Pointer/Heeler mix? Whatever Lane is, he is a very sweet, and shy boy but is playful with the other dogs. He gets along great with other dogs, seems to be fine with my outside cats (although he may chase one if it runs). He is good with kids over 12yrs, toddlers and energetic active kids make him a bit nervous [not aggressive] so would recommend older children. Lane absolutely LOVES the water and playing in the dog pool! He's still very shy around adults when first meeting and takes a while to warm up (not aggressive, just extremely shy). He has done very well with his house and crate training. Does pretty good on the leash, still gets spooked but we're working on building confidence. Lane just needs someone with lots of patience to give him a chance to show how much love he has to give.*** All dogs are physically located in Victoria, Texas (but can be transported anywhere in the US & Canada. ***Adoption applications can be found at www.pittypawsbullyrescue.org/adopt-a-bulls, click on the words Adoption Form or the Adopt Me button and choose the name in the drop down. If the name does not show up then the dog has been reserved with a deposit already. Puppies will not be available for out of town (not local to Victoria Texas) adoptions until after they have been completely vetted at a minimum of 13 weeks. Non-refundable Adoption fees are $150-200 and cover their vetting, spay/neuter, shots, rabies, wormings and microchip. We require a $75 non-refundable deposit to reserve a dog. Health certificates to travel out of Texas are $80 and transport fees vary depending on service available and timing. You are also welcome to arrange your own transport.Partially filled out applications, or applications without a vet reference will not be considered without thorough explanation as to why it can not be fully completed.

Meet beautiful Pepper! This gorgeous girl is a lovely Pointer mix. She is the sweetest girl who loves her humans. She is good with kids and calm in the home. Pepper likes dogs her own size or bigger but does not get along with smaller dog or cats. Pepper loves her walks, playtime in the yard and just hanging out with you. A few good scritches and you will be her best buddy.  Pepper has a healthy prey drive, as is normal for her breed. She should not live with cats and will be curious about squirrels and bunnies on walks.  Pepper is vaccinated, chipped and scheduled to be spayed. Elyse is best described as the free spirit. She is easier going once you gain her trust. She wants affection and attention the most. She tries her best to get it. She needs more leash training but is crate trained. She just needs a a chance and a patient, understanding home. She does well with other dogs, but needs time to adjust. She’ll make a great companion for a family looking for a really affectionate, snuggly dog. The brindle sisters were rounded up as pups because they were abandoned at a school. After 4 months, ACO was ordered to start euthanizing. They took weeks to decompress. Just a couple of cute black and white pups running in the neighborhood :( Luckily, a nice lady saw us and decided we NEEDED to be saved :) AND SHE SAVED US :) I LOVE patience and PERSISTENCE!! When I was born, I assure you I didn't want to grow up to be left in a high kill shelter, however, that is what happened to me. LUCKILY, the fates (and some awesome rescue folks) aligned and saved me from certain death and brought me to a safe place where I can find a REAL family and a REAL home. Let me tell you about myself, I am cute, happy, loving, nervous at times, but have the long legs of a pointer! I am about 2 yrs old, and unfortunately have heartworms, but the rescue is treating those buggers so no need to worry about that! He will need someone committed to his ongoing training and exercise, to keep him healthy and happy. Stein's history is unknown but he has done well at the shelter with other dogs his size. Stein can be shy at first so a home with young children is not ideal. Stein would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard to keep him safe. Stein weighs 61 pounds.
