Story
Have you heard the phrase, a face only a mother could love? Well, let us introduce you to the inspiration for it. Meet Guppy! This little guy may not have won the genetics lottery, but what he lacks in looks he makes up for in charm. He could be a pug mix, he could not be. Perhaps bulldog? Only a DNA test will reveal the truth. Do we really know his age? Could he be 2 or 7, who is to say? He was born without his right eye, has a uniquely shaped head, a major underbite, and an endearing wobbly walk. He came to us from the California Central Valley with a few other pugs after his owner went into a nursing home without a care plan. Guppy is looking for a home where he can chew on toys, lounge the day away, and follow his person like a shadow. Hes crate-trained, and while hes still working on potty training, a consistent routine will help him get back on track after being shuffled around these last few weeks. He's good with confident cats and dogs of all sizes, but we suspect he would be happy as an only-dog, too. If youre searching for a quirky, one-of-a-kind companion, Guppy just might be the pug for you! He's being fostered in Rohnert Park through The Pug Hotel.

Story
Meet Bonnie! This sassy girl came to us from The Pug Queen after being rescued from a difficult situation in Mexico. We estimate shes around three years old. Bonnie is a total bowling ball of personality, and while shes resilient and full of spark, some past trauma shows itself around kids of all ages. Shes not a fan of their small hands and youthful energy, and we really wish we knew more about what she went through. Because of this, were looking for an adult-only home for her. She does great with other dogs and cats who can appreciate (and respect) her confident, dominant energy. Bonnie loves zoomies in the yard, soaking up the sun, breathing in the fresh air, and going on walkswhich is perfect, because a bit of extra exercise will help her shed a pound or two for her heart and joint health. Shes happy to curl up on your lap while you work or relax, but the moment youre up, shes ready to join you on the next adventure. Aside from her weight, Bonnies only other health note is something that has already been treated. Several months ago in Mexico, she tested positive for Anaplasma, a tick-borne disease, and completed a full course of antibiotics. Like many dogs who have been exposed, she will likely always test positive due to lingering antibodies in her blood. She has no symptoms and does not require any further treatment. Bonnie is fully trained, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Story
Jack came to us as a stray from the Central Valley and quickly won everyone over with his incredibly sweet nature. He loves being petted, cuddling, and being held, and he is always ready to give kisses. Because his vision is limited, Jack truly values human touch as both guidance and comfort. The vet thinks he's around 3 years old; his teeth are in good shape! Jack has limited vision in one eye, and the other eye was either underdeveloped or closed due to an untreated injury before he came to us. We believe he can see shadows, but he relies heavily on sound to navigate his world. Despite this, he gets around very well and takes everything in stride. He is great with other dogs, friendly with strangers, and unsurprisingly unconcerned about cats. Jack loves his meals and treats, does wonderfully in the car, and is currently working on potty training. If you are looking for a happy, affectionate dog to curl up with and share your life, Jack is a perfect match. He would do well in almost any home and is an easy companion to take along with you. Homes with stairs will need to use baby gates to prevent any accidental tumbles.

Story
Daisy is a pocket-sized pug, about a year old, and bursting with personality and energy. True to form for a young black female pug, shes active, playful, and always on the go. She would thrive in a busy, fun-loving home, especially one with other young dogs who can keep up with her enthusiasm. With proper introductions, Daisy does well with other dogs and quickly decides theyre her new best friends. Shes much the same with people too. She may be a little unsure at first, but it doesnt take long before shes in your lap, ready to cuddle. Sudden or quick movements can make her a bit skittish, so a calm and patient approach helps her feel secure. Because of her high energy level, Daisy will need an active home that can include her in outings like park visits, beach days, hikes, and other adventures. She loves to play fetch, so toys are a must! She is very much still a puppy, full of playful antics, nibbling on fingers and ears, and highly food motivated. Shell benefit from continued training to learn household boundaries and curb begging, along with ongoing positive reinforcement. Shes doing well with potty training but will need patience and consistency as she settles into a new routine. Daisy is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. She is currently being fostered in the North Bay near Marin and is ready to find her perfect match.

Story
Say hello to Remy and that adorable little tongue! Its always peeking out because Remy has no teeth (more on that below), and it only adds to her charm. Remy is a four-year-old pug who came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for her forever home. Remy is affectionate, smart, and already knows her basic commands (and some fun ones!) Shes fully potty trained and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Right now, shes a bit unsure about the changes in her life and bonds quickly, but that just means she has an incredible amount of love to give. A true velcro pug, Remy wants to be by your side and go everywhere with you. Shes an active girl who enjoys playtime and exercise, especially a good game of fetch (though shes still working on the drop it part). Remy enjoys walks, sniffing around, and soaking up the sunshine. She would do best with someone experienced in leash training, as she can be reactive to large dogs while on leash. While she generally gets along with other dogs, she does show some resource guarding, so thoughtful introductions and guidance are important. Shes been around cats and young kids, but she may thrive best in a home without them. Remy would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to provide the consistency, reassurance, and companionship she needs right now. All of Remys teeth were removed when she was young due to some malformations, so she eats softened kibble and absolutely loves her veggies. Bonus: no dental cleanings needed! She has no health issues other than the one that was resolved with the teeth pulling. Her previous family decided to rehome her after welcoming a baby and no longer having the time she deserves. Remy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and shes currently being fostered in San Francisco. Shes ready to give her whole heart to a family who will cherish her forever.

Story
This beautiful pug is a little over a year old and most likely part Panda pug with his unique coloring. Despite his age, hes not a typical confident and playful dog due to his upbringing. His previous owner gave him away after keeping him outside as to not deal with the antics of a puppy, which has unfortunately resulted in under socialization. He is a hesitant but curious guy, and we know deep down theres a happy pug waiting to come out. Hes surprisingly potty trained, but he doesnt understand much else about being a dog. Toys were foreign to him, as were cuddles. He is essentially starting from the basics and will benefit greatly from puppy socialization classes and positive, reward-based obedience training. Benjamin is sweet with other dogs and clearly wants affection; he just isnt quite sure how to ask for it yet. It took his fosters a few days before he felt safe enough to take a treat from their hand, but he is slowly learning that hands bring good things like treats and gentle pets. He feels most comfortable accepting affection when he is up on a bed or couch, where he feels a little more secure. Benjamin is making steady progress every day. With patience, consistency, and a calm, understanding home, we are confident this beautiful boy will blossom into a more confident, playful dog; exactly the kind of puppy he deserved to be from the very beginning. Were looking for a calm home to love him forever, and we think he could benefit from another dog who can show him the ropes. Young children will overwhelm him. If thats your and your home, please reach out! Hes vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Benjamin is being fostered in Sacramento.
