Story
Have you heard the phrase, a face only a mother could love? Well, let us introduce you to the inspiration for it. Meet Guppy! This little guy may not have won the genetics lottery, but what he lacks in looks he makes up for in charm. He could be a pug mix, he could not be. Perhaps bulldog? Only a DNA test will reveal the truth. Do we really know his age? Could he be 2 or 7, who is to say? He was born without his right eye, has a uniquely shaped head, a major underbite, and an endearing wobbly walk. He came to us from the California Central Valley with a few other pugs after his owner went into a nursing home without a care plan. Guppy is looking for a home where he can chew on toys, lounge the day away, and follow his person like a shadow. Hes crate-trained, and while hes still working on potty training, a consistent routine will help him get back on track after being shuffled around these last few weeks. He's good with confident cats and dogs of all sizes, but we suspect he would be happy as an only-dog, too. If youre searching for a quirky, one-of-a-kind companion, Guppy just might be the pug for you! He's being fostered in Rohnert Park through The Pug Hotel.

Story
Jack came to us as a stray from the Central Valley and quickly won everyone over with his incredibly sweet nature. He loves being petted, cuddling, and being held, and he is always ready to give kisses. Because his vision is limited, Jack truly values human touch as both guidance and comfort. The vet thinks he's around 3 years old; his teeth are in good shape! Jack has limited vision in one eye, and the other eye was either underdeveloped or closed due to an untreated injury before he came to us. We believe he can see shadows, but he relies heavily on sound to navigate his world. Despite this, he gets around very well and takes everything in stride. He is great with other dogs, friendly with strangers, and unsurprisingly unconcerned about cats. Jack loves his meals and treats, does wonderfully in the car, and is currently working on potty training. If you are looking for a happy, affectionate dog to curl up with and share your life, Jack is a perfect match. He would do well in almost any home and is an easy companion to take along with you. Homes with stairs will need to use baby gates to prevent any accidental tumbles.

Story
Evelyn or Evie, as we like to call her is a petite little bundle of fun. We suspect shes about 25% Frenchie based on her sturdy build, expressive face, and big personality, but she absolutely has the pug traits we all know and adore. Shes your constant shadow, loves snuggling with her foster siblings, curls up beside you at night, and brings endless playful energy to every day. Evie came to us from a backyard breeding situation. Because shes still too young to be spayed, her adopters will need to sign a spay agreement. Shell head home in mid-March after receiving her second round of vaccines and a microchip. As a young puppy, shell need a family who is home throughout the day to provide multiple feedings, consistent socialization, and the structure she needs to grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog. She's great with dogs of all sizes and doesn't seem to mind cats.

Story
If you are looking for nonstop puppy joy, Milo is your guy. He is the definition of young pug energy. Active, playful, affectionate, and social, Milo loves being part of everything you do and will happily follow you from room to room just to stay close. He is still working on potty training, but he is eager to please and very food motivated, which makes training a great opportunity to bond (as successful as pug training can be!). Like most puppies, Milo comes with some classic antics. He jumps up on people, so supervision around small children is important. He also enjoys nibbling on just about everything and can be delightfully excitable. Milo came to us as an owner surrender when his previous family realized they did not have the time needed to properly train and engage a growing puppy. They wanted him to have a home that could dedicate the time and attention he deserves. Milo is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and negative for heartworm.

Story
Captain Monocle earned his name at the shelter after having one eye removed due to an injury, but dont let that fool you. This wonderful young adult doesnt miss a beat. Hes fully potty trained, incredibly social, active, and endlessly loving. He has a playful, puppy-like spirit and loves to give gentle love bites, so in a home with young kids, hell do best with supervision and guidance to help everyone learn how to interact respectfully with a mouthy, playful pug. At the dog park, hes the life of the party, happily playing with everyone and confidently ruling the scene. He adores his toys, enjoys a good play-fight, and thrives with canine companionship. He especially loves spending time with his foster pug siblings, so a home with another dog would be ideal for him to grow and play alongside. True to his pug nature, he snores loudly, follows you from room to room, and insists on being wherever the action and attention are. Hes a bit of a digger and isnt shy about nudging his way to the front if another dog is getting pets first. He wants his share of love, too. Captain Monocle is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and currently fostered in Sacramento. Hes a big-hearted love bug, and whoever welcomes him home will be incredibly lucky.

Story
Say hello to Remy and that adorable little tongue! Its always peeking out because Remy has no teeth (more on that below), and it only adds to her charm. Remy is a four-year-old pug who came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for her forever home. Remy is affectionate, smart, and already knows her basic commands (and some fun ones!) Shes fully potty trained and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Right now, shes a bit unsure about the changes in her life and bonds quickly, but that just means she has an incredible amount of love to give. A true velcro pug, Remy wants to be by your side and go everywhere with you. Shes an active girl who enjoys playtime and exercise, especially a good game of fetch (though shes still working on the drop it part). Remy enjoys walks, sniffing around, and soaking up the sunshine. She would do best with someone experienced in leash training, as she can be reactive to large dogs while on leash. While she generally gets along with other dogs, she does show some resource guarding, so thoughtful introductions and guidance are important. Shes been around cats and young kids, but she may thrive best in a home without them. Remy would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to provide the consistency, reassurance, and companionship she needs right now. All of Remys teeth were removed when she was young due to some malformations, so she eats softened kibble and absolutely loves her veggies. Bonus: no dental cleanings needed! She has no health issues other than the one that was resolved with the teeth pulling. Her previous family decided to rehome her after welcoming a baby and no longer having the time she deserves. Remy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and shes currently being fostered in San Francisco. Shes ready to give her whole heart to a family who will cherish her forever.

Story
Meet Karl a 5-year-old White English Bulldog x Beluga Whale mix. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who looks like a marshmallow and moves like a wiggly bowling ball, Karl is your guy. This 5-year-old bulldog is equal parts charm, chunk, and comedy. He’s moderately energetic for a bulldog type: not a marathon runner, but definitely up for adventures followed by naps. With people, Karl is affectionate and endearing. He happily approaches, leans his solid little body into your legs. With other dogs, Karl is social and playful, though he can be a bit forward and pushy at first. He’s shown loose, wiggly play behavior, some play bows, and friendly engagement, but may rush in with enthusiasm and try to bulldoze his way into the fun. Managed, slower introductions and guidance will help him succeed. As a bulldog-type mix, Karl will need a home that understands the breed’s ongoing care needs. That means keeping wrinkles clean and dry, wiping after potty breaks, moisturizing that adorable nose, cleaning ears, and being mindful of overheating or breathing strain with overexertion. A breed-savvy (or bully-experienced) home will help him stay comfortable and healthy. .If you’re looking for a sturdy, affectionate, slightly pushy, delightfully squishy companion who will lean into you like you’re his favorite piece of furniture, Karl might just be your perfect match.
