other dogs and would love a canine friend, though cats are not really my thing. Kids are great too, especially older ones, but sometimes I get excited and jump up. My dream home would be with an active family that enjoys walks, runs, or beach days. Afterward, I will happily snuggle up with you.If you want a playful dog to be by your side then I am yout girl. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Name: Taki Age: 2 years Sex: Neutered male Breed: Pointer mix Color: White & Black Weight: 16 kg Height (shoulder): 57 cm   Rescue Story Taki entered a municipal shelter in December 2025, wearing a collar, which suggests he may have been abandoned. He was rescued just before euthanasia and transferred to our care in March.   ‍‍ With People Taki is an affectionate and social boy who loves being around people. He happily approaches both familiar and new people, leaning in for pets and attention. He is comfortable being handled and can be picked up by placing arms under his belly. Once he bonds with you, he will even roll over to show his belly.   With Other Dogs Taki is friendly and eager to interact with other dogs. He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and invite them to play. If other dogs don’t engage, he may bark to express his desire to join in. He tends to be more comfortable with dogs of similar or smaller size and will avoid overly energetic or confrontational dogs. While he enjoys playing with dogs, he generally prefers people over other dogs when given the choice.   With Cats When he sees cats during walks, he shows curiosity but can be redirected easily and follows his handler well. Cat testing is available upon request.   Energy Level Taki has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but he settles down nicely afterward. He loves to play, but his stamina is not very high—he often lies down to rest during play sessions.   ‍ Walks Taki is curious and enjoys sniffing, so he tends to move side to side during walks. He may pull occasionally when excited, and he is currently learning to walk calmly beside his handler.   Other Notes   Not possessive over food with people or dogs, but has a strong appetite and may try to take others’ food May show mild separation-related barking at first, but settles down after a while Uses barking to express wants, especially toward other dogs during play Very responsive and perceptive—he reads human emotions well and quickly understands boundaries Calm and quiet in a kennel Rides well in a crate and gets in and out of the car on his own Currently does outdoor potty   Personality Taki is a simple, pure-hearted, and joyful dog who brings warmth and happiness to those around him. His innocent and loving nature makes him incredibly endearing. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Story
MEET SWEET LUKE! Luke is a happy & lovable 4-1/2-year-old Pointer/Pit/Boxer/Lab mix in need of a foster or forever home! He had been adopted, but his owner died, and so he went back into our rescue. Luke is currently in Washington and ready to meet! He has a wonderful disposition: He gets along great with other dogs and is very loving and affectionate to his people. He also loves to fetch balls and bring them back to you. Luke also isn't a big barker, unless someone barks at him. He walks well on a leash, and is a strong boy. He doesn't shed much! Luke also loves treats and is very treat motivated. He has done well with some cats but not others. He was rescued from a California shelter originally after he became urgent for lack of space. While there, he was kenneled with another female dog and did great. He's been tested with numerous dogs and has done well with everyone. He's a loving, easygoing boy who needs a home! Luke currently weighs about 60 lbs. Please email for an application.
