Story
Have you heard the phrase, a face only a mother could love? Well, let us introduce you to the inspiration for it. Meet Guppy! This little guy may not have won the genetics lottery, but what he lacks in looks he makes up for in charm. He could be a pug mix, he could not be. Perhaps bulldog? Only a DNA test will reveal the truth. Do we really know his age? Could he be 2 or 7, who is to say? He was born without his right eye, has a uniquely shaped head, a major underbite, and an endearing wobbly walk. He came to us from the California Central Valley with a few other pugs after his owner went into a nursing home without a care plan. Guppy is looking for a home where he can chew on toys, lounge the day away, and follow his person like a shadow. Hes crate-trained, and while hes still working on potty training, a consistent routine will help him get back on track after being shuffled around these last few weeks. He's good with confident cats and dogs of all sizes, but we suspect he would be happy as an only-dog, too. If youre searching for a quirky, one-of-a-kind companion, Guppy just might be the pug for you! He's being fostered in Rohnert Park through The Pug Hotel.

Story
This 6-month-old puppy is truly something special. When he first came to us, Jett was terrified of human touch, so much so that even gentle pets felt overwhelming. With time, patience, and a whole lot of love, he spent 12 days quietly observing from his foster home before finally coming out of his shell. Since then, hes been blossoming more and more every day. Once Jett trusts you, he becomes your little shadow. He bonds quickly with other dogs and gains confidence from them, so were looking for a home with another friendly dog who can help guide him and show him the ropes. Jett has a silly, joyful puppy personality. He loves backyard zoomies and is incredibly sweet. He adores other dogs, happily following them around, licking their ears, and occasionally stealing a toy or two. Hes mostly potty trained, though like many rescue dogs, a brief regression is normal when adjusting to a new environment. What he needs most is a home willing to give him time and patience, so he can fully understand that hes finally safe and home. He does well with cats, largely ignoring them, and has met kids. We believe hed thrive best with older children who can respect his space as he continues to build confidence. Jett will be neutered on Tuesday, January 20, and will also receive his microchip and vaccinations.

Story
Meet Hobbs, a 25-pound cuddle bug who is ready for his second chance at a forever home. Hobbs was returned to the shelter because he wasnt fully potty trained yet, but its important to remember that potty training takes time, consistency, and patience. Dogs arent born knowing these skills, and pups coming out of a shelter environment, where they can go anywhere, often need time to adjust and learn a new routine. He would do best in a home with kids 10 and over as can get overwhelmed by young kids crying. What Hobbs lacks in house-training experience, he more than makes up for in love. He is happiest right by your side or under your feet, soaking up all the affection he can get. Hes friendly with everyone he meets, does well with other dogs, and happily ignores cats. Hobbs is currently on a diet so he can get his waistline back, but that just means hes working toward being an even healthier, happier companion. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped, and hes ready to find a patient, loving home that will help him continue learning and thriving.

Story
Meet Emerald! Emerald is a sweet, fawn-colored pug mix with a heart as big as her personality. Around 4 years old and just over 12 pounds, shes the perfect compact companion who loves being close to her person whenever she can. Whether shes tagging along on walks, exploring new places, or simply keeping you company at home, Emerald is happiest by your side. At night, shes a dream: quietly curling up in bed and sleeping soundly until youre ready to start the day. She has an affectionate, gentle nature, sprinkled with the occasional burst of playful zoomies that remind you just how fun she is. And while Emerald may only have one developed eye, dont let that fool you: she sees everything and doesnt miss a beat! If youre looking for an adorable, loyal partner and constant companion, Emerald is your girl. Shes truly one of a kind and ready to bring so much love into her forever home. She's great with other dogs, and she's getting spayed on 1/20. We pulled her from the shelter, and she was born with an underdeveloped eye (which doesn't impair her in any way!)

Story
Meet Klaus! This adorable pug puppy with a beautiful cream coat came to us from a Central Valley shelter where he had been surrendered by his owner. At just 8 months old, Klaus is a typical puppy who loves to play, do zoomies, and then crash happily in your arms. He is making great progress with potty training with frequent trips outside and is thriving in his foster home with other dogs and cats, getting along well with everyone. He's comfortable with a dog door now; he's a fast learner! Klaus is happiest around other dogs, so we are looking for a home with built-in besties for him. Klauss favorite place to sleep is on your pillow, right next to your head. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Since we do not have vaccine records from his previous owner, we recommend a DaPP booster in two weeks to ensure full protection against distemper and parvo.

Story
Simba is one of the sweetest, silliest pugs youll ever meet. This little guy is all heart: he just wants to be close to his person and soak up every bit of love he can get. Hes on the more submissive side and doesnt play much with other dogs, but he gets along with everyone just fine. Simbas dream home is one filled with attention, activity, and plenty of playtime. He loves playing fetch, enjoys long walks, and is always ready to curl up on the couch for cuddles. At night, he can sleep in a crate as long as a human is nearby, but he cant be crated during the day or in any wire crate (hell try to chew his way out). Hes brushing up on his house manners, like not jumping or begging, and hes showing just how smart and sensitive he is. This guy even knows how to use a doggie door! With the right family, Simba will be an endlessly loyal, goofy, and loving companion. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped as well. Simba came to us through another rescuer who saved him from a life in a crate outdoors in Mexico.
