Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I am Beau, a cute, feisty 6-year-old, 10-pound Pomeranian looking for my next great adventure of a forever home. I get along with my furry foster friends but will appropriately correct other dogs if they make me uncomfortable. I could do well as an only dog getting everyone’s full attention or with other small furry friends. I am completely housetrained and will even give you a little sign if you forget. I definitely know when it's feeding time but generally sleep late in the morning, so breakfast time is negotiable. I am leash trained and like to lead the pack. Sometimes, I pull or get a little excited on the leash, but I do love a fenced yard. I like my rides in the car and adventures. I'm okay with grooming until you get to my nails. I might need a muzzle there. I'm also okay with at the vet with a little help (sedative medication). I attach quickly to my humans and look forward to doing the same with my furever family. I just need to feel secure and have boundaries set with a crate in order to thrive. I am alternately a cuddler and independent type, so the best of both worlds. Are you my future family? Am I your future companion? To adopt Beau, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, dental, and all the love you can handle! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Eddie is a 22lb, 14 year old Pomeranian and lab mix who is pretty spry for an old guy. Aside from being a professional napper, he loves a good trot through his foster mom's fenced backyard. Eddie is very quiet and only barks if he is unhappy with a visitor or situation, such as another dog getting into his personal space. For this reason Eddie would thrive in a home as an only dog. He takes some time to warm up, but given space, he will seek out your attention and lean into you for pets and belly rubs. Eddie is food driven and loves his treats after coming inside from going potty. While Eddie walks well on a leash and doesn't pull, a fenced yard is best since he doesn't love all other dogs. Eddie is vision impaired, but can see well enough to navigate furniture and steps. He also has a keen ear for plastic food wrappers. If you have a quiet, relaxed vibe in your home, Eddie would be a perfect companion for you. Eddie's coat is more like a lab and only requires regular brushing, as opposed to regular grooming like poms. He has had a recent dental, with only 6 remaining teeth, but he does well with eating small kibble. This senior boy is just looking for a comfy spot to reside for the rest of his days. To adopt Eddie, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Miwak who is looking for his happily ever after! Miwak came to us from the NYACC a bag of bones, bald, and smelling of death. He was in such terrible condition we actually thought he was a Chinese Crested with severe skin allergies, but a DNA quickly showed that he is a Pomeranian with 9% Poodle in there. Turns out Miwak was suffering from EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), allergies, and a skin infection. We got him fixed up, on prescription food with added enzymes, and poof a fluffy coat appeared! He will need to stay on a prescription diet with added enzymes for life as well as a few medications for allergies, but besides that he is a healthy estimated 7 year old, 14 pound boy ready for a home of his own. Miwak has been sick for a long time so now that he is feeling better, he acts like a playful puppy again. He loves toys, walks, and other furry playmates to romp with. He does like to lift his leg and claim everything as his, but a bellyband is a simple tool to keep that pee contained while he continues working on housetraining. Miwak is shy with new people but after a few minutes he will be your best friend! This guy is truly a unique looking boy with so much life and love to share.... he just needs a family to do it with. Will that be you? To adopt Miwak, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.April is a wee bit of a stuck up Queen looking for her new castle and minions to rule. This 3 year old, 8 pound Beaver Pom knows she is too beautiful for the simple life of a peasant. She is healthy except for her epilepsy that is well controlled on medication. If she feels she is being wronged by her court, she will feign an episode of drama that is easily fixed by being held and stroked while verbally reassuring her she is the fairest of them all. She likes to strutt her Pom prance on a designer harness and leash, but will only be seen in public with others sporting only the classiest of apparel. She mocks those beneath her status with a swift snark of a bark. April demands only the finest of feasts for her picky palette and only the fanciest groomer will do for her spa needs. She must have the highest thread count for her Queen size bed linens and servants to scratch her tummy while lulling her to sleep. Her chauffeur must accommodate her with a lap to be perched upon for all her travels or she will ensure a headache with her whines of disapproval and she must have the most expensive of squeaky toys to curb her appetite of daily play. She went to the best finishing school in the land and loves to show off her talents of being too good for anyone, but in the privacy of her quarters she does let loose and romp with other fancy Poms. If you promise not to disclose the 'cheap' adoption donation to her and promise to meet her ridiculous requirements then she may be the girl for you! To adopt April, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org.
