Story
Hi, I am Nikki! I am the perfect age to bring fun and love into your home. I still have plenty of playful energy. I love running, playing, and trips to the beach, but I also know when it is time to be calm, cuddly, and sweet. I get along well with other dogs and would love a canine friend, though cats are not really my thing. Kids are great too, especially older ones, but sometimes I get excited and jump up. My dream home would be with an active family that enjoys walks, runs, or beach days. Afterward, I will happily snuggle up with you.If you want a playful dog to be by your side then I am yout girl. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Name: Taki Age: 2 years Sex: Neutered male Breed: Pointer mix Color: White & Black Weight: 16 kg Height (shoulder): 57 cm   Rescue Story Taki entered a municipal shelter in December 2025, wearing a collar, which suggests he may have been abandoned. He was rescued just before euthanasia and transferred to our care in March.   ‍‍ With People Taki is an affectionate and social boy who loves being around people. He happily approaches both familiar and new people, leaning in for pets and attention. He is comfortable being handled and can be picked up by placing arms under his belly. Once he bonds with you, he will even roll over to show his belly.   With Other Dogs Taki is friendly and eager to interact with other dogs. He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and invite them to play. If other dogs don’t engage, he may bark to express his desire to join in. He tends to be more comfortable with dogs of similar or smaller size and will avoid overly energetic or confrontational dogs. While he enjoys playing with dogs, he generally prefers people over other dogs when given the choice.   With Cats When he sees cats during walks, he shows curiosity but can be redirected easily and follows his handler well. Cat testing is available upon request.   Energy Level Taki has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but he settles down nicely afterward. He loves to play, but his stamina is not very high—he often lies down to rest during play sessions.   ‍ Walks Taki is curious and enjoys sniffing, so he tends to move side to side during walks. He may pull occasionally when excited, and he is currently learning to walk calmly beside his handler.   Other Notes   Not possessive over food with people or dogs, but has a strong appetite and may try to take others’ food May show mild separation-related barking at first, but settles down after a while Uses barking to express wants, especially toward other dogs during play Very responsive and perceptive—he reads human emotions well and quickly understands boundaries Calm and quiet in a kennel Rides well in a crate and gets in and out of the car on his own Currently does outdoor potty   Personality Taki is a simple, pure-hearted, and joyful dog who brings warmth and happiness to those around him. His innocent and loving nature makes him incredibly endearing. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. SHEILA is a wonderful 2yo female dog. She is a German Pointer/Spaniel mix. She weighs 47#s but is not very tall…kind of average. She is sweet, loving, affectionate, and just easy to get along with. My neighbor called her "a big, goofy, friendly type" as he scratched her back and got snuggles from her. She’s a little strong on the leash but she loves to go places, ride in the car and has no aggressiveness at all. We watch her play tug-or-war with one of dogs who is half her size. She just lays out on her stomach and looks like a sled and the other dogs pulls her through the house. It's hilarious! She is house trained; will stay in a kennel; loves to go outside, run and play gets along with all my dogs and my 4 cats. I deal with a lot of dogs but every now and then I find special dogs…dogs that make great family pets. She is one of those. Her past history included lots of children in the neighborhood. She doesn’t chew on things; doesn’t dig; doesn’t climb. Since we have had her we have taught her not to jump on people. That was her only fault and she’s doing great now. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/2Mc0uLNHGKE This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. Story
Marvin is a sweet and noble dog, 1.5 years old and 30 pounds. He was hanging around the shelter for a couple of weeks, he was given food, water and some love, but we decided to take him in when he arrived really injured and covered in blood, we think he was attacked by dogs. Fortunately in his medical checkup he didn't come out with many problems, and he is now healthy and ready for his new home! He knows how to coexist with other dogs, although he has his temper, he is usually very tolerant with effusive puppies. He likes to sleep in his giant bed, is crate-trained, house-trained and is sociable and friendly with new people. He knows how to ride in a car, and smiles when you scold him, he is adorable! We don't know exactly what breed he is, google lens finds a resemblance to an English Pointer and Andalusian ratter. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.
