Story
If you're looking for a loyal sidekick who wants to be involved in every part of your day, Gerald is your guy. This happy, affectionate pug loves being with his people and will happily follow you from room to room just to see what you're up to. Lovingly called Jerry, this happy guy came to us from a CA Central Valley shelter. We estimate him to be around 3 years old, and he is playful, social, and always ready for an adventure. He enjoys walks, loves attention, and is quick to offer cuddles when it's time to relax. He's eager to please and has a wonderful, goofy personality that makes people fall for him fast. Like many rescue dogs, Jerry is still working on a few things. He's learning leash manners and gets more confident on walks every day. He's also making progress with potty training as he settles into a routine. He has a small undeveloped eye that does not hurt or need to be removed. Jerry would do best in a home where he can be the star of the show and soak up plenty of love and attention. He hasn't been tested with children yet, but everyone he's met so far has been greeted with enthusiasm, curiosity, and lots of affection. He's friendly with cats, but like most dogs will want to chase them if they run. He recently got neutered, a dental cleaning, a microchip, and full vaccinations. If you're looking for a devoted companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Jerry is ready to meet you.

Story
Pudding Cup is ready for her forever home! If you're looking for a happy, affectionate, easygoing girl, Pudding Cup might be your perfect match. We estimate this sweet girl to be about 4 years old, and she's social, friendly, cuddly, and always ready for some fun. She loves people, kids, and other dogs, and she's just as happy being your one and only as she is having furry friends. Pudding Cup is potty trained, uses a dog door, and is a total pro in the car. She loves to snuggle and be held, and her silly personality comes out when it's time to play. One of her current favorite activities is enthusiastically thrashing around in her bed! We rescued Pudding Cup from a North Bay humane society, where the stressful kennel environment wasn't bringing out her best. Once she was in foster, we got to see the happy, loving girl she really is. During her spay and dental, we also asked our vet to check a bump on her rear end. He removed it and sent it for testing, and it turned out to be a low-grade mast cell tumor. The good news is that it was caught early and completely removed. We know hearing the word "cancer" can be scary, but we're very hopeful about her outlook. Pudding Cup is now spayed, had her dental cleaning, and is fully vaccinated and microchipped. She's ready to find her forever family! She is currently being fostered in Vacaville, CA.

Story
Say hello to Remy and that adorable little tongue! It's always peeking out because Remy has no teeth (more on that below), and it only adds to her charm. Remy is an adult pug who came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for her forever home. Remy is affectionate, smart, and already knows her basic commands (and some fun ones!) She's fully potty trained and loves nothing more than being close to her people. She also is great in a crate! A true velcro pug, Remy wants to be by your side and go everywhere with you. She's an active girl who enjoys playtime and exercise, especially a good game of fetch. Remy enjoys hikes, sniffing around, and soaking up the sunshine. While she generally gets along with other dogs, she does show some resource guarding, so thoughtful introductions and guidance are important. She's also not a big fan of larger dogs, much like many small dogs. She's been around cats and young kids and does fine. Remy would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to provide the consistency, reassurance, and companionship she needs right now. All of Remy's teeth were removed when she was young due to some malformations, so she eats softened kibble and absolutely loves her veggies. Bonus: no dental cleanings needed! She has no health issues other than the one that was resolved with the teeth pulling. Her previous family decided to rehome her after welcoming a baby and no longer having the time she deserves. Remy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she's currently being fostered in San Francisco. She's ready to give her whole heart to a family who will cherish her forever.

Story
Meet Vina! Vina is a sweet and sassy girl with plenty of personality. Her favorite things include carrying around plush toys, exploring the neighborhood on walks, and snoozing on her back as close to her people as possible. She enjoys playing and cuddling with her mellow male pug foster brother, but she's definitely the boss of the relationship. She'd do best as an only dog or with a calmer, more submissive male dog, since she's definitely an alpha female. Her previous owners told us she's four years old. Vina walks beautifully on leash and loves getting out for daily adventures, which is perfect because she's working on shedding a few pounds. Vina definitely needs to slim down to help with breathing, heart health, and her joints. She may occasionally bark at people or other dogs while on leash, but off leash she's incredibly social and will happily climb right into a new friend's lap for cuddles. We haven't tested her with cats, but she's very interested in them on walks and would likely chase them. She's mostly potty trained and is getting used to the door door. With patience and reassurance, we're confident she'll be house trained once she's settled into a forever home. She's also crate trained, although she'd much rather be wherever her people are. Vina came to us as an owner surrender after her family welcomed a new baby and could no longer provide the time and attention she deserved. Overall, Vina is an easy, lovable companion. She isn't destructive, doesn't bark excessively, and does a wonderful job matching the energy of her people. Whether you're heading out for a walk, taking a car ride, or spending the evening curled up on the couch, Vina is happiest right by your side. She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and being fostered in Sacramento, CA.
