Story
Pecas is a dog rescued from the streets of Mexico. He's almost six years old and the eighth of a litter rescued along with his mother. Pecas is a very loving, intelligent, and protective dog. He loves walks and runs and is obedient, but he needs experienced people. Pecas lives indoors but knows how to relieve himself outside and will let you know when he needs to. Although he appears to be getting along with other dogs in photos, if Pecas is overstimulated or hears a dog crying, his hunting instinct will kick in and there's no way to stop him. Therefore, it's best if he goes to a home without other dogs or animals. He has also been around children on occasion without problems, but it's not common since there are no children in my house. I would prefer a home without young children, perhaps with teenagers (15 years and older). Pecas will have a slow adjustment period to a new home, so patience and experience are needed.

Story
Hi, I’m Rocco,I’m so happy you’re checking out my page, I can’t wait to find my forever home and share all my unconditional love. I live with both dogs and cats and get along great with everyone. I’m house-trained, walk nicely on a leash, and love to play. Even though I’m a senior, I still have plenty of energy and I also knowing how to be calm and relaxed. Running is my favorite activity, so if you’re a jogger or active walker, we’ll be a perfect match. Just one not; I think tennis shoes are toys. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Story
Hi, I'm Hutch--a gentle soul with a sneaky streak! I'm shy at first, especially around big dogs, but once I warm up, I'm playful and curious. I love cuddles, short walks, and playing with dogs my size. I live with cats (I ignore them) and spend my days moving between the house and the yard. I'm house-trained, know basic commands, and walk great on a leash. I'll steal your socks just to hide them (don't worry--I give them back). If you're patient, kind, and enjoy quiet company with a side of mischief, I'm your guy! This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Story
Hi, I'm Nikki! I'm the perfect age to bring fun and love into your home. I still have plenty of playful energy - I love running, playing, and trips to the beach - but I also know when it's time to be calm, cuddly, and sweet. I get along well with other dogs and would love a canine friend, though cats aren't really my thing. Kids are great too, especially older ones, but sometimes I get excited and jump up. My dream home would be with an active family that enjoys walks, runs, or beach days. Afterward, I'll happily snuggle up with you. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Story
MEET LITTLE DUDE & PRINCE! This very unusual bonded pair of seniors lost their home in 2022, when the landlord said they had to go, for no fault of their own. They need a foster or forever home and have patiently waited for some wonderful person or people to adopt them. Little Dude is an 11-year-old pointer/pit mix, sweet as can be. He weighs about 60 lbs. Prince is a 14-year-old Pomeranian mix, and he is good with other dogs, though he is starting to get dementia. Prince weighs about 25 lbs. They are both people friendly, but Little Dude only wants to be with Prince -- so they need a home together as the only pets if possible. They are gentle, loving dogs who deserve a second chance in life with people who will love them through the rest of their years. They really need a home now! They are in good health and happy, and would do well with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. Please email for an application. We are looking for a foster or forever home for this wonderful pair.

Story
foster, Ginger is once again finding her footing. These careful steps have been essential for About this special girl: • Ginger does not do well with small dogs or animals (no cats). Her prey drive is real, and she will chase. • She can do well with larger male dogs, with slow introductions and in the hands of a knowledgeable, patient GSP family. • She is deeply people-oriented and will become your shadow in no time. • She shows some resource guarding around food with other dogs, though she is comfortable being pet while eating. Ginger loves food and is very food-motivated. Her vet believes this enthusiasm — and guarding — may stem from a time when she lived outside and was underfed or inconsistently fed. • Her arthritis and incontinence are being managed with medication and daily supplements, and despite it all, she still has so much life and joy in her. • She is housebroken, enjoys easy walks, car rides, and long naps — the simple pleasures that make life sweet. Ginger is a sweetheart who spent far too long in the wrong hands. Now, she deserves the very best we can give her — a home that will meet her needs with patience, kindness, and understanding. A home where she will finally be cherished and treated like the princess she truly is. If you are seriously interested in adopting Ginger, please fill out an application here: 👉 https://junosden.org/adoption-app We will first consider adopters located in Washington, as this will be easier on Ginger and less challenging logistically — but we will absolutely consider out-of-state adopters as well. Thank you for caring about Ginger and for helping us get her one step closer to the loving home she has always deserved. 💛
