Story
Joey is a 2-year-old, 14-pound neutered male Pug who’s equal parts goofball, cuddlebug, and loyal little sidekick. If you know Pugs, you know they’re expert-level snugglers, full of charm, and happiest when they’re right by your side—and Joey is no exception. 🐶 About Joey: 🐾 Breed: Pug 📅 Age: 2 years old ⚖️ Size: 14 lbs 🧡 Temperament: Affectionate, silly, and super people-oriented ✅ Neutered and up-to-date on care ✨ What Makes Joey Special: Joey has all the classic Pug personality traits we love: - Affectionate – He’s a total lovebug who wants nothing more than to curl up next to you (or on you). - Playful – Joey’s still got plenty of young-dog energy and loves a good romp or game of chase. - Charming – With that trademark Pug face and expressive eyes, he’ll have you wrapped around his curly tail in no time. - Loyal – He’s happiest when he’s with his person and makes a fantastic little shadow around the house. Pugs are known for their friendly, gentle nature, and Joey gets along great with people and could do well with other friendly dogs too.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Subway is not a GGBR dog...he is a   COURTESY LISTING  for Hearts and Paws Rescue. Please contact that rescue directly at 530-304-7629  Hearts and Paws Rescue has this to say about this happy fellow:'Subway, who likely is about 5 years old, was on the euthanasia list at the Yolo County Shelter due to kennel reactivity and 'a dislike of dogs.' Once Subway came to the farm, it was clear that he was no couch potato and is actually a super play dog to all dogs, big and small. He LOVES all people. He is super social and friendly, wanting to meet everyone he sees. He has a great recall and is great on a leash. 'What is he?? That is anyone's guess, but the basset in him is clear. He isn't chunky; he is just big boned. Subway especially loves big friendly dogs and he is quick to play and just as quick to poop out after play. He is very comforatble and appropriate being left for long peridos of time, expecially if he has a playmate or a large enclosure of his own. He is great in the house,  sleeps soundly and he is housetrained. He is very bonded with my son and likes big men best. 'Subway is obsessed with cats, so no cats for Subway. He is great around horses. For Subway, the bigger, the kinder and gentler, and the more exercise he gets, the better he becomes. He needs and desires lots of outside time and another okay dog in his life is ideal. He would make a great compaion dog to a breed like the Belgian Malinois or herding dog who can outrun and outplay him. He is really good with puppies and likes male puppies.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 8, 2025, 9:35 pm

Story
Have you heard the phrase, a face only a mother could love? Well, let us introduce you to the inspiration for it. Meet Guppy! This little guy may not have won the genetics lottery, but what he lacks in looks he makes up for in charm. He could be a pug mix, he could not be. Perhaps bulldog? Only a DNA test will reveal the truth. Do we really know his age? Could he be 2 or 7, who is to say? He was born without his right eye, has a uniquely shaped head, a major underbite, and an endearing wobbly walk. He came to us from the California Central Valley with a few other pugs after his owner went into a nursing home without a care plan. Guppy is looking for a home where he can chew on toys, lounge the day away, and follow his person like a shadow. Hes crate-trained, and while hes still working on potty training, a consistent routine will help him get back on track after being shuffled around these last few weeks. He's good with confident cats and dogs of all sizes, but we suspect he would be happy as an only-dog, too. If youre searching for a quirky, one-of-a-kind companion, Guppy just might be the pug for you! He's being fostered in Rohnert Park through The Pug Hotel.

Story
Dale is around 6 months old and might just be the sweetest little snuggle muffin youll ever meet. He loves every dog he meets, has a lot of feelings about cats (he prefers to tell them), and wiggles with excitement when new people say hello. Hes discovering the world one adorable adventure at a time. Hes doing great with his potty training and proudly uses the doggy door like a champ. Dale absolutely lights up when hes praised, so a home that offers consistency, encouragement, and treats will help him keep growing into the wonderful pup hes meant to be. Hes also learning how to walk on a leash and is picking it up with his signature puppy enthusiasm. Dale will be neutered and get his vaccine boosters on 12/8, and hell be ready for his forever family right after. If youre dreaming of a snuggly sidekick for the holidays, this little guy is ready to crawl right into your lap and your heart. He and his brother came to us after another rescuer saved them from being sold in a bar in Mexico, and now hes ready for a fresh start full of love.

Story
Maggie came to us as an owner surrender due to landlord issues. She is a young pug mix, not sure with what, and can be shy at first but then opens up and loves to be held. She is playful with other dogs, ignores cats and would love a yard to be able to run around in. She has not had any accidents in her foster home, is trying to figure out the dog door (it's a little scary). Leash walking is new to her, but she will get the hang of it soon. She may not be your typical looking pug, but she will definitely be your shadow just like a pug! If you are open to giving her a chance, she will reward you with kisses and lots of love.
