Shes very food motivated (treats are definitely the way to her heart!) but has a gentle nature around food and is not protective of her meals or snacks. Isla thrives on affection, attention, and being close to her humans. Isla is also working on her potty training and doing well with consistency, patience, and encouragement. With guidance, regular trips outside, and lots of praise, shes well on her way and eager to keep learning with her future family. To help set her up for a happy, healthy future, Isla is getting spayed tomorrow with a soft palate surgery to improve her breathing and comfort. Story

Hoagie is the ultimate cuddle bug, happiest when hes right beside his people. Within minutes of arriving at his foster home, he made himself part of the family, following his humans from room to room, hopping onto the sofa for snuggles, and curling up in bed at night. He forms deep bonds quickly and absolutely thrives on love and companionship. We estimate him to be about 8 years old. Hoagie is hard of hearing and relies on visual cues, but the second he spots his person, he lights up and comes running with excitement. Hes incredibly affectionate, attentive, and just wants to be near the people he loves. He also has a serious weakness for carrots. He came to rescue from a Stockton shelter after being found as a stray. Not long after arriving, he developed kennel cough and needed an emergency vet visit, but thankfully he recovered well and is now feeling great. Hoagie would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Being alone is hard for him, and hell bark or howl when his people leave because he simply loves being close. Otherwise, hes a pretty quiet guy, except when meals are involved because then he makes sure everyone knows its time to eat. Hes friendly and curious with other dogs and has been gentle and sweet with visitors, including children. On leash, he may bark at people or dogs, but off leash hes much more relaxed and easygoing. He enjoys slow strolls full of sniffing and exploring rather than long, fast-paced walks. Hes also potty trained. Hoagie was recently neutered, received a dental cleaning, and got soft palate surgery to help him breathe better. This sweet, devoted boy is ready for a forever home that will give him the closeness, comfort, and love hes been searching for.

Say hello to Remy and that adorable little tongue! Its always peeking out because Remy has no teeth (more on that below), and it only adds to her charm. Remy is a four-year-old pug who came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for her forever home. Remy is affectionate, smart, and already knows her basic commands (and some fun ones!) Shes fully potty trained and loves nothing more than being close to her people. She also is great in a crate! A true velcro pug, Remy wants to be by your side and go everywhere with you. Shes an active girl who enjoys playtime and exercise, especially a good game of fetch. Remy enjoys hikes, sniffing around, and soaking up the sunshine. While she generally gets along with other dogs, she does show some resource guarding, so thoughtful introductions and guidance are important. She's also not a big fan of larger dogs, much like many small dogs. Shes been around cats and young kids and does fine. Remy would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to provide the consistency, reassurance, and companionship she needs right now. All of Remys teeth were removed when she was young due to some malformations, so she eats softened kibble and absolutely loves her veggies. Bonus: no dental cleanings needed! She has no health issues other than the one that was resolved with the teeth pulling. Her previous family decided to rehome her after welcoming a baby and no longer having the time she deserves. Remy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and shes currently being fostered in San Francisco. Shes ready to give her whole heart to a family who will cherish her forever.

This adorable little pug is equal parts playful goofball and cuddle bug. Around 2 years old, Wesley came to us from a Central Valley shelter after being found as a stray, and hes quickly proven himself to be a happy, loving boy whos ready for a forever family of his own. Wesley loves other dogs and gets along great with pups of all sizes. His favorite pastime? Catching the zoomies and racing around the yard playing tag with his dog friends. Once playtime is over, though, hes all about snuggles and will happily curl up next to his human for a full night of cozy sleep. Like the true pug he is, Wesley believes personal space is overrated. Hell be your little shadow throughout the day: under your feet in the kitchen, beside you on the couch, or planted directly in your lap no matter what youre doing. He does get a little dramatic if you leave the room and may whine for a few minutes, but he settles down quickly once he realizes youre coming back. Wesley still has that fun young-dog energy and can occasionally get a little mouthy during play, so his future family will need to continue helping him learn good manners. Hes smart, eager, and extremely food motivated, which makes training much easier. Hes already learned how to use the dog door and is making great progress with potty training, though hell still need consistency in his new home. Meal times are very serious business to Wesley. Hes convinced all food belongs to him and will absolutely attempt to sample another dogs dinner if given the opportunity. Typical pug behavior! Wesley has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. His dream home would be one where he gets to go on adventures, spend plenty of time with his people, and have other playful dogs around to romp with.

Please read before applying: Mouse has been diagnosed with bilateral luxating patellas; one is mild and one is severe enough to eventually require surgery when she's older and more fully grown (a year or so). Our veterinarian also believes she may have a mild form of hydrocephalus due to her stunted growth. She does not need treatment at this time and may never develop significant symptoms, but she will need lifelong monitoring for neurological changes. We will only be considering adopters without small children or large dogs due to her size and fragility. She will also need to be fed 3-4 times a day for the next few months and would do best with another young small dog to play and socialize with. Mouse came to us with two of her siblings; she was severely underweight at 1/3rd the size of them. She didn't put on any weight for weeks, and when she did it was incremental. She's a total spitfire, and we think it's to make up for her tiny body. She has a big personality, loves untying your shoes, running around screaming after other dogs, curling up in your arms, snuggling with other dogs, and making everyone around her laugh. Adopters are required to sign a spay contract.

Ethel and Lucy are ready to find their forever home together. A few weeks ago, we introduced you to this sweet bonded pair after they were rescued from a heartbreaking situation. At six years old, Ethel and Lucy had endured years of neglect and abuse. They were used for breeding, confined to crates inside an RV, and denied proper medical care for far too long. Both girls have Grade 4 bilateral luxating patellas, leaving them with permanently displaced kneecaps and bowed legs. Despite everything theyve been through, their spirits remain incredibly gentle, loving, and trusting. From the moment they arrived in our care, they leaned on one another for comfort. Ethel lovingly grooms Lucy every day, and the two are rarely apart. They explore side by side, curl up together for naps, and happily hop around the yard without pain. They adore being held, sitting on laps, and following their favorite people wherever they go. Ethel and Lucy are wonderful with children and dogs of all sizes. At our recent adoption event, they happily welcomed attention from everyone they met, soaking up pets and cuddles from strangers with ease. These girls deserve a home filled with love, patience, soft beds, and all the princess treatment they were denied for so many years.
