Story
Hello, I'm Mike and I really enjoy playing with other dogs and enjoy being around people as long as they know a few guidelines. I absolutely LOVE to snuggle with people.  I really like if you'll play ball with me or take walks together and while I'm thinking about it, other kinds of toys are a lot of fun too.  I'm great at watching movies because it lets me perfect my couch potato skills.   While I like to cuddle and get into the personal space of my people, I don't necessarily like to have my space invaded.  I enjoy head pets and will let you know when I am overwhelmed. I am very vocal.  I do have some rules and I need structure from my humans so that I don't take advantage and know my boundaries.   I would do best in a home with a patient person who is willing to take things slowly with me and enforce good boundaries for me.  It's mostly small things that help give me structure like reminding me to walk through doorways last and sit for food and treats.  Because I am a work in progress, I would not do well with children. I am kennel and potty trained, and good with other pets.  I won't eat your favorite shoes or chew on the furniture, And, do I even need to mention how cute I am?  Just look at my overbite, I know, it's hard to resist. Are you interested in meeting me and seeing if I could be your good buddy?  Please click on my link for more information and let my friends at Demi's know when we can play ball. All dogs are spayed/neutered, mircochipped, heartworm tested (if over 6 months old) and up to date on vaccinations (combo shot, bordetella, rabies(if age appropriate) ) ##1677280##

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Kaius finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Kaius | 2-year-old Pug Mix | A Wiggly Little Charmer Kaius is a 2-year-old, 15-pound pug mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s sweet, playful, and easygoing, and he loves meeting new people. Friendly with strangers and unfazed by everyday noises, Kaius is a happy little companion who enjoys being involved in daily life. He does great on leash and enjoys walks, especially when he can stop and sniff along the way. Kaius has a good amount of playful energy and would benefit from multiple daily walks and dedicated playtime, but once his needs are met, he’s content to relax. He is also very comfortable in his crate, sleeping through the night and settling quickly when left alone for 4–6 hours, particularly with a chew or puzzle toy. Kaius is still mastering his potty routine and is making steady progress with a consistent schedule and lots of positive reinforcement. He’s very treat motivated and eager to learn, which makes continued training a rewarding process. Kaius also loves to chew, and he does best when provided with plenty of appropriate outlets like long-lasting chews and enrichment toys, which help keep him happily occupied. Highly food motivated and affectionate, Kaius thrives on praise and attention. He enjoys yak chews, Kongs with peanut butter, tug toys, and quality time with his people. One of his cutest traits is his wiggly “dance” when his back is scratched, and he loves resting his head in your hands for ear and face rubs. He prefers not to have his paws handled, but does well with a martingale collar. Kaius would thrive in a home with someone who enjoys walks, playtime, and ongoing training. He may do well with another dog companion and would be a wonderful fit for a patient, engaged adopter. In return, Kaius offers endless affection, sweetness, and charm.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $350. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
I am heartworm positive, may require medical follow up after treatment Duncan is a spunky and lovable pug with a big personality in a small package. He is friendly, sweet, and food motivated, which makes him eager to please and a joy to spend time with. Duncan gets along well with other dogs and would make a wonderful companion to chill and hang out around the house—he enjoys being part of the family’s daily routine and soaking up affection. Duncan is heartworm positive and will need ongoing medical follow-up to complete his treatments, so he will need a family ready to support his health needs. With a little care and attention, Duncan is ready to be a loving, loyal member of a patient and caring home. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
